The male could sense her joy as well as the pride that swelled within her. He didn't know what brought it about though suspected something along the lines of her eagerness to visit the secret which she was so generously bringing the male. He wondered silently to himself if she was the only one to know of this little area and if he was so privileged to be the first she brought here.

Watching her he gave a nod, accepting her proposition and carefully started to trot forward before pausing, allowing the girl to take the lead. "Of course," he answered, expressing his own eagerness.

"Follow me," She said, before she turned and was off like a lightening bolt. She loved to run, and the wind through her fur was enough to make the young she-wolf dance for joy.

She turned, looking behind her toi make sure he was still there, and she slowed her pace slightly, not wanting to lose him too soon.

"Its a good run away, but its a relaxing run, ya know?"
She called, as she leapt over a fallen tree trunk, her legscurled to her chest and stomach.
She was graceful, skilled, and seemed to know exactly where she was going.

As the young she-wolf pranced forward, the male immediately took flight, keeping in pace just a few steps behind her. She was fast, but Gren's long strides allowed him to keep in line nicely. He heard her words and nodded slightly, "I can see why." Gren nearly ran into the trunk, having not noticed it was there in the sudden darkness, but noticed the female's lithe body soar over elegantly, alerting him to the fallen tree. Pulling back on his hind legs, he sprung swiftly before landing again with his tail high in the air.

Gren followed, not knowing the path which she took. Usually he didn't break into a full run because he didn't know the geography of a certain area, but he felt comfortable to do so as Shezaam led.

The giant rock on the outside of two trees, that created a form of gateway, alerted her that hse had arrived to her secret haven.
She looked behind her, happy to se the male hadnt gotten lost, or fallen behind.

"We're here!"
She said as she slowed to a stop, looking into his grey eyes.

"This has gotta stay between you and me."
She said smiling.
"Otherwise it would be all over the place and no one would ever be gone."

She turned, and faced back towards the gateway, and trotted through.

The willow trees hung over a smaller waterfall that had led away in smaller stream.
The butterflies danced around the rose bushes, and the sun beamed its rays from an opening in the trees.

"This is it."
She said proudly.

The dark featured male slowed with her pace, watching the spaces ahead, observing the interesting entrance with a slight fascination. Though it was a natural gate, it reminded him of the human contraptions littered about the free lands. Lifting his tail slightly, the tip hung, while the rest balanced in interest, while his head moved to observe. Hearing her words he gave a nod, vowing secrecy. "I won't tell anyone," he promised, and bowed his head to seal the deal.

Those fascinated specks traveled about, never ceasing their movement as he followed after her with a slow gait. The little piece of paradise the she-wolf had found was spectacular, gorgeous to say the least, and Gren understood why it was such a treasure to her. "It's amazing...how did you find this place?" he murmured, not wishing to disturb the serene atmosphere.

She smiled, hearing the awe in his voice. It was indeed how she had felt when she had found it.

"I was running from my mother one day, after she yelled that I was too weak to be her daughter. I kept running, until I couldnt run anymore, and when I looked up, I was here."

She smiled.

"I took great focus on the surroundings so I could find it again."

She supposed it was just luck, but she loved this place morethan anything in the world.

He listened to her words as he gazed about the area, moving slowly as to observe everything he possibly could. His gray laced paws carried him slowly forward while the white orbs darted about. Glancing back toward Shezaam, he grew curious about the female. "I can imagine your mother is tough...or this is what I presume from what I've heard of your pack. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of relationships do you have with your family?" he asked candidly, but a note of respect still hung in the air. Gren didn't want to pry into something the teen wasn't willing to discuss.

She sounded so proud of her family name, he just couldn't help but be curious as to what it was like living in the infamous pack.

She smiled and gave a bitter laugh gently.

"My mother is the meaning of tough."
She said with a nod.

He was not intruding asking about her life..She wished she had somewhere to share it with more often. She always kept things inside, and it could hurt the young she-wolf's heart for days to come, rather than just the one day.

"My father is a gentle being, though he's tough when he needs to be. But my mother has her hold on him, as most females do their mates. She leads the pack, not him. He's a follower like any of us."
She smiled.
"He's a good guy."
But her smile stopped, and she looked somewhat sad.

"Mother had six pups. Tempeste, Hurricane, Idogbe, Tsunami, Tornado and me. Yet, all but one of us are failures, doomed to forever be nothing to her. Tempeste is dead, Hurricane is leaving for another pack, Tornado has been banished, Tsunami is all but lame, and Im weak."

She looked into Grens eyes, the hurt on hers.
"Idogbe is my favorite brother..And hes her favorite too."

She looked at the small waterfall, and walked closer to it, leaving the conversation, though still open to talk about it.

Staring at her reflection she spoke again.
"She says all our issues are the bad genes in my father."

All the while she spoke, Grencia listened to every word, but not those just spoken, but also the way they were said, catching onto the female's uncertainty and the anxiety she held. He paid attention, understanding her dilemma to the best extent he could. Gren was curious about one thing, as he observed, "Will you stay with the pack once you're an adult?" he wondered, "Do you want to stay with your family or move out on your own?"

He could understand both options.

"You're a bright young lady, do you want to stay here and prove your mother wrong? It sounds as though she's very critical of you and your siblings, with the exception of one, and if that's the case, I wouldn't let her words rule me. If she can't be happy with her own children then it isn't your fault." He paused for a second to recalculate his words. "And I doubt there is such a thing as bad genes when it comes to personality. Your father sound like a good person...and if it makes you weak to be like him then perhaps you're stronger in a different way. Maybe being like your father is more valuable. It all depends on how you look at it."

Never in her seasons of life had anyone put it that way to the she-wolf.
His advice, almost gave her peace.. As she smiled, and perked her ears.

"Do you really think so?"
She asked, needing to knowhe wasnt just saying that to make her feel better, though it seemed like he was being honest.

"My father is a good, brave wolf..Whose circumstances in life have made him extremely vulnerable."
She sighed, but she was so much happier with that explaintion.

Did she want to go back to the pack? Or did she want to leave forever, proving her mother dead wrong?

"Im not sure. It depends on how life goes. I mean, if I find someone who takes me away frmo the pack..Then yes, I'd leave.. But it would take something serious..Because its still my family."

The wolf listened while his eyes traveled over the small waterfall, taking in its beauty as it reflected off his colorless orbs. He flicked his ears, taking in the sounds of the surrounding area while still focusing on Shezaam's comments and reply. He understood why she would have to wait and agreed it would probably be best to stick it out with her family at least for a little while longer. Being still an adolescent, he was sure life out in the wild would be tough for her and anyone her age.

"I do think so, or I wouldn't have said it," he smiled slightly and bowed his head in thought. "I do hope you find what you're looking for and know where you should be. I wish you the best of luck with your future...as well as your family." His eyes returned to Shezaam wondering silently just how much longer he could stay here. It was a peaceful area and one they presumed were the only ones to know about, but he felt unsure and didn't want to linger much longer in the pack lands of a notoriously dangerous pack.

She caught his reluctance, however.. and her smile came back once more.

"Im sorry to burden you my friend.. I thank you for your words though."
She stood, and wagged her tail, nosing his cheek, and rubbing along his neck.
It was a respect thing, and she smiled back at him.

"You are a good friend, Gren."
Her tail wagged,and she smiled.

"But you looklike you're starting to get antsy."

And she knew that her parents would go looking for her soon..Not a good thing to have them do..they had horrid tempers with that.

He gave a swift smile before glancing out about the area, taking it in one last time before flitting his eyes back to the female. "I suppose I am," he murmured in a happy sad voice. He was reluctant to leave, after all, after just finding a friend as well as paradise anyone in their right mind wouldn't have wanted to leave, however, Gren's life was worth more to him then risking it at the moment. Perhaps they would meet again someday. In fact, Gren made it a point to meet the female once more, in adulthood, to see how she was fairing with life and the many things it entailed.

"I should be going...staying here longer could not only cause myself trouble, but you as well, and I don't want that," Gren said honestly. His tail hung between his legs limp, not wanting to wag during their parting. With a slow motion, he turned to face the opposite direction, the way they had traveled, and turned his head over his shoulder to continue to face Shezaam. "I promise I'll visit soon." He padded a few feet away before stopping and once more looking back, "I wish you luck with your family...keep safe."

She gave a smile, and though she was unwilling for him to leave, she allowed it, and was still quite cheery.
She wagged her tail, giving a good nod.

"Oh yes, do go before you get into trouble.. Ill be fine, father is quite easy to manage."
She smiled and gave him a bark of goodbye.

"Dont forget me! Come back soon!"
She said, watching him vanish into the shadows.
She had made a true friend, and she'd never forget him.
