Cassie only merely smiled when she looked at him. "It is quite alright. I would love to meet your mother some day. But you know what? You are such a sweetheart for looking after your mother so. Not many soquilis will do such a thing for their parents. I mean.. if my mother was sick, I would take care of her in an instant... But to have to watch out for your parent from a foal.. That is a huge commitment. I know you may have miss out on things.. but look at it this way, Jr... If you hadn't.. where would your mother be now, hmm?"
"Hmm... What about?" She perked up and smiles gently. "How about....this?" She nips him playfully and took off towards the meadows. "Come and get me! I bet you never had fun like this!!!" She said towards him without looking back.

Swafi Jr gave her a grateful smile, feeling uplifted just by her words;
'Thanks, I really mean it. I love my mother, I just have a wish that things had been different. But yeah, if I hadn't have looked out for her, she would only have had her familiar to do so, and Squishy isn't always around.'
Swafi Jr blinked as Cassandra nipped him and then grinned, running after her.
'Hey! I'll have you know I can run, that was the one thing..me and my mother..both liked..' he called out, puffing as he strove to catch up with her.

Cassie looks back at him with a giggle. "So did me and my mama. My mama always took the time to be there for me and played games with me since I was all she had for awhile." She ran even faster fast as her feet could take her.. almost like the wind. The wind began to carry her giggling and laughing as it seemed to make the meadow come alive. The birds scatter in all directions. The rabbits and foxes seemed to stop and watch the two of them.
"True.. But she is a good person, Jr.. a better person than what she would have been if you hadn't been there." She said while running.

Cassandra was swifter than he was, and alot fitter it seemed, given that she was able to speak with breaks. He was on her tail though, but couldn't seem to go fast enough to be head to head, his larger size was a clear disadvantage in this race. His mother had been swifter than him as well, and he'd often only won a race because she'd forgotten the way halfway along.
'I don't .. know what she would have been.' he managed in between breaths, the pounding of his hooves on the ground making his head ring a little. It couldn't have been that long since he last raced like this could it?
'Don't want..to ..think about it!' Swafi Jr conjured up a burst of energy and managed to draw up beside her for a stretch before falling behind again.
'You win..!' he called as he slowed, his sides heaving as he dropped his head and tried to get his breath back.

Cassie looked up towards him with a smile and then moved towards him while panting softly. "It is best not to think about what if. But in your heart, you know you are strong. Am I right, Jr?" She licked him on the cheek once she got her breath back.
She smiled with a soft gaze on him. "I believe you do need to find time to find your myself all over again. In other words, you got to go your own way other than always worried about taking care about your mom. All you have to do is find someone who accept both you and your mom." She murred gently. "I always had someone there for me but in my way of thinking, I don't think they ever understood me. You see, I may have took after my mother but really it is hard to be considered on your own when you are pictured to be a mother's daughter." She sighed gently while standing next to him. "I think that is why I feel so connected to you, Jr. It is like we can understand each other."
She looks towards the meadows and watched the animals. "Since I have left my mother's herd the other morning.. I have been thinking of what to do. I never really know how to be on my own til today. I guess I learned to follow my heart." Her gaze turned to his eyes, sparkling with happiness which she didn't know she had. "Just like you have to follow your heart. What is the one thing your heart is telling you?"

Swafi Jr coughed a little, clearing his throat before shaking his mane out. His breathing was almost back to normal, and so was his heart..though that seemed to be racing on it's own when Cassandra looked at him. What is that? he pondered. He'd heard of love at first sight, because his mother had claimed that had happened between herself and his father. But he always thought that he would be too silly around a mare to even begin to think of anything other than being glad that he'd spoken to her.
'I hope I could find that lady,' he managed, realising that he'd been quite for far too long. He felt awkward again, and pushed a smile on his face. The soft lick on cheek seemed to linger long after Cassandra had done it, and his nose felt warm.
'I don't know.'
He had to confess that, because he felt confused. He knew that she did understand him, she was intelligent as she was lovely, and she had cheered him up no end. Was that the beginning of something? He daren't let it slip through his hooves if it was.
'That I'm very glad to have met you, and I'd like to. Well,' he coughed.
'Well..I'd like to see more of you.'

Cassie looks up to him with a soft smile, letting out a happy sigh. She moved up to him once again. "Maybe..maybe you could find it in me.." She said shyly... which almost make her look cuter than what she really is. She watched him after she had licked him on the cheek. She giggled softly and tilts her head. "Something tells me that you liked that, Jr. I think you are just adorable. Believe me.. that is a good thing in my heart."
She looked into his eyes when she had heard his words, murring gently. "I would like that very much, Jr.... I.. I would love to meet your mother someday. I would like to see who helped you become who you became." She then gave him a slight nuzzle.
Her own heart had leaped alittle when she looked at him, thinking to herself, "... what is this? Is this the feeling that mama told me about?" She shook her head in her mind. "It.. it couldn't be.. not a sweetheart like him.. but my heart seems to yearns for him.. over such a short time? How can it be?" She said thoughfully in her mind.

'Uhh..' Swafi Jr stammered, properly blushing, his nose going a very dark colour. He nodded mutely at her question; he did like when she did that, but didn't think he could make the words right now.
'You would? I know she'd be happy to meet you, she likes to meet anyone new.' he finally stopped being tongue-tied and spoke, pleased that she would want to do that for him.

Cassie couldn't help but giggled at his cute actions. She looks into his eyes while her own sparkled quite a bit. "I really don't mind. In fact I do want to meet her. I know it is sudden and everything, Jr.. but Maybe meeting the parents seem to be a good idea."
She looked away shly, "Am I right?" She then nuzzled him once again. "I think you are a very sweet stallion. I was scared that a stallion would be so mean to other mares. Anger isn't a good thing to have... I know. I used to be so mad at my papa.. someone who I have never met in my life for leaving my mother." She sighs gently before looking up at him. "I have my mother but at times I wished I had a father or a stallion to keep me safe at night or to help me feel not so alone." She murred gently before continuing. "I hope you understand. To be alone in this world is not a good thing to be. Someone always needs someone in their life." Her ears flickers to the songs of the birds. She shook her head to get her mane out of her face which blew back behind her neck, like a black raging river.

Swafi Jr plucked up his courage, lipping Cassandra on her neck, his nose buried into the hairs of her mane for a moment. It wasn't much, but he had to show her some sign of affection, what pride he had wouldn't let her be the only forward one.
'Yes, I think we should. It will give us more time together, to get to know one another.' he smiled, nodding.
'I still feel anger towards my father, and I hope every day that I won't do what he did.'

When Cassie felt him lipping on her neck, she gasped as her eyes went wide. She turned to look at him and smiled shyly. "... T.. That caught me offguard, Jr. I.. I didn't think you would do that." She murred loudly for him before nuzzling him in the same way, slightly kissing him on the neck. "I think it is the best idea for us to spend time with you and get to know you. " She said while giving him an affectionate smile.
She then looks into his eyes and replies to his comment. "I believe down in my heart that you would never do what your father did. I believe you truely want to be there for the one you love. Just like you do for your mother, Jr. Your heart is made of gold. I don't believe you have a mean anything in you. Trust me on that." She said with a shy wink and smile.

'I surprised myself as well,' Swafi Jr said, moving away just a touch. It wasn't that he didn't like or want her affections, he just felt that everything was sort of moving fast, and he was so inexperienced that he needed a moment, a breathing space.
'I hope not. It is my greatest fear to turn out like him. I saw what it did to my mother, and I never want to walk that road.'

Cassie looks up to him and nodded gently. "I completely understand, Jr." She tilts her head slightly as she watched him moved away slightly. She stepped back, as if she knew what he wanted. It was all new to her as well. "I am sorry if I am too close, Jr. I dont know what came over me." She blushed ever so deeply, hating the fact that she is scaring him so to speak.
She then looked to the horizon and burred gently. "We'd best find a place.. I think the sun is about to set soon.. Time flew by.. didn't it?"

'Don't do that, don't think it's your fault.' Swafi Jr said, nudging her on her neck. He had to be so careful that he didn't ruin this, precious and delicate new thing in his life.
'It's mine, it's me. I'm just. Well I'm not used to any affection that didn't come from my family. It's kind of overwhelming but in a good way.' he smiled.
'Does that make sense at all?' he asked as he followed her gaze and noticed the colour of the sky.
'Yes. We should find shelter, for the night.'

Cassie looks to him and nodded softly. "I am not used to it, myself.. But I am an affectionate mare by nature. My mother raised me to be that way. She always told me to use my emotions in what I do. I guess I got used to do it so much that I don't realize that I am doing it half the time." She said while blushing quite deeply. "It does make sense. I think it is quite new and scary to the both of us.. isn't it, Jr?"
She looked around and folded her ears. "I don't know if there is a shelter near by.. Maybe you do?" She looked up at him with some hope shining in her eyes. She gave him a small serene smile while burring.
