Chapter 13: In Search of Truth
New characters: Serra, Matthew, GuyHow: Serra and Matthew: Automatic Guy: Chat with Matt Shops: Armory Iron Sword - 460g Javelin - 400g Hand Axe - 300g Iron Bow - 540g Vendor: Vulnerary - 300g Heal Staff - 600g Items: Torch - Village in the top left corner Mine - Village under where your party starts Victory: Seize the Castle gate Secrets: Grab the torch in the village to get a side quest. (Honestly, who would miss a village?) Boss:Boies Class: Knight Level: 13 HP: 27 Weapon: Steel Lance Enemy Reinforcements:Turn: ........Class: ........Level: ........Place: 3,4 ..........Brigand ........2 ........ Fort nearest to Guy 5,6 ........Soldier ........2 ........ At the bottom on the left side of the river, left fort. 5,6 ........Archer ........2 ........ At the bottom on the left side of the river, right fort. 7 ...........Soldier ........6 ........ Fort on the lower left of the castle. Strategies: Magegirl Nino's strategy: I have two strategies. The legitimate one, and the mine glitch! This is the first chapter in which you would get to use the mine glitch. Basically, you can send Marcus down with a javelin and get the mine from the village, lay it down, and mine glitch. (I explain this in the first post.) Have the enemies all drop their weapons, and give the ones you want to Guy! =o Effectively steal them! Don't throw away Guy's Killing Edge, you'll have to get him the normal way if you want to keep it. This is a great way to level up Matthew or Guy or anyone weak. Just send them around to the harmless enemies and kill people. =3 Keep in mind that you'll still have to protect the village in the top left corner. Even without weapons, the bandits can destroy it. Now for the real strategy. Send a group hurriedly toward the village in the top left. It might take two or three turns to get to the village. Don't wait. The bandits will have it destroyed soon. Meanwhile, have someone strong lead the way on the other side. Don't leave Rebecca within range of the enemies. Have Lowen or Hector or Oswin stand in the opening and keep everybody else back a few spaces. Make sure you grab the mine in the other village quickly. Once you've killed the enemies on this side, check Guy's range. Matthew will be able to reach him by waiting just one space out of Guy's range. So put Matt one space outside of the red space shown when you click Guy. On the next turn, run him towards Guy and have a nice chat. Then make sure to get rid of anybody that would present a danger to our resident sneaky guy. Up by the torch village, you should have been breaking down the tree stump. Beat the mercenary with a lance dude and take a shopping break. =o Kill the guys around the boss and get ready to beat him up. Hector kicks his butt easily. Tibarn's Strategies: I recommend sending Marcus, Oswin, and an axeman you want to give a bit of experience to to the village on the left (if you don't favor Fighters, or want to wait for Dart, just Oswin and Marcus will do on their own). Marcus can quickly hit the village, and you can use Oswin to break the tree quickly. He'll handle the first bandit with ease, no doubt, and send your axeman down to clean up the rest for some nice experience from Boies' Soldier guards. This is a great level for Serra to get staff experience, because it has a lot of reinforcements from the southern forts. Clear out the archers just south of your party with anyone who needs experience, and heal them with Serra. Lowen can get the Mine and use his Canto ability to move back. use the forest to the southeast to fortify your party and keep them safe from the archers and cavaliers who spawn at the fort. Use Serra as much as you possibly can-- she should be healing on EVERY TURN for maximum experience. Once the reinforcements stop coming, check Guy's range and put Matthew JUST outside of it. Matthew's 6 movement is enough for him to run all the way to Guy and recruit him. By this time, Marcus should have bought some supplies (especially if you've given him nothing but a simple iron axe, he can get up to 3 items in addition to his weapon and the Torch he picked up) at the Shop and Armory-- I recommend buying a second Heal staff for Serra, because she'll run out fast if you're trying to level her a lot. Also, if you don't care about your grade, this is a good level to get an early SerraxMatthew support if you want it-- they complement one another very well in terms of affinity, and their conversations are hilarious. Hector can do a ton of damage to Boies, but try to spread experience from this boss around some-- he can give a lot, with his high defense, and it's valuable in the upcoming side quest, where enemies can pop out and surprise you-- plus, more experience for Serra! Yay! All in all, I find it's best to approach this level defensively, because if you're not careful, those reinforcements can rape the hell out of you this early in the game. Character Analysis:Magegirl Nino's comments:Serra: See chapter 5. Matthew: See chapter 6. Guy: I usually don't end up using this... guy... too much. o.o; I did use him once, and of course, he was better than Karel. Zelym's comments:Remember how Myrmidons are good for criticals? Get his supports up, and give him the Wao Do. I had him up to 112 critical rate once. Tibarn's comments: Guy is pretty solid, if you prefer dodging over defense, he's the way to go. I personally prefer Raven, who tends to get higher strength, but that's mostly because despite his high crit rating, I can NEVER GET GUY TO CRIT RAAAUGH. I get more crits from Oswin, no joke.

Chapter 13x: The Peddler Merlinus
New characters: MerlinusHow: He is given after the chapter. Shops: None Items: 5000g - village in the top right corner. Victory: Keep Merlinus safe for seven turns. Secrets: None.
Boss:Puzon Class: Mercenary Level: 10 HP: 26 Weapon: Steel Sword Enemy Reinforcements:Turn: ........Class: ........Level: ........Place: 2,5 ..........Nomad ........2 ........ Fort in the top left corner. 2,5 ..........Myrmidon ....3 ........ Fort right above the boss. 3 ..........Brigand ........3 ........ Upper fort in the lower right corner. 3 ..........Nomad ........2 ........ Lower fort in the lower right corner. Strategies: Magegirl Nino's strategy: It's dark. So dark, you can't see any enemies. Just like fog, though, your units can see a few spaces in front of them, and thieves can see more. Torches, also, illuminate the darkness a bit. First off, your goal is to protect the wimpy green guy in the middle of your starting point. Rescue him, or something. I never rescue him, I just block the two bridges. Eliwood will have to partly stand on his own. He'll do best on the bridge to the right, though. So put Hector on the left bridge, and Eli on the right. Station Rebecca behind Eliwood, put Lowen with a javelin behind Hector, and send Marcus out toward the village in the corner. Because my Matthew is always very strong, I send him to fight the bandits in the lower right corner. However, if your Matthew isn't quite that reliable, I'd suggest sending Dorcas and Bartre. Send Guy and Oswin to the left to fight off the myrmidon and bandit over there. Oswin should wait higher, because he can easily kill the boss when he comes flying out of the darkness at you. Soaring Raven Vika's strategy: (Hard Mode) Matthew isn't going to be your biggest asset in this chapter, but he's definitely going to help you. Thieves give you that vision bonus. As for tackling the level, you can just as easily park high Def units (Oswin, Hector, Dorcas) at the bridges and snags, but if you want any experience here you're going to have to go on the offensive. Send two units up the bridges to the north of the central island to block entrance to them. Keep an eye on them, because you're going to go from dealing with bandits to dealing with your first enemy nomads, and their HP will go down quick. You'll also want to send someone to the left of that island, because within a couple of turns that snag is going to be broken down and everything to the left will have access to your area. Now, send a few units down. A stray bandit or two is going to attack you from the bottom left, but you're in the clear after that because everything else to the left is going to focus on that snag. As with the left snag, the snag leading to two fortresses and a ton of bandits at the far bottom right is going to be broken down soon as well. I usually send Hector, Guy, Bartre, and Matthew that direction. Bust some skulls and work your way up the right side. Reach the village at the top right and you'll get a quick 5000g. Not too shabby. Hope you're keeping your island defenses fortified, 'cause they'll keep coming at you. Handle them, and you can eventually move up to the top left where the boss, one more nomad, and a mage will be waiting for you. They're not that hard. Play your strategy right, and this chapter's a piece of cake to kill all enemies before the turn limit. Character Analysis:Magegirl Nino's comments:Merlinus: There's no living without him. He carries all your stuff. Very nice. =3 And if he dies, he'll come back in the next chapter. Merlinus is useful. He'll never be able to fight for you, and sometimes you'll need to leave someone with him to fight for him. Enemies like to try to kill him. He should promote, if he never dies, around chapter 26.

Chapter 14: Wigglers
New characters: Erk, PriscillaShops: Armory: Iron Sword - 460g Iron Axe - 360g Iron Axe - 270g Iron Bow - 540g Vendor: Vulnerary - 300g Heal Staff - 600g Fire Magic - 560g Items: Iron Blade - Village at the top Silver Lance - Kill the boss Victory: Defeat all enemies.
Boss:Erik Class: Cavalier Level: 14 HP: 28 Weapon: Silver Lance Enemy Reinforcements:Turn: ........Class: ........Level: ........Place: 3,4 ..........Pirate ............3 ........ Left most fort near the bottom of the map 4,5 ..........Brigand .........3 ........ In the mountains above the castle. 7 ..........Pirate ............3 ........ Middle fort near the bottom of the map. 7 ..........Pirate ............3 ........ Fort in the right lower corner. Strategies: Magegirl Nino's strategy: Start off by sending somebody fast, I usually send Marcus, just because he can, toward the village near the lower left. Kill the cavaliers to your right, and set a guard at each bridge, just in case. Hector at the higher bridge, Oswin at the lower. Send Lowen, with Serra just behind, past the bridge towards the other village. If you're lucky, when Erk comes out, he'll head your way and kill the soldier. Then talk to him with Serra. Send Erk back towards the bridge, pick up Serra with Lowen and bring her back behind the bridge guard. Take her with somebody, and set her down. Next turn, send Lowen back out to the village. Start sending backup for Marcus, because if you want to keep Prissy safe you'll need more than just Marcus. Once you get her, start sending her up towards the backup. Make DARN sure to keep her out of the range of any enemies. There will be pirates coming up toward the shore where the rest of your party waits. Guy and Matt take them out like easy-pie. Once you have some time to shop, start shopping. Feel free. =o Once everybody is rested, healed and shopped, we can start thinking about the boss. He's got a few friends with him. Just draw them in and pick them off. Erik will head your way as soon as he can see you. He's got a silver lance, and he's dangerous. I usually take him out with either Marcus alone (The easy, exp wasting way) Hector and Erk, or Lowen and Oswin. Beat him in one turn! o.o; Character Analysis:Magegirl Nino's comments:Priscilla - If you neglect her, no loss. Just use Serra. Priscilla can move faster, but the problem is, in my experience, her magic stat stays leagues lower than Lucius or Serra. Weirdness... She can eventually stand on her own four hooves. I remember liking her at one point. Arena abuse is goood for her. I also looooove her outfit.

Chapter 15: Noble Lady of Caelin
New characters: Lyn, Sain, Kent, Florina, Wil Shops: Armory 1: Slim Sword - 480g Iron Sword - 460g Steel Sword - 600g Iron Axe - 270g Steel Axe - 360g Hand Axe - 300g Armory 2: Slim Lance - 450g Iron Lance - 360g Steel Lance - 480g Javelin - 400g Iron Bow - 540g Steel Bow - 720g Vendor: Vulnerary - 300g Door Key - 50g Heal Staff - 600g Fire Magic - 560g Items: Red Gem - Village directly under where the team starts. Horseslayer - 3rd Mercenary near the bottom. Thunder - Mage near the castle. Victory: Defeat all enemy units.
Boss:Bauker Class: Knight Level: 18 HP: 31 Weapon: Javelin Enemy Reinforcements:Turn: ........Class: ........Level: ........Place: 3,4 ........Brigand ...........3 ........ Mountains above Merlinus. 5,6 ........Mercenary ...........4 ........ Top fort near the castle. 5,6 ........Cavalier ...........4 ........ Bottom fort near the castle. 6 ........Brigand ...........4 ........ Bottom right corner of the map, by the armories. 10-13 ........Cavalier ...........3 ........ Top left of the map. 10-13 ........Cavalier ...........4 ........ Top right of the map. Strategies: Magegirl Nino's strategy: This one can be a little tough. So you have control of Lyn, Sain, Kent, and Wil in the bottom right corner. Start shopping immediately. Make sure you buy enough for your whole group. Lyn and friends can already use Merlinus, so you don't have to worry about the five item rule. Start sending Sain and Kent toward the two mercenarys and the heavy spear while Lyn and Wil shop themselves silly. Set up Guy and Erk in the mountains keeping Merlinus safe. Leave a couple of strong people up there so they can deal with the cavaliers later. Send everybody else down. Soaring Raven Vika's strategy: This chapter bugs the hell out of me. It's not even funny. I find this chapter to be way more annoying than some of the endgame chapters. Gotta play it to win it, though, so here we go. First of all, Merlinus is dead weight. Defend him if you want, but I have never had any luck in keeping him alive. Bandits will swarm him, and then once he's out they'll go for the lower right village if you haven't visited it. So you're going to want to send your units to the center of the stage (easier said than done, because of all the forests) and have them take out the primary fighting force. As for Lyn's little cadre, you're going to want to have them do about the same, eliminating the enemies on their side. You're going to want to work towards the center until everyone's taken care of. Watch your back, because a few turns in enemies will start coming from where you started. Just keep an eye on the HP of your units, because it will go down quick, and work towards the center. Once you've taken out the majority of enemy units, work towards the boss. He's a Knight, so he's not going to go down easily unless you're toting mages or armorslaying weapons at him. He's also wielding a sole javelin and a pretty solid attack, which means he can mess up your distance units (looking at you, Erk) just as easily as he can your melee units. Just watch your back and whittle away at him until he's down, then seize with Eliwood. Chapter's annoying as hell, but it's beatable. Character Analysis:Magegirl Nino's comments:

Chapter 16: Whereabouts Unknown
New characters: Raven (enemy) - talk with Priscilla Lucius (NPC) - talk with Raven after recruiting Shops: None Items: Unlock Staff - bottom left chest Hero Crest - bottom right chest Knight Crest - top left chest Silver Sword - top right chest In Normal Mode, I think it's a Blue Gem for keeping them all alive. Victory: Seize throne Secrets:
Boss:Bernard Class: General Level: 1 HP: 29 Weapon: Steel Lance, Hand Axe Enemy Reinforcements:Turn 7, 8, 9, 10 - x2 cavalier - x1 Shaman w/Flux (In hard mode, these are archers)
Strategies:
Magegirl Nino's strategy:
Soaring Raven Vika's strategy: Ooh, lots of chests to loot here. Pack Matthew, you're going to need him. Charge the main entrance, but keep a couple of decent units at the entrance because turns in you're going to get stormed with cavaliers. Send Matthew off to the left with some support, and send the others through the castle. Include Eliwood, because you'll need him to recruit Raven and Lucius. For now, just keep pressing on.
Turn 7, things are going to change up a bit. Here's when you'll get the first reinforcements from where you started, which is why you should have left someone behind to defend Merlinus. Also, a cutscene at the beginning of the turn will give Lucius a vulnerary and a Lightning and open the door so he and the three guards with him can get out. You'll want to keep these guards alive because the more you do the better reward you'll get at the end. Have Matthew grab the treasure and get to the rest of the group as soon as possible, and keep driving your fighting force down the halls. Get Prissy to Raven as soon as possible, and get Raven to Lucius. Watch out, because shamans will keep spawning from the central room.
When you get to the boss, make short work of his knight protectors. He's your first general, but he's a pushover with armorslaying weapons like Hector's Wolf Beil. Dispose of him and seize the throne.
