"It is, probably. More weight to carry around, more of him to worry about." She stared at him for a while then laughed. "Depressed widow...is it sad I could probably see him moping around like that?" Hiroyuki shook her head and then grinned.
"...I realized I don't know your name." She said thoughtfully, looking a little sheepish. She had been babbling for so long, and they hadn't introduced themselves yet! "I'm Hiroyuki. From the Lupin family." She added with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. Many knew of her family. Why shouldn't they? It was the largest wizarding family in the whole of the Realm!

Sigurd chuckled lightly at her words. "It is not sad. The thought is rather amusing--even though I have not met him." Hiroyuki's close bonds with her family made him feel rather at ease. It was nice to know such a nice girl was so close to her family. He was only close with his mother, which made him sad sometimes. There were times when he wished he were close to at least his siblings.
"Oh! How rude of me! I am Sigurd from the Sparda family. It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Hiroyuki." He had heard of her family line--there were pretty famous after all. His own lineage was fairly famous as well. A large family decended from warriors.

She smiled. "It is rather. You should meet him someday! Boujima needs to have more friends, he stays indoors way too much. I don't even know if he's met anyone besides family." She wrinkled her nose in distaste.
"Sparda..." She tilted her head. The name sounded familiar, indeed. "Isn't that another huge family line as well? Having so many family members is fun, isn't it?"

Meeting her brother would probably prove interesting. Sigurd needed some more friends, too, actually. The few that he had he never saw very often, if even more than once. Like her brother, he also needed to get out more.
He nodded lightly, but with a slight sadness in his eyes. Aside from his immediate family, he never saw anyone else he could remember. "Unfortunately I do not recall meeting any of my extended family. And even my immediate family--aside from my mother I have not seen in a long while."

Hiroyuki pouted. "Well you should! Why haven't you? It's really really fun to talk with everyone and ask how they're doing and all! And hearing about new kits in the family is always a joy!" Having so many family members, meant there were more people to depend on, more people to go to. Of course, it did mean clashes between a few as well, for example, her and a certain barbarian, but on the overall, Hiroyuki loved her family.

He didn't really know how to answer her. There wasn't really an excuse he could give. He loved his family, even if he's only seen them a few times at most, but the problem was he barely knew them. The only member he knew growing up was his mother, but that was because she was the one who raised him. She...never really kept in contact with them for reasons he assumed, were her own.
"Well..." His voice lingering with regret, "I do not know where their residence is, for one thing. Mother never spoke of them very much. I assume there were reasons why I never really met them. However, should the opportunity ever present itself...I would most definitely go to see them."

She frowned. That sounded sad indeed, and she felt sorry for him. Having such a big family, yet not knowing them. "You could go find them!" She suggested. "Ask your mother? They are your family after all, you have a right to know!"

But wouldn't it be rude to just show up unannounced? What if his family members had other plans? What if they moved? He was always afraid the answers to those questions would be answers he would not want, so he never brought up the idea with his mother to begin with.
"But what if it is they who do not want to see me? Would they not have sought me out by now, then?" He frowned.

"Why would family be upset to see each other?" Hiroyuki blinked in surprise. It was a notion that did not make sense to her. "Unless of course, you have met before and you dislike each other, but you haven't, have you? You'll never know till you try. I love most of my family, except a select few of course, but we are family after all. Blood is thicker than water and all that."

"There might be reasons why they might not wish to see me..." He answered softly. Maybe his father had no intention to recognize him as part of his children. His older sister and his sister seemed fairly close not only to each other, but to his father and uncle.
"Thank you, though, I will try to seek them out and ask them about an explanation. I believe this time is even more so a good reason to seek them out. My mother has been seeing someone new...And I believe they have intentions to start a family. So I suspect I will have more siblings soon..." A soft smile formed upon his maw.
He was greatful to Hiroyuki for cheering him up. "You are correct, blood is thicker than water."
