Sadie nodded and followed him over the threshold, stepping carefully in response to his warning, and into the darkness that awaited them. It didn't take her eyes long to adjust to the lack of light and his lighter coat helped her to know where they were going and helped her to keep track of him. The floor wasn't all that slippery but still she kept her steps causious just in case.

Myrrh stepped further in as Sadie joined him in the caves, it was all upwards from there. Keeping a careful eye on the ground as the rains had surely weathered some of the rocks from when he remembered, though he highly doubted it would be worn smooth this quickly. Hooves ringing against the rocky flooring he started to walk deeper into the caves where barely any light light up anything. As he went and the light faded behind, small lights started to flicker along the walls like small twinkling stars. On closer inspection, one would see small crystal like fragments, almost like quartz in the walls. Some glowing from the faded light from the entrance of the cave. Other glowing from strange inner lighting.

"Don't mind the small glitters on the walls. They seem to be crystals that gather light or something. I've never really paid much mind to them. Though when I first came here..." He paused stopping and turning his head toward the wall, the small crystal's light playing off his earthy toned coat. "Lets just say I met the falls and made a splash." He chuckled looked back toward Sadie, watching the light dance off even her own copper coat. Much like the sunlight from when they first met.

Moving on once more, Myrrh kept his mouth closed as he passed into another chamber this one bearing a hole in the side where the sunlight could stream through. This one was filled with many small crystals much like the ones in the tunnel walls. All glittered and gleamed like small dew drops on the leaves of early morning. If one were to stand in the middle and turn around, it would seem like they were standing within a rainbow. Here Myrrh stopped and looked around, for there were also three openings all leading in different locations. One higher up, one deeper into the mountains and the other deeper under the mountains. This was besides the opening they had come through. Here he would let her chose which they would go through...

Sadie stepped lightly as they headed up into the cave. Her steps rang throughout the cave with each step she took. Her eyes started adjusting to the dim light and she was able to pick out the crystals in the walls that he had commented on. She walked right over to the wall to get a closer look. They were small and deeply embedded into the wall but they were like nothing she had ever seen before and were very beautiful even if they were small. She was very curious as to where they got thier light from but she didn't think too much into it.

"They are very beautiful, even if they are just small glitters on the walls." she said turning to him. "I have never seen anything like them before as my cave did not have them." she finished and began walking again, coming right up next to him.

She wasn't paying much attention as they walked into the next chamber and all the crystals here caught her attention immediately. She hadn't noticed him stop to look around and so she bumped right into him. All of the colors and crystals were amazing and somewhat made her head spin a bit. "I'm sorry for running into. It seems I was dazzeled by all the pretty crystals that I wasn't paying attention to anything else." she said with an embarassed chuckle. She really did need to pay attention to what she was doing.

Myrrh himself had lost himself in thought as his eyes looked around the chamber at all the crystals that sparkled brilliantly. Blinking, he stepped forward a bit as Sadie had bumped into him. Tail flicking a little behind him and brushing against her, he looked back as she flushed in embarrassment. He could feel his own face becoming warm with his own embarrassment, before he shook his head to clear away the tingling in his cheeks.

"Should have warned you about that first step." He chuckled nervously stepping off to one side and turning toward her, though his eyes watched the walls as if he were searching for something. "So you've never seen anything like these?" He asked as she stepped back and closer to a tunnel that lead deeper down into the mountains. "I'm not sure where this one goes, but it goes downwards."

He changed the subject a little as he turned away from Sadie to collect himself. He wasn't sure what was going on with him. She was his friend, just a friend right? He was starting to think that maybe it was going further then that, but he wasn't sure how she felt toward him. They were just friends after all. Friends going exploring the caves under his parent's home, nothing more.

Alright Myrrh, get a hold of yourself. That kiss last night was just an accident. You are just friends... he thought to himself, though could feel himself trembling just a little though he held himself together. Now get the show on the road, before she thinks your up to something. Shaking his head, Myrrh looked back toward Sadie, watching her.

Sadie turned towards the tunnel she had stepped closer too. It did seem to go downwards and her home had been down at the bottom of the moutain. Could it possibly lead to there? She had no idea and as he had said, neither did he. She turned back towards him and noticed the slightly pink in his own cheeks in the light of the crystals and a rather confused look on his face. She wasn't sure what had caused this but she wasn't going to ask.

"It's ok that you did not warn me. I probably would have still been dazzled even if you did." she replied with a bit of a smile and she dipped her head. "I really have never seen anything like these. Like I said, these were definately not in any of the caves where I lived. These are amazing!" she exclaimed still a bit in awe at thier beauty.

Sadie flicked her tail and turned back to the tunnel that lead down again. She was rather curious to see if it did lead to her home. But she knew better than to let her curiosity get the better of her. Taylor had proven to her over and over again why curiosity was a dangerous thing. "You don't know where this one leads? I would like to see if maybe it is one that leads to my home but if neither of us know where it goes, it might not be such a good idea. Who knows what is lurking down there." she said absently as she looked down into the dark of the tunnel.

He merely nodded looking around the room, at the small crystals that glittered from their small pits in the walls. Some were sticking out but a little to give off more light as the sun hit them. Looking back toward Sadie before looking down into the darkness of the tunnel that lead downwards. He had to agree that perhaps there was something down there, but there was really only one way to really find out. Stepping toward the tunnel he glanced back over his shoulder.

"Well only one way to find out, on ward and downward." He said in an amused tone before stepping into the tunnel and slipping a little.

Slipping down to a small ledge in the darkness, well... Maybe it wasn't suck a good idea, the crystals from the main chamber gave light to those along the tunnel walls making it easy for him to see... But not very far. Stretching out his neck, a small stone was knocked off the ledge as a hoof shifted and clattered down to whatever laid beneath him. Ok... Perhaps down wasn't exactly the best way to go after all. Shaking his head Myrrh looked away from the straight down and around the ledge where he stood, there was a gradual trail that lead down the side of the ledge it looked safe enough.

"Perhaps you might be right." he called back, though didn't exactly move from where he stood. "This way isn't exactly the safest. From the opening is a small ledge, one wrong move and you'd fall into who knows what below." Turning he painstakingly returned back to the main chamber and shook the shivers out of his body. "Maybe the one that leads straight into the mountain will have a safer path downwards then a single, narrow path with ledge on one side."

There was some fear in even his own voice, he wasn't exactly sure if it was his own fear, or fear that perhaps that she would get hurt. Oh he would never be able to, no, no he wouldn't think about it. He would take a different path, the downward on would have to wait a for a different time when he was alone... Or my might never go down that one, he wasn't sure, though did know that he would do something to warn all not to enter it...

Sadie gasped and held her breath as she heard him slide down in the dark tunnel. She hoped he had not hurt himself and was reassured when he called back to her and sounded as if he was just fine if not a bit fearful. She stood there and waited for him to carefully make his way back into the main part of the cave where it was safe and more lit up. "Just be careful and take your time coming back out then. We can go the other path into the moutain." she called back once she remembered to breath.

She wasn't sure why she had gotten so frightened for him when he slipped and it confused her a bit. And she wasn't sure why she was so glad that he hadn't been hurt. They were friends so she guessed that was why and tried not to think too hard on it.

She looked about the cave again and looked for a crystal or two that was laying on the ground. She found a rather large one not too far away and picked it up, managing to somehow wedge it in snuggly between her collar and her neck. Maybe it would help to light thier way in the other tunnel and she also wondered if maybe she could find someone to make it into a necklace or something for her after this whole adventure was over.

Returning to the main chamber, he looked down into the darkness as best he could without having to strain his eyes, Myrrh gave a shiver and shook his head some. Now he was sure he wouldn't be going down that one again. looking back toward Sadie he was still a little shaken before noticing that she had wedged a crystal into her collar. Though it looked a little silly there against her neck, shining against her creamy coat and held with the purple collar he hadn't really taken that much notice of. Coming back to the present, Myrrh looked at another entrance into the mountain, he had to nod to himself.

"Later on I should put something in front of that opening so others don't go down into it." Tilting his head a little, he looked back at Sadie. "You know, that Crystal really makes your coat glow, right?" Smiling a bit he stepped over to the middle tunnel. "This one looks safer, but who knows what lies within." Looking back, he stood there waiting, fir what he really didn't know. The tunnel entrance looked like it was big enough for them to walk side by side and still have room to spare. Myrrh had a feeling that further in the tunnel would narrow forcing to walk one behind the other. But who knew what awaited inside, and he was itching to find out, among other things.

She blushed as he commented on the crystal she had stuck into her collar. She looked down and realized that is really did make her coat glow. She hadn't thought too much about that, she just wanted to take one of the pretty crystals back home with her when they were done with their adventure. "T-thanks..." she said stuttering a bit and then she coughed and tried to regain her composure.

"I think that would probably be a good idea to make a marking to warn others. You don't want someone wondering around in here getting hurt." she commented and went up to the entrance of the middle tunnel. She peered into the darkness and waited for him to make the first step into the tunnel. "There is only one way to find out what lies within."

Raising his head some, a small smile showering before turning and heading into the tunnel entrance. The start was dark as the light retreated from the walls leaving everything in darkness. He listened to the sounds of his own hooves as they clattered off the rock flooring. Golden eyes looking from side to side trying to keep within the center of the hall. The only light was dim, coming from the crystal that was wedged in Sadie's collar. Stopping a moment he looked back to make sure that she was still behind him, soon walking again, listening to the sounds of the cave around him while squinting ahead.

"This place is darker then it looked." He stated quite obviously, though there was dim lighting for Sadie it seemed.

Turning a corner, a murky blue green light shown past jagged like rocks out into the hall. But there wasn't any hole in the walls nor in the ceiling. Stopping, he moved to the side a little to give Sadie room to peer in. The room looked empty, but for a luminous pool in the center, a darkish blue at the center to a green around the fringes. Strange indeed it seemed. The small waves from the pool made the water reflect off the walls and ceiling.

She had followed slightly behind him in silence as he lead the way through the tunnel. It was really dark and she was glad she had wedged the crystal into her collar for it was the only light they had in the darkness. She didn't feel so silly about having it now.

"It is dark but atleast we have the crystal. It is a good thing I took it with me." she replied as they walked.

She then noticed that he had stopped and moved to one side. There was a weird blue-green glow coming from ahead of them and it made her curious. She moved up next to him as he moved over to give her room. When she saw the luminous pool at the center of the cave ahead of them she couldn't help but stop in awe. It was simply amazing. She had never seen anything like it before and it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.

"Wow!" she whispered as she continued to stare at the pool.

Myrrh glanced around the luminescent water in the cave from where he stood as Sadie came up beside him to look as well. He hadn't seen anything like it himself and it was a strange sight. He wondered how the water became like that, then again there were many things that could have happened. None that he wanted to think about, but had the idea of wanting to dive into said water and find out what was down there. Even if he wouldn't get very far aw the water seemed shallow.

"You can say that again." He said barely hearing Sadie's whisper, but got the feeling of what was being said. "One would have to wonder why it is glowing like that. If there is some sort of crystal under the surface, or something else." He looked back to Sadie to see what she had to say.

Stepping forward a little he slipped into the room and looked around. The walls were bare of anything luminescent, and really looked only like stone walls where the water reflected. The ground was almost like sand under his hooves as he stepped further into the room, gold eyes looking back over his shoulder toward Sadie from where he stood.

She watched him intently as he stepped into the room. She too looked about wondering what it was that was making the water glow. There really wasn't anything around and no opening in the cave ceiling for there to be any light. It was glowing from something under the surface. Its beauty was also a bit frightening to her since it was so unknown.

"Be careful, you don't know what could be lurking just under the surface." she warned as he continued into the cave. She was nervous for him and worried but didn't know exactly why she was.

She hesitantly took a step into the cave, not wanting to be left standing at the entrance alone and her curiosity was starting to bug her. She too felt the sandy ground under her hooves and this too was different than was usually found in a cave.

Myrrh looked back toward Sadie as she started into the cave behind him. He gave her a smile as he stepped around the pool looking toward the edge, wanting a closer look. When he lowered his head to the surface, it didn't look much different then any other water, besides the strange glow in the center. Lifting his head something fluttered up off the surface.

"Now what the heck is that?" He muttered backing away toward Sadie as the strange object fluttered about the water's surface. "This place has many secrets it seems."

The small object seemed to flutter about and glow as it left the pool surface and head down the hall across from were they stood. Myrrh looked at Sadie for a moment before heading to follow the strange glowing thing that almost seemed to want them to follow as it hovered just inside the hall... Perhaps it wasn't waiting, but who knew and he was goiong to see where it would lead to.

"Lets see where it goes, couldn't really hurt anthing... Right?" he looked back toward Sadie before looking back toward the empty hall entrance.

She held her breath as the glowing object came away from the pool at his inspection of it. She was getting a little nervous and fearful of this place but her curiosity was also beginning to get even stronger. The object really did seem as if it wanted them to follow it as it really was waiting just inside the hall for them.

She didn't think something so pretty would be that harmful though she knew there were Kalona out there that used that to their advantage. But still...it wouldn't hurt anything if they just looked right? "I don't really think something so small could really hurt us. And with its glow we would be able to see whats in the hall and what could potentially be coming at us if there was danger." she said suggestively. It almost seemed to her that it could be a firefly or maybe even some kind of fairy or pixey.
