Antony took the blade, putting it away with a sharp movement. Then he punched his father right in the face. "You stupid moron, pretty obvious isn't good enough!"
With that he stood and looked at Wisp. "I'll take you home, then," he told the girl. "And hopefully Iggy won't be wondering what I've been doing for the past few days."

"I can get myself home," said Wisp, "I am a girl of the mean dark streets."
Really, she just looked relieved. She hadn't even flinched at the loving father-son punching. She took the star sprinkle that had hung in mid-air and put it back in her pocket; she danced backwards a few steps. "I'm just glad you're okay," she said sincerely, "really glad, Antony."

"I insist," he said. "Besides, after watching my father 'die' right in front of my eyes, by my hands, I could use a bit of a distraction." He dropped a hand on Wisp's shoulder to lead her away.
Shade stayed right where he was. "I think he broke my nose..."
