Expression tightening slightly, Ki nodded, acknowledging Kyou's reply. However, if the slight hardening of her gaze as she looked back at Tang was any indication, she'd found his reply to be anything but satisfactory. She wasn't keen on the idea of getting stung again, but the idea of letting her new 'charge' have some sort of hold over her behavior due to the possible threat of said fins was something she found intolerable.
Filing away the fact that shaking hands was apparently acceptable, even when other forms of 'touch' might not be, Tang was already half-listening to the continued exchange between Ki and Kyou. When Lazarus withdrew his hand once again, Tang released his grip on it almost absent-mindedly--he might not have come into being with as much of an understanding as some, but he was doing his best to absorb, and memorize, as much as possible about this place, and how to behave, as quickly as he could.
Mention of his fins caught his attention, prompting him to c**k his head slightly to the side, riveted. It hadn't even occurred to him that they were anything other than decoration--after all, thus far he'd had no reason to find out if they were or not...however, if they were venemous, they were full of all sorts of potential...
Noticing the look of interest no the raevan's face, Ki cleared her throat. Time to move onto a different subject, so as to not give him any ideas.
"Is there any sort of paperwork, or anything like that, that I need to fill out?" She hoped not, since paperwork usually involved her lying, which meant she had to keep it all straight--and in a case like this, where it was likely to be a relatively long-term project, the odds of things getting sticky were that much higher.
Shooting a smug look at Ki, Oberon allowed himself to be settled, although he usually objected to being restrained, or otherwise prevented from doing...whatever he happened to feel like doing. Panting contentedly, he went back to looking around the lobby, pointed ears flicking this way and that.
