The heretic is always better dead... Joey saw K limping over to him. He watched the ground; so far he had been lucky not to step in any thumbtacks. Knowing that he wasn't running at full pace, Joey didn't try to trip him into the glass pane. Instead, he went for a short spear takedown, which would throw both of them into the large quantity tacks in the ring's centre. ... And mortal eyes cannot distinguish the saint from the heretic.

The spear connected, sending Fresh back first into a pile of tacks. He screamed and rolled quickly onto his stomach to relieve the pressure to his back.

The heretic is always better dead... Joey rolled the opposite way, hoping to get to his feet first, but this was halted by numerous tacks sticking into his arm and shoulder as he moved away. He winced as he slowly stood, spreading the tacks away with his hand first so he wouldn't stand in any. ... And mortal eyes cannot distinguish the saint from the heretic.

Fresh brought his hands out in front of himself and attempted to push himself up. He managed to rise to a knee, he scanned the ring deciding his next move.

The heretic is always better dead... Joey went straight for a dropkick on Fresh as he got to one knee, lunging forward so he would reach. ... And mortal eyes cannot distinguish the saint from the heretic.

Fresh was caught by the dropkick awkwardly, he fell onto his shoulder and involuntarily rolled twice through the tacks before coming to rest just before the barbed wire.

The heretic is always better dead... Joey also landed on many tacks, pulling them out of his back with a shout as he got to one knee. He looked around the cage, before seeing K-Fresh near to the barbed wire. He decided to make his way over to him, again brushing away any tacks with his hand while he was down, to avoid treading in them. ... And mortal eyes cannot distinguish the saint from the heretic.

After a long match, with blood-soaked glass, tacks, and wood littering the ring, a still-flaming top turnbuckle, and a hole in the now-collapsing left side of the ring, battered and bruised Joey and Fresh are still duking it out, albeit, at a slower pace on top of the lip of the cage; both men are having trouble seeing through the blood pouring from their heads and are tired from beating the s**t out of each other. As K Fresh grabs Joey for a Suplex off the top, Joey slips Fresh over his shoulders as the audience begins to cheer. Looking around, excitement begins to rise before Joey leaps from the top of the 15 foot cage, nailing Kid Fresh with a Pact of the Covenant into an absolutely huge pile of chairs in the center of the ring. The audience goes wild as Joey covers Fresh for the count, crowning the first Deathmatch champion!
