"I see," he said, nodding. He chewed on his paw in thought and after a while said, "What kind of places have you and your friends seen during your travels?" he asked her what he didn't ask Lunar yet.

Forte watched him and giggled a little. "Hm... well I come from the north, and Thanatos is from the south. We both spent time in both areas, Haru's always been a wanderer... Then we've just been explorer here in the east. We haven't really run into any human area's yet. But its mostly been forestry, and some hills."

"Well there are lots of human shrines here, but the humans don't bother us." he told her. "Did you and your friends ever see Bale or Ambrosh?" he asked curiously. "And what was the north like? I heard it was a rough place." He'd never traveled much before and was intrested in what she knew.

Forte Shook her head. "No, I can't say anyone us have... Well, I think Thanatos might be more likely to have seen one of them then I was. Haru and I are both neutral in the matter." She thought about it. It never crossed her might to ask Thanatos about if he had seen either of them. He did seem like the kind that might have been approached. "Ah the North, it is pretty rough. It's always freezing and snowing. But... I lived in one of the old ruin buildings, and survived rather well. I spent alot of time in the south with Thanatos. "

"Buildings?" he asked curiously, "What was it like in one? Were there any humans there?" his curiousity was making him forget that she was still close to him. He'd seen buildings before of course, but he'd never been inside one. And the only kinds he ever saw were the ones that looked like they wouldn't survive in the North she described. Were there perhaps even more different types of buildings?

"I'm not really sure how to describe them..." She started off. They had mostly fall down, but they were thick and hard... So they kept wind and snow out. They were still cold." She tried to remember from back when she was a puppy about the buildings. "But no, the humans had left the area."

"Thick and hard?" he wondered. The villages around here had buildings that looked like they could fall with a well aimed blow. And she said that the buildings there had mostly fallen down? The North was more vicious than he thought. Even the humans had left the area! "Must've been rough, and you grew up there?" he looked awed.

She blinked at him and laughed. "Its really not as tough... Well I guess since I moved to the south alot, I was able to escape that really tough life... you know?" She shook ehr head some. It was a bit lonely, but not all that horrible. She giggled some and nuzzled into him. "Don't sweat it so much. If i didn't live there I might not be who I am today. you know?"

"Y-yea." he stuttered when she nuzzled into him. In the back of his mind, where his thoughts weren't jumbled by the small space between them, he realized that she was right and he didn't want her different. Even if he didn't even know her that well, now. He nuzzled back experimentally, still unsure if he was allowed to.

Forte giggled at him. She really liked talking to her new friend. "So you said there's a pack around here? How come you aren't with them?" She asked, stretching her body out and then sitting again. Her tail swished behind her.

His tail wagged unconsiously when she laughed. "Yes, that's right," he replied to her. "I used to be in their pack but then I turned into an alpha. My old pack already had an alpha so there was no need for me and I didn't want to be the one to take him down when the time came, so i decided it was best that I leave." he paused for a bit, cocking his head to the side thoughtfully. "I'm still looking for a good territory to make my own pack. Of course, it'll be somewhere in the Eastern Territory."

Forte looked at him and she smiled. "Oh yeah? that sounds wonderful. I'm sure you'll find a lovely mate to lead with you as well." She giggled a little before she strode over to the water's edge and she leaned down to get a drink of the water. "I wonder then... Where could we go to get a bit to eat?"

He blushed when she said that he would find a lovely mate and looked down, hoping she wouldn't notice. Luckily, she had left to get a drink and he managed to compose himself before speaking, "What would you like?" he asked her. "There's plenty around here, some rabbits and deer. Squirrel and birds in the woods and some fruits if you like those. Fish, too, sometimes."

"Hm..." Forte looked into the water trying to decide. "It's been a long tim since I got to choose what i wanted to eat. Haru and Thanatos will usually go off to hunt, and I get whatever they bring back..." She laughed at the idea. But she was glad haru was learning to hunt properly. "I'm up for a bit of fun... lets try for a deer?" She looked over toward him.

"Alright," he said. "But I hope you don't mind if I don't do so well. I've only hunted deer once since coming here." He remembered, the last deer he ate was with Great Prince and that was a bit before he left. He got up though, and went into the trees, leading her to a clearing. "The deer are usually around here," he told her, raising his head and taking a deep breath. "Let's look around."
