With her voice ringing in his ears he surged forwards, muscular legs propelling him forwards with a blast of power, before iron strong hooves hammered into the ground as he found his stride. The instant wind rushed over his coat, forcing even his punkish mane back against his neck, short tail whipping behind him as he raced across the ground. Muscles stretched and bunched, driving the heavily built stallion forwards with powerful strides. He wasn't the fleetest creature, but his body wasn't bulked for no reason and the stallion's power was impressive, and more than made up for his inherant weight.
Blue ears pricked forwards as he stretched his neck out, increasing the length of his stride as he settled into the gallop, risking a glance to his side to seek the slender frame of the mare.

bella dea Melanie could barely hear the sound of the stallion beside her above the sound of her own breathing and the thumming of her heart in her ears. Her slender leg muscles propelled her forward with ease as her hooves barely touched the ground. The wind blew the long peices of hair far behind her, into the wind. It was times like these she loved the feel of the wind, the feel of freedom. It was one of the reasons why she loved to run. Whether or not she won, she loved it more than she loved anything else in life. The adrenaline, the sound of her heart beating strongly in her chest as she raced through the feild with this nameless stallion. Even she couldn't help but look over at him. The way his muscles moved underneath his blue coat, the look on his face as he pressed on with her. He really was a peice of work. One she hoped to befriend for years to come.

The sight of her, lithe body stretched out, slim legs a blur as she raced over the ground alongside him her stunning coat aglow in the last rays of the dying sun, took his breath away. She as beautiful. Cloud did not simply mean her phisical apperance, though it was true she was stunning, but it was the light in her eyes, the way she clearly loved to run, the expression of unbridled joy on her face that made his breath catch, causing him to fall a pace behind.
With a wide grin he silently chuckled to himself before pinning his ears back against the roar of their self-made wind, and dug in deeper. Muscles pumped like pistons as he flew over the ground, drawing level with her once more. Grey eyes focusing on the path ahgead as they raced towards the forest's edge, soon to plunge into the trunks.

They were almost there, the edge of the forest was only a few more yards away but the way they were going now they'd be close to tied. As much as she thought this tauny male was handsome, she wouldn't give up easily to just anyone. "You doing... pretty.. good." she managed to pant out. So far she didn't have very good stamina for long distance running, but with sprinting, she was golden.
Getting distracted by thinking about such things would only cause her to slow. But she couldn't help but wonder if he was watching her.
As they kept charging closer to the tree line she noticed it had gotten significantly darker and that shadows were cast on the ground under them. Nights almost here...

Great lungs pounded like billows, his breath snorting from flaired nostrils in faint streams of smoke, so hot was he from the run. One ear flicked towards the mare as she spoke, head tilting to grin widely back at her though he had no breath spare with which to reply, and no time to do so, as they plunged headlong into the shadowy forest. Muscular legs braced and strained as the solid blue stallion narrowly avoided a solid trunk, sapphire fur grazing the knoted bark as he flew past.
Here, the mare's slender, more agile build paid off as she swiftly drew a short way ahead. Though where she could flit past the large and very solid trees, she also had to doghe smaller gound cover. Where as the heavier set and more powerful stallion shot straight though brush and bramble.
Now chasing the flashes of pale mare and her long flagged tail, Cloud had to strain to keep her in sight, the shadows swiftly darkening as night flowed through the forest, chasing the two racing soquili.

Sleek and Agile she was, her muscles were straining and though she may have passed the bigger stallion she didn't have the stamina the others may have. And it caused her to slow considerably.
The branches and bushes that scratched and scrapped her light fur were becoming more noticable as were the sting they left with her. She dodged the rocks and hopped a few fallen trunks and in the distance she could sense a water sorce. That's where she'd stop. Just a little further. "There" she breathed wordlessly, her white bangs whipping against her forehead as she dodged holes and trees in her way. The sapphire stallion may have caught up and put distance between them, but this mare wasn't one to give up!
