Zinnia continued along until she came upon a lake. Surely this was the water part of the fizzing sound she had heard earlier, but where was the one who caused the fizzing? She looked around, squinting to improve her vision. Her eyes were used to the moonlight, though they were hardly as good as Itomaru's. She spotted some movement, and asked Itomaru, "Do you see that? She wanted to be sure that it wasn't her imagination. She was already walking toward the moving figures, not wanting to lose them.

Itomaru looked at the lake with curiosity, he hadn't known there was one over here. He looked around with Zinnia before setting his eyes on two moving forms far away. They were too far away for him to identify them, but he could tell that they were namrah, probably in their teens. "Yeah, I see that." He said as he focused on them and walked with Zinnia.
Yuri smiled back at Latte as she began to walk with him around the lake. She nodded as she looked out over it's surface. "It's really huge."

Latte pricked his ears up, listening. He heard a brief murmur of words from behind him, and whispered to Yuri. "I hear someone coming. We're going to have to run," he said.

Zinnia's ears twitched at the voice. She had definitely heard it before. She couldn't make out what he had said, but one thing was certain. She was going to figure out who it was!

Itomaru began to quicken his pace slightly as they began to get closer to the two. He could almost tell who they were, but not quite.
Yuri nodded and she glanced back. She was shocked to see her parents behind them, and she knew they had to go quick. She began to run as fast as she could towards the more covered part of the trees, trying to get to a place where they could not be reached.

Latte ran too, hoping to get out of their sight before they were caught. It wasn't fair, coming this far and being found anyways. He charged past the ancient trees, with Yuri by his side.

Zinnia took off as they began to run, charging as fast as she could. The space between them grew less as she ran. It may have been the fact that her legs were longer than theirs, or the fact that as a teen and young adult she had to run all over the place after a young Eyulf, but she was definitely running faster than they were. Still, she hoped that she could catch up before they ran to someplace too small for her to enter.
(Zinnia's always been a fast runner. xd )

Itomaru tried to keep up with Zinnia, following after the pair in front of them as they ran. He couldn't keep up, and quickly began to fall behind her. However, he could now tell who they were. "It's her! It's her!" He yelled up to Zinnia.
Yuri ran with Latte as fast as their legs would let them. "It's them, it's them. They want to take me back." She huffed out to him as they ran. Her eyes grew wide as she heard Zinnia's footsteps growing louder, and as she heard her dad call out. "Hurry!" she said to Latte as she began to run between the trees, trying to find a small place to crawl into.
(Itomaru isn't... xD)

"Uh-oh," he panted as his eyes searched for a small place. "Quick, in here," he said as he located a hole in the ground. He squeezed himself in after Yuri. It was a tight fit, but there was enough room to move around for the teens. "We can get out over there," he said, pointing at another hole above them.

Zinnia's heart leapt when Itomaru announced that it was, in fact, her daughter and her daughter's friend she was chasing after. Yet she also felt sad to think that Yuri felt strong enough to run away. Slightly proud of her determination, yet sad at what she was willing to give up. She picked up her pace, hoping to find an opportunity to stop them. If it required pouncing on Yuri to stop her than so be it. Still, what could she say that would shake Yuri's resolve? Her heart sank slightly when they disappeared beneath a hole. How would she get them now?
Then, she heard a meowing sound. It was Shade, her black cat familiar! Wondering how he managed to get out here so quickly, Zinnia watched as Shade darted down the hole after the teens. Scanning the surroundings, she waited for them to resurface.
(Sorry, couldn't think of any other way to catch them down a tiny hole. xd )

Itomaru looked around as he caught up with Zinnia. "Where did they go?" He frantically asked, before glancing down to see Shade dart into a hole. "Are they down there?"
Yuri dived into the hole quickly and moved further into it so that Latte could fit in as well. She looked up at the hole down the tunnel, and began to walk towards it. She looked back to where they had come and her ears drooped as she saw Shade behind them. "We're caught..." she mumbled.

"We can't give up now. We've gotten this far." He looked around frantically for another escape route, for he was sure that her parents were up there, waiting. Frustrated, he let loose a large flame that shot past Shade and into the open.
(Shall I send Milli out when the confrontation begins?)

"Yeah, they're down there alright. Whoa!" Zinnia backed away as she felt the heat, making sure that it wouldn't hurt her. She was getting really irritated with him. So much for the 'nice individual who befriended Yuri', if this keeps up Zinnia herself might disapprove of this friendship. Shade hissed at the flame shot past, running past the two namrah to block their passage. His back was arched, his claws were extended, and he was ready for a fight if needed.
(Yeah.)

Itomaru glared at the hole as he too backed off, staying away from the heat. It infuriated him again, making him remember the confrontation with his father. "I told you! I told you no good would come from that family. None." He looked back at the hole, feeling where the heat was escaping through it to find the other entrance. "We've got you surrounded. Come out without a fight and nobody gets hurt." He yelled into the hole.
Yuri looked at the flame with wide eyes, frightened. She hadn't ever seen Latte this angry before, and it truly was scaring her. She looked back at Shade, now in front of them and baring his claws, and her ears drooped. She felt ashamed for her mothers familiar to be bearing its fangs at her as if she were a criminal, it made her feel like she was lower than dirt. She didn't want a fight, it was useless at this point anyways. They were cornered, and she would defiantly never be allowed to even see him again after that display.
