Hahaha, yeah, it is an argument that Cloti tends to throw at the Cleris. xd I actually think that "The Maiden" is written out well because you get to see how Aeris' powers actually work. In FFVII, she was all a mystery and you don't really know what she's capable of.
The only thing I'm worried about the supposed remake is changes in the storyline and battle system and as Saku said, BAD voice acting. >.< Dude, English anime voice actors aren't very good. Only a few actually have talent. Why Square decided to choose celebrities to voice act, I don't know. I HATE Meena Suvari's voice. -______- I got used to Sephiroth's. Actually, I think he did a lot better in Crisis Core. He sucked in AC and KH2. I actually want to hear what Lance Bass would've sounded if the stupid fans would give him a chance.

But how can you say no to all the glory that comes with a remake just because of voice acting?! if it bothers that much - turn the volume down. lol
See, I'll disagree I loved Aerith's voice, I thought it was well suited to her. And Sephiroth was decent to. If i had to hate on anyone it would actually be Tifa crying
The voice fit her but that acting was so BAD at some parts crying And it hurt more cause she actually tons of lines compared to Aeris and Seph.
Oh - and Yuffie is NOT kim possible...
The remake is coming - all final fantasy games up to six have been remade. Square loves money, the fan base is here, the tech demo got the reaction. It's coming, and I doubt any changes to story line will be made - it's not something common they do.
Scenes will perhaps be redone - such as when you're on the church with Aeris - that might be redone to zoom in, make the landscape bigger. But I'm betting they;d just use the maps from Dirge and Crisis.
Maybe throw in a special secret cool dungeon.

Hahaha, I never said no to the glory of the remake. As a true FF fanatic, I would get all the FF merchandise no matter how bad it is. (But I do regret getting FF X-2 and FFVIII.)
I'm sorry....I honestly can't see how anyone could like Aeris' nasal voice. Unless you are a fan of Mena Suvari, then I would understand. It was probably better in AC than it was in KH. (Then again, in AC she barely speaks.) I loved her voice in Crisis Core. It could've been better, but it was a million times better than Mena Suvari's voice. I wish they chose a good voice actor for Tifa but she was still decent. Rachel Leigh Cooke actually did pretty well as a newbie voice actor. At least better than Suvari.
Of course, I have no doubts that the remake would be made but currently Square has no plans especially with their many projects. Heck, we probably won't get to see it until 2020 or something. -_______-
When I speak of remade scenes in the remake, I wasn't referring to the different camera angles. I would love a change in camera angles since it was be more engaging into the conversations. Square has a tendency to change things around a bit and contradict themselves.

I never understood why they got rid of Mandy Moore and replaced her with Mena Suvari, I mean she is just AWFUL I am so glad she only had about two lines in AC. but I couldn't stand it in KH2. but I think Mandy Moore was pretty decent in KH1. I think all the other voice actors did a pretty decent job as well, its very true that Sephiroth's actor got much much better for Crisis Core. so as long as they replace Ms. Suvari I really don't think I'll have a problem with any of the voice acting.
I do agree that a change of storyline is a big concern. I can so picture them messing it up or adding in something extra because they think its cool when its really not (*ahem* Genisis egging Sephiroth on at the Nebilheim reactor in CC... so not cool IMO).
as far as the battle system goes, if they do change it, as long as its good and new and interesting then I won't be too upset about it. they may find a cool way to keep it in line with the old one with some new tweaks to make it fun.

Yes! I completely agree with you! I was actually in love with Mandy Moore's voice! It was perfect for Aeris!
I don't mind if they keep the old battle system. Knowing Square, they probably would. Plus, after AC, people will expect epic battles with Cloud jumping so high into the sky that the little jump from rock to rock in FFVII would look like child's play.

*Sigh* I loved Mandy Moore's voice for Aerith. When I first heard it, I was like, "AERITH!!!!!! <3" But then... they had to change it to something dead by being beaten with a bag full of kittens. (Sorry for the imagery)
Her new voice in Crisis Core is... okay... It's better than Suvari's, but it still makes me twitch insanely.
I still hate Seph's voice. I love his Japanese voice, just because it makes me melt and go "oooh". It's true, he got better with CC, but it was still... blah. xP
Honestly, it seems American's are horrible at picking out good voices for dubbed things.
Then again, it makes me wonder what it would be like if Vic Mignogna(Edward Elric from FullMetal Alchemist) did Cloud's voice... *Gigglesnort* Man... that'd be hilarious.
If they don't keep the old battle system, I hope they make it like FFX's. That one was really fun! Switching out characters and stuff. XD

But yeah, I agree... In Crisis Core ALL the voices sucked, though.
I wish they had left Lance Bass as Sephiroth, because when I played KH1 I was like "Man, I wish I could hear his voice...". Sephiroth only had, like, two lines. "Sinful Harvest" and his grunts. xD
I was sorta pissed when I heard Sephiroth's voice in Advent Children. I literally ranted about it, saying "I thought his voice would be higher pitched!"
Or at least I think so, my friend brought it up... But I don't remember. I guess I've gotten so used to his deep voice it doesn't bother me anymore... :0
And I just want a remake without any changes. AND I SCREAMED "I AGREE" when I read Yuna's paragraph on changes in storyline.
When my friend told me about Genesis at the Nibelhiem reactor... I about exploded. D:< I hated that so much. I think I yelled at my friend because of it. xDDD (He's durable, he'll take it. P: )
And after FFAC came out, I kinda hated FF... I mean, the thing about Final Fantasy is that the characters were believable... Now they're godmoding like CRAZY and I hate it. D': I wish little rock jumping could be acceptable for Cloud, but NO. He has to jump up into the sky now...
Oh, and Zack's death really bothered me... In the original he was killed by three - count them! - three soldiers! And they were lowly Cloud-level soldiers too! Lead by... Either Rufus or Tseng, I can't remember... I sorta hated how he died, it was too epic.

Oh oh! I ranted about the change in Nibleheim, too!!!!!!!!!!!! But my friend was all like, "I like the change. It makes Seph's insane breaking more realistic". I was like, "DUDE! What the HEll!?!" And oh, man, I hated it so much!
Stupid Genesis has to get too involved with Seph's life! D< Damn him! I don't care if he's some awesome, popular J-rocker with an awesome voice! I HATE GENESIS because of that scene! Damn him! Damn him to Hell!
Oh, Advent Children was pretty cool, I'll admit. I got excited over it. But I really disliked how they displayed Sephiroth. He could've at least had a different objective than destroying the world. I mean, if I were him, I would've gotten revenge on Cloudy-kins for ruining those dreams.
I guess that's what he technically did, but he didn't say anything about revenge. It was just about mother and using the world as a vessel. o.O I mean... that wasn't his plan in the game. His plan was just to wound the planet and soak up the lifestream and become all God-like.
Oh, I agree with the Lance Bass thing. When I heard his grunts in KH... oh, man. That just made me melt and giggle like a school girl. Tee hee~<3 n///n
Besides, Lance is a singer! So, he'd have better control over his voice, like Mandy Moore. So... he would've done a good job with Seph.

YES! I just HATED the part where Genesis "supposedly" was one of the reasons why Sephiroth went insane! OMIGOSH, how twisted can the plot get!!!??
Concerning AC, yeah, the godmoding irked me, but it was still really cool. >.< Yeah, blame the irrational fangirl inside me. Still...I couldn't have imagined it any other way, haha. Though...Cloud flying through the sky made me twitch a lot.....
Foxy, there were three soldiers in Crisis Core but Zack was killed mainly by one of them who shot him in the head a couple of times. By the way, Rufus had nothing to do with events in Crisis Core. All Tseng did was dispatch the Turks. Most likely, President Shinra was the one who sent the army since it's company policy to eliminate "runaway samples." But I do agree that it was too epic. FFVII was quick and sad yet they just can't do that to CC because everything in CC is elaborated. What better way to elaborate than to extend the death scene a little? Plus, it was nice how Zack wanted to pass on his legacy. Anywhoo, I kind of went of a little...I should be going to sleep now. xd
@Saku: Though I'm not a friend of Lance Bass, I so fell in love with his voice in KH. xd All the grunts were just so attractive! xd LOL.

I know, right!? It sent the fangirl inside me thinking of yaoi-tastic moments, as well as non-yaoi-tastic moments, burning inside my mind. Ooooooooh... Seph makes me happy. *Giggle*
Of course, no matter how many times they use that... voice... for Seph, I will always think of him as having an extremely sexy voice - like Lance Bass.
Oohhhhh, the grunts!!!
*Ahem* Fangirling aside, I still dislike Genesis immensly for showing up in the Nibleheim reactor like that. He didn't belong there. >_>

yeah Genesis is really unnecessary and annoying. I'm still playing CC and every time he appears and starts speaking poetry I'm like OMG SHUT UP YOUR NOT AS COOL AS YOU THINK YOU ARE! *sigh* I still love the game though. I realize I forgot to say that I think the girl voicing Aerith in CC is okay, much better than Suvari but I still think Mandy Moore was the best.

Yes, his poetry speaking is sooooooo annoying and repetitive! Can't he say something other than "Loveless?" It's so GRRRRRR!!!! And really, he IS a Mary-Sue. -____-;; It pissed me off that he's near the same level as Sephiroth. Angeal made so much more sense than Genesis.

Oh, I agree with you there. The new voice is better than Suvari, but Moore could do it better. Stupid fans for bothering the voice-casting crew in KH about her being Aerith's voice. >_<
Honestly, I think the voice-casters people dealies shouldn't let the majority of the audience make decisions for them. I think it's great that they're listening to the audience, but if they take a great voice like Mandy away from a great character, then that's just blasphemy!!! Or some other greater sin!
