"Thank you Rojiza." Tsura stepped inside and admired the orderliness the place seemed to have. While there had been a few Banya in the old caravan there had never been a wagon devoted just to them and it was strange and yet interesting to see so many things that recognized that were for them and yet many more that were foreign. Clearly Rojiza knew what she was doing.
Moving to give Rojiza a bit of space Tsura approached a Banya with deep red and gold plumage. "Hello there pretty one." she spoke softly not wanting to startle it.

The bird squawks at Tsura and ruffles her feathers. She looks at Ro with her piercing crimson eyes, and Ro gets that tightness in her chest again. She knows what to do this time, though. The bird has chosen Tsura. She grabs her pad again, and writes for Tsura. This one's chosen you. She's a she, and a fire breed. You do know what Banya do, correct?
The Banya hops onto Tsura's shoulder, settling there with a little purr.

" I um yes , I know they tell fortunes if cryptically, My uncle Ian was usually trying to figure out what his was saying." Tsura's eyes went from Rojiza and the pad to the Banya perched upon her right shoulder.
" Thanks" she murmured as she reached out to stroke her back. I don't know why you chose me, she thought, but thanks.
Directing her attention back at Rojiza she smiled " I should probably get her home and settled in. Can I come back and visit some time if I have questions?" At the moment her mind was blank for names and she'd have to choose one soon. That and Ink and Copper needed to get used to the concept of her traveling with them.

Rojiza nods. She hopes this woman would take good care of the fiery bird.

Menelie Rojiza nods and opens the door for her. Tamlin needs to leave. Ro needs to see Valelldia about this...what is going on? Tamlin nodded a brief goodbye to Ro and then, still holding the fire banya on her arm left through the opened door to return to her wagon and think about what had just happened.

Ki knocked on the side of the aviary wagon to let whoever inside know that she was there. Van Dien had come to her a moment before, telling her that she was needed at the bird house. Ki couldn't understand, but she wasn't one to avoid Val or any of the gypies in her 'family' once they expressed need of her company.
She sighed. Really though, the damn birds... they smelled and they were always spouting nonsense about what was going to happen next in life.... that was if anyone could understand the rats with wings. "Hello?" Ki called out to whoever was listening.

Ro is resting in the Aviary wagon for the moment. She'd been taking care of her own birds all morning, plus the newly-hatched eggs she'd found, plus the cranky Sea Loam the old man had given her. She jumps, startled, at the knock. Grabbing her pad and charcoal, she opens the door and smiles at Ki, one of Mama's old friends.
She tips her head, inviting her to explain what she needs.

Ki smiled at Ro. She was a good kid.... didn't say much, but was the same age as Van even if she was older looking and more 'together'. Ki nodded first and then spoke. "Vanny says you needed me for some reason... I don't know who did the calling, you or Val or whoever, but this is where I was sent." She shrugged almost helplessly.

[Don't mind the mule...doing some housekeeping. :3]
Ro smiles and nods at Ki. She quickly scribbles down her message:
I found some Banya eggs....and they hatched! And this one...this one calls to you.
She offers her writing to Ki.

As Ki read the writting on the pad she frowned so deeply that her forehead creased. She shook her head and took a step away. "I'm sorry Ro, I don't do the birds or the fortunes... I just... " She faltered remembering what Valelldia had told her once, that if she continued to turn away the fortunes presented to her and the animals that were 'sent' to her for such purposes then she would risk angering the maji... But Ki just shook her head again, even more stubbornly...
"I have no desire to know what's going to happen next, or who's going to eat what bad fruit and get what amount of stomachache... besides, Vanny's afraid of the birds, they're so noisy... I just don't think that I even have the ability to care for such an animal. It's also one of the reasons that Zak and I get along so well... or at least as well as we do, cause... you know... cause he doesn't do animals either..." She sighed heavily, realizing that she was rambling on and on. "You should send it to one of the other caravaners really, they'd treat it better... actually love it and all."
She frowned at the bird.

Ro frowns and nods. She understands. Not everyone can love these feathered creatures as she does. She takes the pad back and writes a new message:
Alright...that's fine. I'll figure out what to do with it. Send Van around sometime, I'd like to see him again.
She offers the pad back to Ki and smiles a bit.

Ki sighed again, only this time in relief. "Thank you Ro. I will try to send him around, but you know him... always hiding and staying in the dark. " She glanced around as if she expeted to see her son right near her... "He's always nearby, I just don't always know where."
She smiled at the squirrel girl. "I hope you do find it a good home... "

Rojiza nods and coos at the crooning bird on her shoulder. She smiles and waves at Ki by way of goodbye. Goodbyes were easier if she did them that way, rather than having to write them out.
