Im'ma test 'em out and see if I finally hit with Confuse Ray. ))
Saspra sighed a waste of a turn. "Confuse Ray again!" She had to keep it going until it finally hit. If it ever did.
Shadow rolled his eyes. Again with the confuse ray. This was starting to annoy him. Opening his mouth he let out a glowing white blob towards Midnight sloppily not caring if it hit or not.

((Oh noes! It hit! D| )) Midnight, still locked in her howling stance, didn't notice the glowing orb until it was too late. She reeled and stumbled around as the orb hit her, engulfing her in illusions. Now she saw not one, but at least seven, wavering Shadows.Lisa panicked. This time, the confuse ray had hit, and she didn't know what to do. "Uh... Midnight! Bite!" She cried in desperation. Midnight heard the command of her trainer, picked a target, and charged at it, set to bite one of the Shadows. But was it the real one?

Oh! BTW, Midnight has 750 HP. ))
Shadow watched as Midnight tried to bite herself, but failed. That was an interesting turn of events. Perhaps Saspra wasn't being stupid by making him use that attack again.
Saspra silently thanked the heavens for letting the confuse ray hit. That would buy them some time to make a counterattack. "Shadow, use Bite!" She ordered.
Shadow jumped towards Midnight and tried to bite her tail.

(( But Sas used Growl before hand, so Howl should have only negated the Growl's effect. But, yes, the attack did hit. o 3o )) Lisa momentarily smiled a bit as her houndour's attack hit, but frowned when her opponent returned the favor. "Midnight! Use bite again! You can do it!" Lisa called out, seeming a little more confident now. Midnight yelped as a sharp pain shot up her back from her stubby Houndour tail. That dumb Vulpix bit me! She thought to herself. Oh, once those flashing lights and multiple Vulpixes stopped, she was going to make that Vulpix pay. Sooner, if the next bite attack her trainer commanded hit.

Saspra groaned inwardly as the bite hit. Things weren't going so well for her and Shadow at the moment, but hopefully they could turn things around before it was too late. "Come on Shadow, use Bite one more time!"
Shadow snarled and bounced away as Midnight bit him. He shook his head a bit then pounced at Midnight again. He was going to hit no matter what.

[[What brain? 8D *shot*]] Lisa winced as Shadow bit Midnight yet again. Why did battling have to look so easy in the text books, yet so hard in reality? "Come on, Midnight! Show that Vulpix that you can really bite back!" she called out. Oh, Midnight was more than happy to show this Shadow that she could bite back. Her head was still feeling quite odd, but it almost seemed like it would wear off soon. She just hoped to get another attack in before then, the more the merrier, after all.

Saspra was happy that that most recent attack missed its mark, the confusion really hadn't taken effect until the end. "Use bite again, Shadow!"
Shadow jumped out of the way as Midnight tried to bite him then watched as she bit herself. Timing out his attack he pounced at Midnight and tried to bite her leg.

"Come on!" Lisa rooted her Pokemon on. "Use Bite again! Don't let that Vulpix get to you!" Lisa was a lot more relaxed now that Midnight was no longer confused.
Midnight growled viciously as the Vulpix bit her tail again, even though it seemed he was going for her leg. She was fully aware now, and lunged at the Vulpix's thighs, teeth bared with vicious intent.

Shadow sidestepped as the vulpix aimed for his thigh and hopped a few feet away.
Saspra was glad that even though the confusion had supposedly end, traces of it still remained. More or less. "Shadow, use bite again!" It looked like this battle would be the battle of the teeth if nothing else.
Shadow jumped around for a bit looking for an opening before pouncing at the other vulpix and biting her.

Midnight was starting to wobble a bit. She was weak, but she wasn't going to give up yet. She launched yet another attack at Shadow.
[[ Also, Midnight is a houndour, not a vulpix. xD ]]

Shadow yelped in pain as Midnight's teeth met his left leg. He quickly shook her off and hopped backwards. He panted and glared at the Houndour. This battle was starting to tire him physically. He knew that Saspra would probably want him to use bite again so he ran towards Midnight without waiting for her trainer's command.
