He looked around examining everything as he had been trained to do, playing battle scenes over in his mind to see how the terrain would effect them. He nodded here and there, it was a good spot, not perfect but nothing ever was until you made it so. Yes it would do quite nicely.
"Very good" he said it more to himself than her. "I suggest you duck" with hardly a pause to give her time to do so he flicked his arm out and send the chain flying out to the trees going several trees deep into the woods before he tossed his arm to the side sending the chain flying through the air slicing the trees down. He continued in a circle as the trees became dominos knocking down those nearby which had been out of reach of the chain. One full circle and he had cleared an acre of land. The stumps would have to be removed so the roots couldn't hold the soil in place but that could wait for now. The sun was what they needed to bring first. He walked forward and jumped onto one of the fallen trees, the woods had fallen silent as the birds had fled his destruction. He walked to the trees still standing and put his paws against it pushing at the tree testing its spring, they were good trees the wood would be useful for several things... he really wished he had opposable thumbs. He stepped back again and threw his arm out the chain shot out and wrapped itself around the tree, with one sharp tug the roots tore, with another the tree was on its side uprooted. He stopped and looked back at the clearing, it was easier to gauge now that he was on the edge rather than the center, he nodded again, yes this would do quite well. "What shall we do with all the wood?" He smiled amused, this was cheering him up nicely, destruction was good for the soul

Elysia managed to easily avoid the whipping chain, and stayed hunched down until it had stopped. When she heard the destruction cease, she stood up again, stretching her muscles. She tilted her head to the side, and lept along the fallen tree's, as easily as a kitsusagi with sight would, she stopped not too far from Dark Prince. At his question, she shrugged." We could use it for fires, i know most kitsusagi's are afraid of fire. Should they ever attack or try to ssssssneak in" she said with a shake of her head. "Depends on how you feel about tricksssss and trapsssss" she said with a burst of laughter. She could go either way really.

He thought about fire for a moment, but if one wasn't careful fire had a way of turning back on its master. Fire would clear the forest very quickly too which wouldn't be bad if they were ready for it, but they had only arrived and any attention the fire would bring to them would be bad attention. No traps or plans yet devised to thin their numbers. He preferred subtle measures with which to go undetected until he was ready for war, and he was sure that such blatant destruction of the forest would mean war to the weak forest lovers.
" Fire is too bold a move for so early in the game, when our traps are set and ready for war, for they will try to stop us, then we shall use fire, but we have much work ahead of us before then" He jumped down again and walking into their clearing, he looked at all the stumps he had made, he sent his chain out and ripped a stump out of the ground then another. It felt good be active, to finally be able to do something but this was going to get old fast. How could he make a desert out of the land faster? He looked over his shoulder to Elysia, then turned to her "How are you with destruction? Think you could rip up a few stumps and level a few trees?" His voice which had a grated tone to it like sand over stone was all the more pronounced when he spoke, he was challenging her to show him what power she had. Challenging her to prove her worth to be his mate. He continued to rip the stumps out of the ground as he waited for her response wondering if his challenge would go unnoticed.

Elysia tilted her head to the side again, at his request to help destroy the forest. She turned her head to the woods, even though she couldnt 'see' them. She shrugged, and dug her claws into the log she was standing on, she hunched down, like she was going to pounce, but remained in the prone position. Electricity crackled around her, snapping and twisting. After a moment, the electricity merged with sand, that also drifted around her. The two deadly elements, merged together. A lightning powered cone of sand, shot towards one of the few remaining tree's, blasting it with the sheer force of the electricity and the sand shards. This process continued, removing tree's and stumps alike, until splinters and torn leaves rained down. The smell of scorched lumber, hung heavily in the air, but would drift away at the first strong gust of wind.
She sagged down on her log, breathing heavily. Her front paws hung over the front, and her tails drooped. The destruction took a toll on her. "Isssss there anything left?" she asked, with a growl in her throat. Her tone belied her tired look. If there was anything left, she would use the last of her strength to destroy it. Her mind and spirit, were stronger then her nightmare body. Her claws dug into the log, she didnt like this feeling. it had been too long since she'd last used her power like that. With proper training and regular use, she could do so much more.

DP watched her impressed with her power, but the toll it took on her was a weakness, she was not as strong as he had hoped and could not set traps as he had planned. This was a minor set back, but knowledge he was happy to have. It meant if he ever had to go up against her he would only have to dodge her attacks until she was weakened and then take her out. Still she had her uses. There were still trees standing, the forest was large, but they had cleared enough for now to start their desert off right.
"Those will come later" he turned towards the clearing and the fallen trees "Now to clear the wood away and start the rest of our work" she was determined he'd give her that, but they needed to clean now rather than destroy. He would give her no reprieve yet, her pride and determination would take it as an insult and he wanted to see how far she could go. He began clearing the land of any wood or green thing he saw, the earth needed to be exposed to the sun. He started by moving everything to the highest point in the clearing, he wanted to create a damn and divert any water that may flow down after the rains.

Elysia, wasnt out of tricks yet. Oh no sir. Her father, pulled energy from the sun, he could charge more rapidly. She wasnt as fast as her father, but it helped. She growled, deep in her chest. She pushed herself up, her tails flicking violently, with her temper. Her black fur, began to glow, absorbing the sun, and its energy. She was a desert creature, with electric flair. She lept from her log, and began clearing the area away, her muscles strained, but she didnt give up and relent, she kept working, and working hard.

He was impressed and pleased, he had thought she might be out of the game for a bit, girl was as determined as he is. He said nothing but continued to clear and build a diversion dam. When the last of it was cleared and nothing but bare earth remained he drug his claw through the earth to test its consistency. It was partially sandy which was good it meant that it was at one time sand and could easily be again. He looked to Elly she had power over the sands and had the determination to work for a desert so why not have her call the sand to inhabit its new home?
"Call the sand, give it a new home" He didn't even bother to ask if she could do it, he knew she could, if she had the strength to do it now after taxing herself so completely was a different question. He wanted to push her, test her, find her limits and perhaps push her to new ones. If she rebelled against his command he would deal with it easily enough, but she wanted this as much as he did if not more, so he was sure she would do it.

Elysia growled, and shook her neck muscles. She knew he was testing her, pushing her, finding her bounderies, finding her limits. She smirked to herself, even though she still felt drained, she held herself regally, head held high. Her father taught her well in the ways of war, and reading others. But, part of her liked him, so she played along for now. She shook her neck again, a habit that she'd grown fond of. Her paws clenched into the ground, she sunk within herself again. There was a rumbling in the distance, and from the direction they'd come from, a rolling wave of sand showed up over the horizon. She thought about warning Dark Prince about it, but if he was part of the sand as she was, he'd know. If not, oops. The sand wave rolled over them, it went around Elly, circling her. The sand crackled with electricity, as it settled over the cleared area. Elly was covered in a light coat of sand, which she shook off. She felt weakened again, but not as much as before, with the sun shining brightly on them, she felt near invincible. But not as much.

He had been standing on the damn he had constructed and so was mostly out of the way of the wave, it crashed against the damn and sprayed him but the damn was solid and didn't move even under such sheer force. He nodded both pleased that his damn held up so well and by her abilities, she was a good ally to have. He stepped off the damn shaking the sand off which had sprayed him. He stood there in the sand for a moment feeling it shift under his feet. It was a good feeling to have and he gave himself a moment to savor it.
"Thats enough for now, we will expand our land further tomorrow, for now let us explore all our land has to offer." He looked about to see what could be seen, he was building a fortress in his mind, setting the traps, secret passages, armaments... everything one would need to hold their own in a battle. He saw much of it laid out before him, but it was all preliminary, he needed to know the land like the back of his hand

Elysia chuckled, and stepped out of her little sandless circle. As soon as she stepped onto the sand, it filled in. She walked accross the new desert. There was a circular rock wall, bordering a fair amount of the desert. Then there was the damn Prince had constructed. The opening into the desert wasnt that big, so it would filter out those who entered, plus it would be a good advantage if they needed to trap the place. Elly walked out the opening. It was mostly dense forests around these area's. The rock wall continued down one side, into the forest, in the other direction, the wall tapered down as it went towards the beach. There was a valley, on the other side of the dam. and on the other side of the valley, the tree's tapered, and thinned allowing meadows and open areas. Above the rock wall was another dense forest, with thick underbrush. There were quiet a few vantage points up there, and only three ways up the cliff wall. There were also two hidden caves in the cliff wall, that took up a fare amount of the inside of the cliff. Later on, elly would likely claim one as hers.

He didn't like being surrounded by so much forest, he could feel it creeping in on him, he sent out his chain again ripping up the few trees that stood between his desert and the beach, now at least it was more open, now at least he wasn't surrounded. He tossed the trees onto the damn and turned back to guage his surroundings "know anything more about this place?" She seemed more familiar with the land and he assumed she had been here before

Elly flicked her tails, nodded her head lightly. "itssss a waysss away to the head quarters, or any residentssss that i know of" she said as she raised her nose to the air, not that it did much. "the woods are thick in most places, they deture most from venturing too far into them" she flicked her tails, growling. "Few are strong enough to venture into area they do not know" she said with a chuckle. She shook her head again, focusing on the area. "There is a lake, after the valley and a meadow. A river runs nearby, not big enough for a bridge." Her tails swayed side to side now. "Caves, are scattered all along the cliff face" she said, turning her head towards their section of the cliff "there are two within the desert, with many passageways we can maneuver around" She nodded.

Caverns hu? That perked his interest "Well then lets do some exploring of what these caves have to offer" Depending on the cave system and the rock they were made of he could do alot and be more than comfortable... especially if these caves had other hidden exits with which to flank his opponents, if nothing else they would provide good shelter and storage. He looked to the rock face, they seemed well hidden too, he was liking this location more and more, yes it would do quite nicely, quite nicely indeed. They would of course have to clear more of the forest away to make a sustainable desert but they had time yet, that would wait for tomorrow and the following days, now was the time to learn the land better than any opponents and set traps, but first things first... the caves.

Elly nodded, and padded towards the cliff face, she tilted her head to the side, as if waiting for something. She walked along the base of the cliff, and found the hidden path up. It was something similar to the stair-way from lord of the rings, only less stairy, more natural. She lept up easily, winding up the cliff, and reaching the first cave, the mouth of the cave wasnt that big, but the inside was huge, and stretched back a ways. There was a fine layer of sand, from the transportation. She paused, waiting for Prince

He followed her quietly once inside he began to explore a bit, staying by the entrance until his eyes could adjust. It was a good size, fighting was even possible in here, the entrance would bottleneck them and he would cut them down one by one. He padded softly around, the caves could echo even the smallest roll of the smallest pebble to sound like a boulder crashing down. That could be used he realized, place pebbled by the entrance any unknowing visitor would set off an alarm so to speak... good very good. He couldn't hep but smile and let loose a chuckle. For once things seemed to be going his way, the chuckle rang through the caves warping into a malevolent beast of a sound like the very caves were alive and joining in on his schemes. He turned to Elly and brushed up against her appreciately if not affectionately, she had done well, quite well in fact. He was most pleased by todays accomplishments
