Saedah giggeled softly as she was poked in the side, she found it hard to believe that she could be strong after all everything made her nervous and afraid. Even if she wasn't scared of Reese and his wheelchair anymore. She peered up at him again as he boasted smiling at him with her small cherub face.

She had never thought of it that way. Strangers were just friends she didn't know yet. But...they still made her nervous.

"But..." She started wondering just what she was going to say instead she only smiled and giggeled again, daringly trying to tickle Reese back.

Reese laughed as he was tickled, reaching around with both hands to wiggle his fingers into Saedah's sides. He'd try to encourage her with his actions that it was an okay game to play. It could break into an all out Tickle War!, with Reese getting all red in the face from laughing and giggling.

"Reese!"

But the game would abruptly halt as a familiar voice called Reese's name. The boy nearly cringed in his seat, knowing that a stern talking to was in the near future. After all, he'd gone off by himself.

Glancing back over his shoulder to see Wilbur power walking his way down the hall, Reese looked to Saedah and said reassuringly, "That'th Baka-Wilbur. You don't need to be thcared of him...he'th jutht mad I went off by mythelf. But he'th really nithe."

"Hiya, Wilbur!" Reese said cheerfully as the man caught up with the small group. He looked flustered, like he'd been searching for the boy for a while.

"Young Sir," Wilbur said sternly, sighing with a disappointed shake of his head before turning to Kuyoja. "I am so sorry about this. I hope he wasn't being a bother to your or your daughter."

And Wilbur went off into a small lecture about Reese not disappearing without an adult with him and that it was impolite to have strangers pushing you around through the halls.

Kuyoja stopped pushing the child as the other adult came up to them he assumed by the tone of voice and the way he treated Reese that he was certainly NOT the child's father. Perhaps a he was a caretaker of sorts, moving he turned to face the man wanting to let Saedah have a bit more time with the child as she could.

Saedah was giggling a lot, she didn't laugh loudly she was always a soft soften girl but when suddenly a loud voice interrupted their game, a voice she had never heard before she ducked her head into Reese to try and hide from it. She had gone back to clinging to him, peeking only a bit as Wilbur then went into lecturing the boy.

He was scary, he was mad. Quivering she let out a sob and clung to Reese harder.

Kuyoja shook his head as Wilbur apologized. "There is no need to apologize, my daughter was having a good time talking with Reese. I assume you must be his caretaker?"

Reese slid some in his chair as Saedah clung to him, forgetting the adults for a second as she cried into his side.

"Thaedah! Thaedah, it'th ok! It'th jutht Wilbur...he won't hurt you, I promithe..." Reese said quickly, trying to get her to stop crying, hugging his arms around her and patting her hair softly. Stupid Wilbur, coming up all angry! He'd upset Saedah!

Wilbur took the moment of talking to the other adult to calm himself. After all, he'd really just been worried about Reese being off on his own. What if the child fell out of the chair, or worse? What if he got into somewhere, or something, dangerous?

The butler sighed, shaking his head as he composed himself, "One of them, yes," he said to answer the man's question. "I am Wilbur and I work for Reese's father, Edge, as his butler. I brought Reese in today while I attended to some business for Mr. Edge, but Reese wandered off..."

"Baka-Wilbur!" Reese interrupted, his voice raised and while not quite in a shout, he was definitely displeased. He was demanding attention! "You thcared Thaedah!" Was he chastising the butler? Why yes. Yes, he was.

Wilbur looked down suddenly, more so to correct Reese's tone...until he noticed how terrified the girl looked. Was she crying? Good lord, had he really been that angry?

"Oh my...I'm sorry, young lady," Wilbur spoke softly, looking at Kuyoja. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to upset her. I didn't realize my behavior...oh, my." He knelt down next to Reese's chair; he hated seeing children cry. And she was such a sweet looking little thing.

"I'm terribly sorry, Little Miss. Please don't cry." He was being as earnest as he could manage. Which was pretty damn sincere.

Reese continued to glare at his butler until the man came down to their level, his face softening as he looked at Saedah again. "Thee, Thaedah? He'th not mean, he'th really not."

It didn't take a lot to upset the girl, loud voices, people being angry; it was obvious even as she sobbed into Reese that it also took a bit to calm her down. Even as the butler spoke in a softer tone she seemed to refuse to look at him as if she did Wilbur may suddenly become angry at her.

Kuyoja moved over and gently reached down and separated Saedah from the boy and lifted her into his arms. She refused at first to let go of Reese but once removed from his side she went to clinging to her father. He ran a hand through her hair to try and calm her.

"I apologize, loud voices tend to startle her." He murmured as the little girl continued to bury her face into Kuyoja's chest.

"It may be best if I took her home." He continued as it didn't look like she was going to calm down anytime soon. After all this had been her first encounter with someone who was angry.

"Thaedah..." Reese said as Kuyoja lifted the girl away, sounding a little lost. Almost immediately after the girl's father spoke about taking her home, Reese whirled on his butler.

"You thcared her," he hissed bitterly, his face scrunched in out right anger. He clutched the wheels of his chair tightly, not sure why he felt so enraged. After all, Wilbur hadn't meant to frighten Saedah...but, still. Now they were leaving, and it was all Wilbur's fault!

Wilbur looked heartbroken. He'd let his panic and anger about Reese get the best of him, and in turn had probably scarred this child. Reese's reaction didn't help any, only making him feel more guilty. He took a breath and sighed, slowly standing beside the wheelchair bound boy to give a respectful nod to the other adult.

"Again, my sincerest apologizes," he offered. Not that it would help. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a business card, tearing off the top line before offering it to Kuyoja. "This is our number...please, call when she's feeling up to it. Obviously Reese has made a new friend and would love to see her again."

Reese nodded vigorously from his seat, stretching up to gingerly touch the snake girl's tail...wherever he could reach.

"I'll thee you again real thoon, ok Thaedah?" He wished she'd stop crying. He didn't like seeing her cry.

Kuyoja knew it was't really the butler's fault that Saedah reacted so negatively towards him. She was ...easily starteled and tended to have anxiety attacks when meeting new people who were loud.

"Don't be offended, she tends to react this way with many new people she comes across." He tried to...'comfort' the butler with the words though the way he plainly spoke made it hard to sound comforting. he then turned his head to look down at Reese.

"I am sure Saedah would like to meet with you again. I am sure I can find your number in the files. I best get Saedah home before she gets any more upset." He continued shifting the little girl in his arms so that he had a better hold of her.

Saedah only quivered and sobbed more. She seemed unable to get past the angryness which was Wilbur. Perhaps she was just so used to Kuyoja's passiveness and...rather lack of range of emotions that seeing new ones tended to scare her a lot.
