Lamen smirked beneath her mask. It appeared that with perseverence, her little partner could get through anything. She hoped it was the same for the ghost from her past...

This was turning out exactly like his last match with Dreydonna. The pokemon slobbered all over the other gastly's face, delighting in his nasty attack every bit of the way. Battles with her were always so fun! [400/800] [-50 DEF]

If Dreydonna had not been paralyzed, she would be cackling. For some reason or another, the licks didn't exactly hurt-- they more just sort of drained her health. Licked her energy away? Anyway, she was finding this very amusing. It would have been more amusing if she had been the one doing the licking, though...
"Hang in there!" Renekai said. But she knew it was useless... Dreydonna was almost completely knocked out, once again. Luck just wasn't on their side! They really did need a new battle tactic...

"LICK!" Renekai shouted, hoping that Dreydonna would be able to move.
Dreydonna, who had been struggling with all her strength to escape, suddenly found herself free. The moment before she became unparalyzed, however, she had been trying with all her might to fly upward. Now unexpectedly able to do so, she rocketed upward, just barely avoiding the finishing Lick from Donut. At the sound of the order, Dreydonna dropped upon Donut, tongue hanging out.
"Dreydonna probably won't be able to avoid another attack," Renekai thought to herself. "So, if this doesn't work, we're as good as finished..."

"Gass!" The attack enveloped Dreydonna with a dark area, which drained her health out. Donut watched his own attack and blinked, waiting to see whether his opponent would faint or not.

Dreydonna was, once more, drifting towards the ground, eyes closed.
"Nice job, Dreydonna," Renekai said, returning Dreydonna to her pokeball. Turning to Lamen, Renekai smiled. "One day we'll get you~" she said good naturedly.

"Good luck with that." Lamen smiled, teasing Renekai, and then added: "See you next time for a rematch?"
It wasn't about the victories, but having a willing opponent was great for training- and Donut obviously had enormous fun during these matches.
Was she glad he hadn't mixed with the field's gas this time. And she was eager to get out.
"Donut, good job. Time for the pokemon center, then."
"Gas gass!" The pokemon complained. But he felt perfectly fine!
"Yep, again." She answered, guessing what he meant, and he was pulled into the pokeball in a red flash.
