Pocket Lint wagged her tail slightly at the affection and smiled sweetly to Sweet. Her pale gray-blue eyes looked up to him with no fear behind them. She nodded her head. The mare thought about something other than the subject of mating.
She looked to Sweet curiously. "H-how is S-sweet's family?" She asked, wondering how Ranulf and their mommy were doing. She thought of them as a second family to her own. She envied their close-knitfamily, or what seemed to be close-knit. Her family seemed to hardly gather together, or they were hard to find. She usually only saw Frilly around, but not much of her mommy, daddy or her sister.

Sweet, glad for the change in subject, let out a breath. He smiled and said, "They're good. Mom's as much of a spaz as ever, dad's just as righteous. And Ranulf is just as innocent. If not they've escalated in thier ways. Mom's harrassing dad about more baskets. He doesn't seem to keen in the idea from what I've seen." He omitted the tragedy everyone seemed to blame him for. No need to worry the mare.
"And what of yours? Heard anything?"

Pocket Lint just smiled, hearing about his family. "R-really?" She asked, hearing the last part about his mother wanting more baskets. "D-do you want m-more siblings?" She asked curiously. The mare tried to think if she wanted more siblings or how she left about Sweet's family getting more baskets. Would any of them fall into her care or would she be a good rolemodel?
The mare looked at Sweet with a confused look. "W-why wouldn't your d-daddy want m-more baskets?" She asked. Of course, she really didn't know how baskets were made or the responsibility behind them. "S-sweet and R-ranulf are good boys." She nodded with a soft smile.
As soon as she heard a question directed to her, her gaze fell to the ground. "I h-haven't heard much, e-especially about m-my mommy or m-my sister." She paused, looking at a close flower. "I o-only really talk to m-my brother." She said softly.

Sweet smiled. "Of course I want more siblings. I would love a big family. But at the same time... I kinda don't. It's complicated even for me." He shook his head, as if erasing thr thought. He really didn't want to have to raise the basket, since he was old enough to babysit now. He knew he'd be a horrible part/gaurdian/rolemodel.
Sweet smiled again, this time at Pocket's innocents. "I don't think he want's to feel too old. I mean, one set of children... he fairly young. But two and he's getting up there. Then his kids start havign kids and he may very well drop dead of feeling old." He smiled and thought some more. "Though mom would go insane if she had grandkids. We may never see our foals, mom would highjack them!"
But his smile faded at her last comment. His family, though it had it's drama, was very close. He was truly blessed to have such a family. "I'm sorry. I wish I could help."

Pocket Lint smiled, but her smile faltered a bit after hearing have mixed feelings about having siblings. "W-why is it com-complicated?" She asked, trying to see what was wrong. He seemed upset to her, so she moved to nuzzle him. Her eyes were drawn to him, trying to read what he was thinking.
The usdia mare just looked at Sweet with a confused look. Her brows furrowed together for a moment as she thought about it. "Well, I'm s-sure if he d-did have g-grandbabies, they'd be all h-happy to see him and be h-happy they still have him." She smiled and nodded at the logic. "I d-don't think having l-lots of c-children ne-necessarily means your old." She said with a giggle. "B-but I guess b-being a g-granddaddy can m-make you feel old." She said.
Sweet's last statement made her giggle. Although, her ears seemed to catch "our foals". This made her go quiet a bit, not sure what to say to that. "I-I'm sure s-she'd just l-like to spoil them like a-any other grandparent." She nodded, not knowing how her parents would feel about any other siblings having children. But it didn't seem like any of them were heading in that direction quite yet, as far as she knew.
She looked up to him again, seeing his smile go away. The mare just shook her head, smiling up to him. "Y-you do help." She said quietly. "Y-your my f-friend and I c-could ask for nothing more." She said reassuringly as she nuzzled him.

[she's sweet!] Sweet smiled and nuzzled her back. "I'm not sure what dad's mentality there is. Nor am I quite sure about mine. But I know mom's. Her parents were killed when she was a foal. So she wants to have a big family. And she wants to love them entirly until her end of days. Just as her parents did. She was also an only child. She saw it as lonley. She'd never want us lonley, so she wants siblings for us. she also think a little sister would be good for me. I'd like a little sister... but a brother may turn atou like me and that'd just be awuful." He smiled weakly, chuckling at the thought.
He nodded. "Yeah, mom would be the doting grandma type. Right after she got over feeling young. Dad would faint. Just like he did when we were born and just like he did when we grew into foals and just like he did when we grew into adults. My father is not the most stable stallion. Don't get me wrong, I love him, but really, have a back bone," he only teased his last comments.
"And I'm glad I could help. I'm also glad to be considered so close to you." He leaned forward and gently licked her cheek, just like when they were foals. "it's good to see you again.

Pocket Lint just listened and started to frown. The mare stayed close to the stallion in attempt to comfort him. Her attention was kept on him as he spoke. "I-I'm sorry about y-your mother." She said softly. "It m-makes sense." She said, nodding. Although, what he said about how he felt made him confused. "Why d-do you think a b-brother turning out l-like you w-would be b-bad?" She asked, frowning at his statement. "Sweet is good." She stated, firmly believing it.
The mare just giggled, hearing how silly his father seemed. "I g-guess that m-might have an affect on h-his health if h-he faints that much." She said with an amused smile. "B-but I t-think it won't h-harm him that much, even after a f-few more b-batches of kids."
She watched Sweet as he leaned forward to lick her cheek. She blushed, shyly shifting her head away in embarrassment. Her heart was racing oddly, and it wasn't the scared-nervous feeling she would get when her heart raced. It took her the extra effort to speak correctly. "I-I-I'm h-happy I f-f-found y-you a-again." She grumbled, shyly glancing up to him then to a pretty flower.

Sweet shook his head. "I'm over-emotional, impulsive, defensive, and mean when I want to be. I don't think my mother could handel more than one of me." His smiled faltered, but, if only for Pockets sake, he pulled her back.
He even chuckled at her alst comment. "I should hope not! I don't know what I would do without my father! And who knows, a little filly may do him some good. God know he needs it." He cocked his head to the side at the thought of his father raising a girl. it made my chuckle.
Sweet blushed as she turned away, but he felt oddly at ease that he could make her feel so shy. It didn't seem like a sad or scared shy. More like a happy shy, if that made sense. He felt it too, though he hid it well.

Pocket Lint blinked and just thought about his answer for a moment. "E-everyone has t-their bad side." She said softly. "I t-think your j-just over analysizing y-yourself." The mare tried to make it into a positive. "I t-think that e-even if your s-siblings have y-you as a r-rolemodel, they m-might not even t-take after you." She said. "E-everyone t-turns out differently. L-look at all of m-my siblings a-and m-me." She used as an example. "M-my b-brother is p-protective, m-my sister is a d-diva, and I-I'm n-nervous." She said. "N-none of us r-really took a-after our m-mommy or d-daddy, I t-think."
The mare giggled a bit. "H-how much g-good could a f-filly do?" She asked, not sure what he had in mind. "M-my daddy g-got two, b-but I don't see a d-difference." She said, only seeing trouble between her daddy and her brother.
As soon as the usdia mare's blush faded away, her gaze still faultered away from Sweet. She got up on her hooves and stretched her legs out a bit from sitting. She really didn't understand the feelings she would get around Sweet, it didn't really make sense to her.

Sweet smiled. "Thanks, Pocket." But he still wasn't so sure of himself. Pocket was so sweet to think so highly of him.
"I think a filly would calm him down a little. I little girl to look after him the way mom does. He's always getting tangled in his mane, and since Ranulf has the same issue he can't help. Mom and I have shorter manes, so we have to help them. A filly would be a big help."

Pocket Lint just smiled to Sweet. She happy to be helpful to him. "Y-your welcome." She said softly. As she stood up, she took a look around, but kept most of her attention on Sweet.
The mare just giggled. "Ooh. I s-see now!" She smiled, wagging her tail. "Your p-poor d-daddy. Poor R-Ranulf." She said, trying to imagine how hard that must be to maintain their mane. Her mane was hard to deal with, especially after getting tousled around so much. Her human would usually be the one untangling and re-braiding a hair, not that she mind.

"It's really quite funny," he chuckled as he nestled down further into the grasses. "Mother thinks so too." He looked up at her and cleared his throat. "I can't imagine your mane being unruly," he spat without thinking. well... he was thinking... just about how soft her mane might feeel.

Pocket Lint tilted her head. "F-find it f-funny that your d-daddy and Ranulf get t-tangled in t-their mane?" She asked. The mare thought about it, and thought it could be a little funny but not so much because those tangles can hurt! "But, d-don't you get t-tangles in your hair too?" She asked. The mare blushed prettily before smiling lightly. "It c-can when I s-sleep because I roll a lot, or my b-braids can g-get loose, or g-get tangled with the r-rest of my m-mane."

Sweet nodded. "It's just becasue they look so ridiculous when it happened." He thought for a second about Pockets question and shook her head. He could never remember having terrible tangles in his mane. "No, I don't think I ever have. One of our two leggers takes good care of our grooming." He smiled, chuckling at the mental picture of Pocket on her back like her mother did wiggling when her back itched. It was rather amusing.

Pocket Lint blinked and smiled lightly. "Oh? W-what happened exactly?" She asked, curious to what ended up in a tangled mess. The mare nodded. "R-really?" She giggled, kind of wondering how he would react if he got a tangle in his mane. "T-that's helpful. M-my human t-takes care of my mane t-too since I d-don't think anyone can b-braid with their m-mouths or h-hooves." She kind of giggled at the thought of that, but would be amazed if she ever met a soquili that could braid. Her ears perked up, hearing Sweet chuckle and looked to him curiously.
