Well at least the professor wasn't angry with him and his flapping mouth. Though he couldn't deny that being so passionate about something was quite... exhilarating. He wanted to be the best and for someone to be proud of him and his hard work.
"Uhhhh........" It took Sasha a moment to snap his slack mouth shut and look down at his notes. Which were mainly doodlings and a few words he really didn't know how to pronounce. What was it with ancient history and crap and all these crazily long words. Really? Was it really needed people? "To uhmm understand the history, dev-el-opment and tech-nicks... niques of magic and uhmm... the the-ories presented in........" Who picked all these friggin' hard words?!?! "con-temp-oooraaary? literature and entertainment.... Yeah..." Wow. That was painful. He looked back down at his work and tried his best to hide it from Shinji's line of sight unless he be sorely disappointed with him no doubt.

Shinji listened calmly at the boy's struggle to pronounce English words. He couldn't help but to make a comment afterwards, even though it might hurt the boy's feelings. "Perhaps you should learn English first before learning magic." It wasn't a problem for himself, as the minor races learn language far more quickly than humans. The magic spells, to the master, was far difficult than English, which he would speak fluently in a matter of weeks. But on another thought, perhaps Sasha had more talent in learning spells than language.
"I mean...English is not needed for magic, but it certainly helps as most of the student body and faculty speak the language."

"Y-Yeah... I know..." Sasha mumbled regretfully. He always thought his English was pretty good considering he hadn't been studying it long, only a few years. "My bother used to make me study it like every day, but I've... kinda been avoiding it since my... uhmm brother left... so I'm really behind..." Did this school even teach English here? It would be kind of hard what with the learning style. Unless they had audio snippits. Ugh what a pain. But so was life. And magic was going to be a pain too once he got in so he needed to stop being a lazy butt!
He looked up at Shinji and nodded resolutely. "I'll work on it..."

"You'll learn fast with all the English-speaking people around you." Shinji nodded, pleased with the boy's determination. Standing up, the master of magic strolled around the room, looking at all the posters absent-minded. Where did the humans get their hands on so much information? Must have been Dante and Irame, who willingly donated their knowledge. Shinji himself never truely trusted the humans, but children...they were always the same.
"Is there anything else you wish to know?" The master asked, keeping his eyes on the posters.

"Mmmm..." He looked down at his notes and shook his head. "No... I think I'm all done with question..." He laughed sheepishly, a little embarrassed for literally assaulting Shinji with all his childish musings. "I'm just gonna... read over some things and then... yeah..." Sasha followed the professor's move to the wall with quiet grey-brown eyes. "Thank you for ehmm putting up with me..."
