He frowned, dark but friendly eyes examining the female as his mind mused over the current situation. Recently, it seemed, he only ran into sad lions and other animals, at least as far as the female ones went. So distracted by their own worries that they couldn’t hold together a light conversation for very long. It was… disheartening, for him, to see so many suffering while he remained perfectly content in his standing and situation. If there was something he could do to make them feel better, he would gladly jump at the call to action. Nothing would please him more than a chance to help them feel better about themselves. But, hard though he tried, never were his tactics enough to make someone else feel better upon their parting.
There was one female, a lioness he had met a while back, that seemed at least a little changed from their encounter, but he didn’t know if what he had offered her that day would do this fair creature any good.
It didn’t seem the same kind of situation.
He smiled nonetheless when she joked about a nickname, imagining something along the lines of ‘tubby’ or ‘nitwit’ might soon be related to his frame. It would be fine if a name of that vain did grace him, so long it was from her and no one else.
Humming thoughtfully for a moment, Mito could but not. Being late was better than not showing up at all. Anyway, he had found these past couple of weeks, mostly thanks to Laika and Refu, he had been moving around more than ever. Perhaps to end his lazy ways? No, it wasn’t time yet, the surge of late nothing more than a passing breeze of chance and circumstance.
It was just more fun to think that there was a deeper motivation behind fate and its actions.
At her next question, Mito smiled. “Because it’s easy,” he replied, “I think, if you have the kind of body and face that you do, it doesn’t matter where or what you came from. You could be half elephant for all I care- beauty is beauty regardless of origin. At least, that’s how I was brought up to think. I know it’s not the norm, really, but I’m very happy with the lessons my parents gave me.”

Limbua paused to look at him, at a loss for words. A first aside from her father, not even her cheetah love interest of her past, shared such affection in their words. She flushed deeply as she stared at him. How could he say something like that? Well, granted he can just say the darn thing, but what would push him to do so?
However, she laughed.
"Half elephant? Come now, Bubby, you really don't think I am a spawn of such a pairing, do you?" It was then that her eyes just seemed to glow softly in the moonlight. Shortly after, her ear twitched as she winced when a soft pain hit her sharply to her temple. She knew what it was but smiled regardless.
Prying into another's mind was a bad habit, but one cannot help if it is done involuntarily. It just comes out!
Limbua sighed softly and licked his cheek softly. "I really appreciate this all, not many are there for me nowadays."

“Bubby?” he chuckled. Compared to some of the names she might have picked from, this one was too bad. At least she hadn’t chosen something that were slight him each time he heard it slip from between her pretty fangs. Smiling, he continued, “of course I don’t! I was merely saying that it wouldn’t matter if you were of such a strange concoction. Noting the wince, Mito let his smile fall away, a frown easily taking over where it had once danced. Concern melted into his expression, eyes studying her.
“Is something the matter?” he asked, oblivious to her powers. This was the first demi-God he had ever had the pleasure of encountering, of course.
He shifted his weight, getting a bit closer. Maybe a short proximity between them might make he be honest, should she decide to lie about something bothering her. Then again, she didn’t seem like the type to fib and he really didn’t think that she was going to change now. Perhaps he had simply wanted to get closer.
Ears heating, he smiled once more, awkwardly, and looked at the floor. He had never been licked before. Not in this manner, anyway. Such a genuine show of gratitude rather than those fleeting moments of passion. “Well, if you’d like, you can seek me out whenever you need to. I would very much like you to think of me if you ever feel blue or lonely. I’ll be there for you, if you want me to be.” He wasn’t sure what he was getting himself into, but she seemed to need someone. Why not offer his friendship and, perhaps as they grew to know each other better, something more?

"Being god-born, we are somewhat different from others. Gifted, I guess you could say. Others would think us anathema," she replied, placing her paw back down, lacing them delicately before her. She never really had to explain her abilities other than to her family just so they knew. She hardly had them this much since he was around... "I'm a seer, I see things others cannot. Past. Present. Future. We're all different and they happen differently for each of us. Mine just hurts my head a little, but it is nothing to worry about. I assure you."
She smiled at his offer and nodded. "That would be wonderful," Limbua chuckled at the reaction he gave to her lick, he was fortunate it was one of gratitude and not an onslaught of affection. However, if she did that, she might scare him off and that was the last thing she wanted to do; lose her company. The hybrid was a little saddened to think that she may not be by his side for a while, but she did know that she can seek him out if the desire of company was needed. "I will seek you out, it shouldn't be too hard if I can see where you are all the time. Visions and all."
She herself inched a little closer nervously. How would they actually depart ways here?

Mito smiled. He had heard about seers from others he had passed, though had never met one. Of course, this wasn’t actually the case but because he had never been told of the abilities of the one he had spoken to he had no idea that he had actually already met one. Intrigued, he pondered what it might mean speaking to a seer. Does that mean she could see whatever she wanted? Or only what came to her? He found it all very interesting, but something he was glad he had managed to avoid.
Being a seer probably would have only been an annoyance to someone like him. Someone who didn’t plan an hour ahead, much less think about what tomorrow held for him. Lazy, but whimsical and carefree, Mito was more of a ‘no day but today’ kind of lion.
“Well, I’m glad. And being a seer must be complicated,” mused the male, “but I suppose if you’ve lived with it all your life… it wouldn’t be so bad.” Laughing, he couldn’t help but wonder if having someone watching him all the time wouldn’t be a little bit creepy. Even if it was Limbua. The only solace he took came in the notion that she would not actually be so keen to keep an eye on him, if she could actually do it at all. This was a new friend who probably didn’t want to send him packing, right?
No need to think anything odd would beset him.
After a short pause to simply watch her, Mito heaved a sigh. There didn’t seem to be much else to do now but allow their company to part. “Well… I suppose I should be heading back to my den,” he off-handily commented through no real want to leave, “maybe we’ll see each other again soon.” He got to his paws at that, aware that belaboring the leave would only kill the preciousness of the time they had spent together. He wanted their next meeting to be a happy one, and intended to leave on a good note. “It was a pleasure meeting you, Limbua.”

"Being a seer is odd. I can't just say, "Hey! Let me know where Mito is!" and I see where you are and stuff. Doesn't work like that, at least for me. They just happen whenever they want and what they show me is random. Sometimes it is stuff that has already happened. But, I got it from my Dad, so I will cherish it... no matter how much it hurts my head," The female laughed at her comment but the rest of was very true. She wished she was able to control her abilities to the extent of being able to do it on command and about whatever she wanted. If she was able to, she wanted to find this male whom she was going to spend her life with and find out where he was.
With Mito here, it feels like she doesn't have to. Maybe he isn't the one who will spend the rest of her life with, but it was nice to know that he is there for her.
The seer watched the male raised to his feet stating that he was heading back to his den. She simply smiled and nodded, raising to her own paws. "Yes, of course, I suppose you should get some rest if not something else," She replied. "I do hope our paths meet again, who knows, maybe it'll be the next sunrise," The leopon dipped her head, "Good-bye, Mito. Same."
With her last words, she parted ways and headed in the same direction she was already going. However, she was going to try to stay in a few moments from this spot.
Just in case she wanted to find him again.
