(My teacher gave us a take-home test and let us out half the class early thus why I'm here) I refuse to be a butthurt fan. Old Snake Says...You're not bothered in the least that the Wii MotionPlus isn't going to be implemented by third parties for some time? To be honest that isn't Nintendo's priority or fault. If the third parties wanted to use the Motion Plus, they've would of actually approach or even asked. Nintendo is not going to spoon feed every single third party on the planet. Not to be too belligerent, Xera, but that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. How the hell are third parties going to approach Nintendo about a technology they don't know about? @Wak: How are games NOT important to a console? Sure, Nintendo's 1st parties are still great, but if that's all they have to offer, then eventually real gamers are going to need to purchase a PS3 or 360 in order to have a satisfying experience with this particular generation of gaming. My roommate won't be purchasing ANY games for the rest of this year because Nintendo won't be releasing anything worth playing.

HistoryWak -The Gray Legend- Solus Canis Lupus -The Gray Legend- l -Xera- l The Dark They announced it before E3. x.x; I don't know how third parties didn't know. Also I'm really tired of it's "The Wii's fault third parties aren't doing well". It's up to the job of the third parties to use what's available instead of Nintendo spoon feeding them in order to do well. That's what pissing me off, they are being lazy and uncreative. Old Snake Says...I don't think it's Nintendo's fault. The third parties seriously need to get their act together when it comes to Wii. But you have to admit, Nintendo has to put some effort into putting exclusive third party games on Wii. It doesn't seem like they have been doing that. But from what the third parties have been doing, Nintendo hasn't been given much of a reason... stare Wow, It's amazing how much people can change over time. Getting a PS3 really has changed how you feel towards the Wii, huh? xp Guess the same could be said for me. I used to call it a fad until my brother actually got it for the holidays. I ate my words. sweatdrop But I liked it. biggrin Old Snake Says...Idk...I don't hate the Wii, I just don't appreciate it as much anymore. When I got the Ps3 my tastes in games changed to something more, should I say, mature? And what the Wii was offering just wasn't cutting it anymore. There are some games I'll still play, like SSX Blur, Excite Truck, Brawl, Metroid, and even Wii Sports and WarioWare if there are friends with me. EDIT: Nice new look. No. Wrong choice of words. @Canis: You became more open-minded. @Legends: I don't know what the hell you became. xD On an off topic note: I don't understand everyone's deal is with third-party games. Since when are they the most important thing a console needs? Solid Snake Says...I became someone with a completely different viewpoint who is at this point tired, experiencing a mild headache, is kind of nauseous, and is really trying not to be a d**k. Just thought I'd throw all that in.

I know third parties aren't exactly so happy however they haven't actually done much with the Wii either. All they seem to do is just tacked on Motion Controls (And very poor) and expect to sell. Otherwise Nintendo said "Look we've made some improvements to the Wii-mote" otherwise they don't seem to care about their third party partners. And as I said before Nintendo doesn't like to spoon feed other companies except for themselves. Nintendo attitude is basically "Deal with it".

That's all Nintendo needs for this generation. Now granted EA, Ubi and Capcom have better relationships with Nintendo because they've known now how to use some of the Wii-mote's functionality. What I feat the most is what if Wii2 comes out in the next 3 years to 4 years. Those consumers won't buy another Wii because they'll never know the difference. They'll just take out the old Wii instead.

And thanks, just need a Katana...which is expensive...I got it when it first game out too...I was stupid for getting rid of it. gonk @Wak I wouldn't say the most important, but they do play a role I think. First party is important as Nintendo has demonstrated over the years and Sony is now starting to realize because third parties don't have to stay exclusive. Third parties are important though because first parties only have so much resources. There can be a lot more third parties than first parties, and in my personal opinion third parties have a lot more opportunity to come up with original ideas than first parties. First parties tend to have the need to focus on certain games. Mario games, Jak and Daxter, etc. If first party titles become popular, those first parties have to focus on those titles and leave less room for new IPs. That's kind of where third parties come in. Take Nintendo, they've taken on the new casual route for original ideas...and I support that, but focusing on those more have resulted in less support for their hardcore games. It's hard for a first party to focus on so much at once....and I think third parties ease the load. I agree. @Zombicide: That's the first I've heard that rumor. Where have you been, buddy? That rumor has been around since E3 '05. E3 '06 was supposed to be the last one.

I bought my ps2, not becuase it also played DVDs and CDs, but because it had games that I wanted. I didn't buy a gamecube because I fewlt most of the games either sucked or just weren't my cup of tea. There were like...2 or 3 games I would've been willing to play, but I never felt really compelled to ever buy one. It's not neccessarily gimmicks that sell consols, albeit they're ncie to have because then you can save some space. If you're a gamer, an actual gamer, you will buy the consol that has the games you want to play.
