Finding of Altaria/Flygon/Absol/Dragonite
Ari stared at the yellow bunny that was across from her on its hind legs. A second... two seconds... three seconds...four-
"I can't stand it anymore!" she cried out, lunging at the bunny and tackling it in a flying cuddle. "You're sooooooo cuuuuuuute!"
"Pi-pichu..." it squeaked out pitifully. Ari relaxed her grip slightly but tightened it again when there was a rumbling sound. Her eyes widened as she crouched on the ground with the bunny in her grip tightly. Even the bunny was quiet, until the rumbling stopped. It had been so loud, and she could've sworn the place shook. "P..pi..."
"Gah, sorry!" Ari let go of the rabbit abruptly before standing with a frown. Something like that deserved investigation. Picking up her spear on her way out of the room, she used her meager amount of water and earth magic to close the cave behind her. "Sorry, bunny. But I'm not letting you get lost."
Then she made her way towards the entrance of the den, swiftly making her way up the spiral staircase that led up to the surface. Then Ari made use of her water magic again to open the entrance just a crack so she could slip through before closing it again.
"Whoa!" she yelped as she jerked herself out of the way of stepping on something on the ground. After recovering from her brief surprise, Ari crouched down and picked up the crescent-shaped egg. A Lunar egg. How odd. And if had been shaking down all the way in Ari's room, how did this egg escape from the danger?
Ari held the egg to her chest tightly as she made her way to where she could see a few stray boulders that had definitely not been there before. There was no way she was going all the way back into the den so she could put this egg in the nursery with the others.
Besides. That rumbling noise was probably more important.

Eclipse was well hidden in the underbrush, his entire body low and crouched, ready to spring. He kept himself perfectly still to avoid detection, as his fur doesn't give much camouflage. He was more suited to hunting at night, but his Clan needed him right now.
Rosemary was by Rowan's side, who was extremely ill. Zephyr and Oreo had already been hunting nonstop the day before in an effort to feed the clan, and they are now taking their rest.
Patient... Eclipse reminded himself as he brought one paw slowly forward again. he would like to hunt with earth magic as he normally does, but he's afraid of getting the dirt into the meat. Not at a time like this, when so many people are getting sick.
One more stalking step, and he could see the hindquarters of the deer. He kept still for a moment, and then began to coil, readying a pounce.
And then suddenly, the ground gave a lurch, knocking him down and scaring the herd of deer off. He didn't pay the deer any attention as they bound off, shakily getting to his feet as the rumbling settled. he looked over to the mountains and grimaced. A landslide. Then with a jolt, he realized it was near Aezhenn Chalm, right above where he remembered it to be in fact.
Forgetting the deer altogether, he bounded towards the landslide, going over the familiar terrain so fast it was like he was flying. The obstacle course was a long time ago, but all the training he did for it never truly wore off.
As he neared Aezhenn Chalm, he saw Ari come out of the exit. He barked to get her attention, and then skidded to a stop near her.
Is everyone alright? he asked with genuine concern.

After first recovering from the sudden sight of nothing, and then Eclipse appearing in front of her, Ari regained her voice and managed to say, "Yeah, we're fine."
She offered a smile before jabbing a thumb over her shoulder at her den. "We're right at the bottom, barely felt the shaking, and everybody's out anyways. What brings you here, though?"
After speaking, she adjusted her grip on her spear and on the Lunar egg so that neither of them would fall. Of course, she was more worried about the Lunar egg than anything since her spear was pretty durable. Eggs had a tendency to break.
"How 'bout you guys?" Ari asked. If even Edoc'sil had felt the rumblings, just how massive was this landslide? Of course, it could be nothing other than a landslide, short of an earthquake. "Everybody okay?"

Eclipse shook his head.
I'm fine, I was out hunting when I felt it shake. The rest of our clan should be alright, as Edoc'sil is situated on a different mountain.
He went over to the mound of rock and debris, pawing at it with his claws.
I'm afraid this might have happened because of all the earth we dug out for your Den. I thought we had stabilized the mound of excess rock and sand, but I guess it wasn't enough. He noted, then looked upwards, way up the mountain where the landslide probably originated.
Hmm, I'm going to go and check the origin of the landslide. If there's still a buildup from before, what's left can collapsed again and maybe travel down further. I'll go and see if I can secure the area better.

"I'll come with you," Ari offered immediately. This was the mountain that her clan lived on, and she had a habit of worrying about things. If she didn't see for herself that it was perfectly safe, well...
So what if she was next to useless? She knew a little bit of earth magic, and if anything happened to either of them, then the other could call or go fetch help.
"I'm, uh, not quite sure where it originated from," Ari admitted, shifting postures again. Keeping her arm with the Lunar egg in the same place for too long made it go numb. Who knew a kyn egg could be so heavy after a while? "Lead the way, if you will!"
She probably earned a weird look for that one. Ari couldn't quite figure out where that came from; she usually never said corny things like that. But in no time, after following Eclipse, using the safest path up to where the origins were, they came upon what they presumed to be the unstable spot.
"Wow, how're we gonna stabilize this?" Ari grimaced slightly at the sight of all the rocks, some jutting out ever so slightly. It looked pretty dangerous to her...

The going was slow and arduous. The rock was loose, a single wrong step could have sent them tumbling down to the bottom of the mountain. It took several hours of slow trekking, but Eclipse finally managed to locate the mound of Rock and sand from the creation of Aezhann's Den.
Eclipse told Ari to stay in place, and then walked over carefully to the leftover debris, tense and ready to spring away at a moment's notice. What's left doesn't seem on the verge of collapsing, but Eclipse isn't going to bet on that.
He sent his earth magic into the ground, solidifying the sand around the boulders, working until the entire thing was a solid piece of stone. It doesn't look any different, but the individual rocks are now held in place by the hardened sand, and shouldn't move unless hit by a great force.
Eclipse signalled to Ari that it was safe now, and he began inspecting the area, strengthening the sand where he needed to. He was magically exhausted by now, but pleased with his work.
He paused as he noticed something jutting out of an area of sand. He walked over, recognizing this place as where Zephyr dumped all of the earth he dug out, all as sand. There was only a few small rocks dotting the area. Digging carefully where he saw what looked like the shell of a Kyn egg jutted out, he grimaced as he uncovered what remained of a Kyns nest.
About half of them were obviously destroyed, but there was three that seemed as if they are still intact. One was an European egg, brownish and sandy, camouflaging well with its background. The other two however, were spheres like eastern eggs, but were half-red...
Eclipse barked to get Ari's attention, beckoning her to come check out the nest.

Raising an eyebrow curiously, Ari took tentative steps towards the Lunar. Even though Eclipse had said that the area was more or less stable, Ari was paranoid about these kinds of things. Being the only herbalist in Weslock, she always had to watch her own health because if she couldn't tell herbs apart from each other when she was sick, then who could?
It was a kind of self preservation that had become an ingrained habit.
"Are those eggs?" she gasped when she stopped by Eclipse's side and peered at the nest. Oh, no, had the rockslide done this to the nest? Whoever these eggs' mother was, they would be furious if they came back -if they were still alive-, and found Eclipse and Ari at her nest, with several destroyed eggs. Though it was just as possible that the nest had been abandoned when the landslide started.
But the surviving eggs...
Ari knew, from the egg that was still back at Aezhenn, that the round, spherical eggs were Eastern eggs, and the light brown one was most likely a European egg. They were the species whose eggs resembled chicken eggs the most, however unflattering the comparison may be.
She hesitated for a second before offering, "I can take one of them, I think. My clan has already several new arrivals, and I'm afraid if we take in too many more, we simply can't provide enough food for so many young."
Reaching out, Ari placed her free hand gently on one of the Eastern eggs and lifted it gingerly out of the nest. She cradled both it and the Lunar egg to her chest, taking care not to crush them.

Eclipse nodded, and carefully solidified an area of sand around the eggs, keeping some sand unaffected as padding around the eggs. He then created a handle carefully over the makeshift basket, and clamped his teeth firmly around it. It was kind of heavy, but the only way he could think of to move both eggs.
This is weird, these round eggs. He remarked, looking down at the egg that was half red in his basket.
Of what remains of the other eggs, it seems that this nest belonged to a pair of Europeans. Yet these two eggs seem eastern. Feral Kyns don't cross-breed as far as I know. He explained to her.
Of all the eggs we've ever found, and of all the first-generation Clan kyns we've met in other flights, no one has found crossbreed Kyns in the wild before. He shrugged as much as his wolf anatomy allowed him to, something he learned from Rowan.
I'll ponder it later, this thing is heavy. I'll head back to the Den then. He finally said, and began to walk away, moving carefully to make sure he keeps the eggs safe. He felt a twinge of guilt as he realized he isn't bringing home food. This would mean the Princess would have to go out hunting, and they might have to beg Ilia to try hunting once the sun has set.

Verita and Mikayl meets
Verita licked the hatchling, Cyclone, clean as she struggled to wiggle away from the Lunar. Verita just lazily brought one paw forward to pin the hatchling down and continued the grooming. Vera had arrived at the clan earlier this morning, and had volunteered to take care of Cyclone, who had hatched just as she introduced herself to the clan.
From everything Verita could see so far, this clan that had adopted her, Edoc'sil, was in times of trouble. Two members had been sent to answer the summons of Aedan. The rider was very sick. One lunar had disappeared and another Lunar went after her. The Princess refuses to leave her rider's side. The odd feline European can not hunt, as her eyes are too sensitive to the light outside, even that of that stars. That left only one of the Lunars of the clan, Eclipse, and herself, to sustain the entire family.
Cyclone finally managed to struggle free from under the Lunar's paw and Verita allowed the hatchling to get away.
"Fly! Flyyygon!" It screeched unhappily. She extended her wings, wet from the grooming, and flapped vigorously them to dry the leathery membrane.
Verita watched the little one curiously. She felt odd, unfamiliar protective feelings when she watched this little one. She could feel the little one's indignation in her mind, through their bond, bonds she hasn't shared with another creature for many many years.
It was also curious the way this little one communicates. She made all of the normal sounds a hatchling makes, but curiously enough, she keeps on yelling out the word "Flygon" and variations of it.
"Fly! Gon! Flygon!!" The little one cried, and ran around in circles, chasing its tail and flapping its wings wildly. Verita chuckled, this was a lively little fella.
Cyclone jumped into the air, flapping her wings hard and hovered there for a moment before she landed back down. Verita stared in surprise- this little one was less than a day old. To be able to stay in the air so long was a remarkable feat. Cyclone looked up at Verita expectantly, and flapped her wings hard again, and began to rise slightly.
Through their bond, Verita could feel the little one's unrest. She was filled to the brim with energy, energy that she didn't seem to know how to release.
Verita lowered her head, picked Cyclone up in her mouth, and trotted outside the room, heading toward the Grand Hollow as the little one squeaked in complaint. It'll do this little one good, to show her the world outside the den.
Vera felt relieved as she felt the wind on her face as she finally exited from the caves. The wide open spaces were where she had known her whole life, and it was that sharp string of winter that sent a thrill through her body. She had come for the company of others, as her instincts as a social animal demanded, but out here was where she knew the most, this was her environment.
She set the small struggling hatchling down on the ledge that jutted out from the mountain. Verita frowned as she examined the area closely. She didn't approve completely of the Kyn Clan changing nature like this, and the displays of magic unnerved her.
She watched the little hatchling with amusement as it flexed its wings as if preparing to take off into the sky and fly.
"Flygon!" The hatchling cried out happily.
The Lunar nearly yelped when Cyclone drove her wings down, and actually managed to get herself off into the air! The hatchling squawked as her awkward wings made her wobble in her flight, but she was flying. And up toward the mountains she went, following the wind that battled the mountain, being driven toward the heavens.
Verita sprang off the large stone ledge immediately, skidding as she turned around to race up the trail. She didn't expect this to happen, it shouldn't have happened. But it did. And the worst thing was, with Verita's intimate knowledge of the mountain, she could see and feel a fierce storm brewing in the upper reaches of the mountain. Winter storms in the area were harsh and unforgiving. If she does not find the newborn Kyn, then the little one will have no chance of survival.

Mikayl crouched down to the ground with his breath in quiet puffs as he kept a steady vibration on the doe chewing some shrubs. He was hidden underneath another bush, and it was difficult not to make any noise. Something this big could easily provide for two or three of the hatchlings alone.
He was not going to let this one go so easily. Then Mikayl cursed as his sharp hearing several twigs snapped and leaves crunched, scaring the doe away. He lurched out of the bushes in a desperate attempt to sense if the doe was within sprinting distance, but no luck.
Turning quickly, he bared a snarl at the stupid animal that had scared off his prey, and stopped short when he found that it was a kyn. A female Lunar by the size of it, who seemed to have only stopped to avoid crashing into him.
Your noisiness scared off my prey! Mikayl growled, bristling.
Normally, he wouldn't have been SO furious, but the knowledge that the only other kyn capable of hunting was either at Aedan's ranch, or also out hunting, leaving June to supervise the several hungry hatchlings was making him not think quite clearly.

Verita felt clumsy in the forested area, her feet used to the soft ground of snow and the hard surface of ice and rock. Not the confusion of plants and twigs and squishy mud, and thus she was far less graceful and efficient than she normally was.
She could smell a deer nearby, and could sense that it was slightly farther away from the rest of the herd. If Verita wasn't in her current predicament, she would have gladly taken on the hunt for such an obviously exposed prey, but she could not.
She sensed the deer bound away as she drew nearer, but she ignored that and focused all of her attention on the thin, weak wisp of connection she still had to the hatchling, crying out for it to come back. As the little one was finally too far away for Verita to reach, the lunar knew that the hatchling was scared and now unable to control her flight. And she had been going directly up the mountain, toward the coming storm.
Verita nearly tripped over herself as a male Lunar came into view before her. His colourings blended well with the mix of melting snow and dirt behind him, and Vera had not noticed him until the last moment.
She heard his angry words in her head, and Vera struggled many moments to interpret their exact meaning, although the kyn's intent was clear enough. Verita growled slightly in reply, and gathered her bearings again. She moved passed him, doing nothing more than impart to him an image of a young hatchling being blown away, and her sense of urgency.
She then bounded through the brush, towards the direction she had last been able to detect Cyclone, her eyes straining to catch a glimpse of the little one in the sky.

Mikayl was appalled when the female kyn didn't even talk to him, but sped past him throwing a backwards image into his mind. Who did she think she was?!
Then he paused, actually examining the image of the young hatchling being carried away by the wind. Wasn't that the newest member of Edoc'sil? He had remembered Ari saying something about how Eclipse had taken two of the eggs of the nest that the red and white egg had come from.
Mikayl took a few steps to turn himself around to where the female Lunar had run off. He hadn't realized Edoc'sil had taken in a new member. Maybe she and Coriolis knew each other or something, since they'd shown up about the same time.
Making up his mind, he put on a burst of speed to catch up with that female. She probably needed help getting that hatchling (and herself) back safely. And besides, he had a bone to pick with her anyways.
Where's the hatchling headed towards? Mikayl asked bluntly as he caught up with the other Lunar before setting his speed at a level that wouldn't exhaust him too fast. But, of course, that was nothing since he was normally so fast anyways, he thought smugly.

Vera sensed the other Male following her, and he caught up with her easily, as her paws still on unfamiliar terrain. She heard his voice in her head, and she growled in frustration as she struggled with the unfamiliar language. It seems like the Kyns who live in a clan depend more on words to express themselves, skipping over the true nature of such communication.
She finally managed to decipher the male Lunar's words, and sent back to him an image of the mountain ahead of them, accompanied with a feeling of the bond between her and the hatchling disappearing as the distance became too far, to signify that she could not be completely sure. She hoped that one who does not communicate in such a fashion will be able to understand her.
The forest started giving away to lower, scrubby plants. As the area widened out, Verita found herself more comfortable with the terrain, running amongst the loose rocks and snow easily and gracefully. She could only hope that if the male Lunar wanted to continue helping her look for the hatchling, he'll be able to navigate this area without hurting himself, because Vera was not planning to slow down or stop.
She wished that she had notified the flying member of Edoc'sil of what had happened. Rosemary would probably be more effective in this search.

Mikayl didn't stop, for fear of falling behind, but he did stay silent while he sorted through the jumble of images she sent him. Didn't the female Lunar know how to use words? Usually images were only used in cases that words couldn't express, and Mikayl was far unused to it.
In the end, he managed to decipher something between the hatchling getting further away, either heading somewhere higher or lower on the mountain. By the looks of it, they were heading up the mountain right now, so...
Furrowing his brows slightly as he concentrated, Mikayl brought up an image of the mountain's peak (or what he perceived the mountain peak to look like) and sent it through mentally, the action itself feeling incredibly odd. Then he dredged up the image of the hatchling that the Lunar female herself had given him and sent it back to her, to confirm that the hatchling was headed up.
Hah! Let nobody say he couldn't communicate with someone because of mere language problems.
'Mikayl,' he said simply, conjuring up an image of himself in his mind and sending that through mentally as well, as a way of introducing himself.

Verita shifted through Mikayl's mental image, and sent back an affirmative. Yes, the hatchling had been blown up the mountain, and Verita absently sent back through their mental communication the feeling of strong wind blowing up the mountain side.
And in the physical world about them, the wind was starting to pick up. Verita read the signs easily- this storm will be a big one, and she imparted that thought to the male lunar.
Verita recieved an image of the male lunar, or what he believed he looked like (self-image is usually different from what you really look like) along with the name Mikayl. She understood well enough, and sent back a single word, one she struggled to form in her mind.
Verita she responded, giving her own name. It was not something she had needed to use for many, many years, but she knew that amongst others, a name is how to tell yourself apart from others, and was an important part of interactions between individuals. Her name sounded odd to herself, foreign and strange, yet at the same time brought about a feeling of nostalgia.
The only thing she can remember of her riders were their voices, and their voices for only one word: her name. It was something she had held onto dearly during her isolation in the mountains, and the only reason that she still remembers it after so long without using it.
She was jolted from her contemplations as she felt her bond with Cyclone snap into clarity, the hatchling's panic and fear nearly overhwealming Verita for the moment it took Vera to withdrawl slightly from the bond, to make sure she did not share in the hatchling's feelings fully.
Verita focused on the bond, trying to calm the hatchling down, and asked it where it was. She recieved the image of a lone cliff, with the hatchling huddling at the base of it. As the hatchling moved, it sank just a bit further down into a snowbank deeper than the hatchling was high.
Verita extended the connection with the hatchling to the male lunar, so that he could see what she did.
