"Oooh..." Zazel had no idea what being vampiric meant, however, as she'd never come across the idea, "Uhm...." The femme stepped away awkwardly, annoyed with herself for not know what the other meant. She could tell something was up and knowing what it was like to be an outsider, wanted to at least seem to know how the other felt.
"What's vampiric?"

Hm? Celes stood as well, curiousity perked at why Zazel would edge away. Did she not like that bit of information shared? Either way, it was truly odd to see the stronger Zazel looking baffled. "Oh, sorry, I should probably explain it better." Not all knew about different species afterall, at least that's what her parents had said.
"Us twins are known as vampires, to put it simply. And as far as I know, it means we have to have...blood to survive. And that's why Youou hangs are this new kitsu so much. He has the 'flavor' that he needs." Celes flushed, finding it all very weird and invading indeed. "But look, while talking I've found what you need." She pointed just passed Zazel's shoulder, spotting the white puff of a dandelion.

Zazel blinked, "Flavour...?" Briefly, she wondered what flavour Celes would need. "Can he only... take blood from that one?" Turning as the other spoke, the demon immediately stuck her face in the puffball and inhaled. But to no avail. Grumbling as she turned back to Celes, Zazel worked at batting the little seeds away.
One caught in her nose however and she screwed it up as it tickled, "What abou- ACHOO!" Sneezing forcefully, her 'demonic' form faded away to leave her normal tanned colours. As the glow faded, she shook her head and finished her sentence, "t'you? Have you found your flavour?"
The transition seemed more natural now, less angry and she fought it less. Apparently Zazel was slowly coming to accept herself.

Paws lifted in what could be taken as a shrug. "That's the only way I can explain it; as a flavor. And as for now, Youou is positive and stubborn that his blood is the only one he'd try." It may be correct or incorrect though, she wasn't certain. Apparently it varied for each different kitsu.
She watched in silence as the blonde trotted off to the plant and took a large sniff. It took a moment, but as Zazel turned disgruntled so did her nose, and a sneeze soon shook out. Eyes took in the de-transforming, noting how the sickly green hues and glow melted away to her normal sandy color. Celes congratulated her with a round of clapping before canting her head in question.
"My flavor? No, I haven't even been hit by the craving yet. Besides, it'd be a burden for the prey, yes?" She quirked her brows as she smiled lightly. Just who was she to bite strangers and judge how good blood tasted? So long as she avoided such quests, she believed she could like without such details.

Zazel shrugged, "I don't think so. Not if the 'prey' accepted who and what you are." Smiling she sat on her haunches, "Besides, s'not like I would complain. You're my... friend. Aren't those supposed to be there like that?" The femme paused as she thought about it.
"If you do get struck by the craving... I'd repay my debt to you." She was serious and frank, struggling with how to phrase her willingness to stand by the other if only in thanks for Celes doing the very same for her.

"Eh? I suppose so. He's sure accepting, maybe too much." Jelous much? Celes never knew of such an emotion, but could be certain that's what bothered her now. Glinted eyes narrowed slightly in her thoughts though politeness made her tuck them back in the presence of Zazel. Her mind...faultered for a split second, before she beamed happily and wagged her tails in effort to keep from glomping the femme. "You are my friend! Really? I knew there was a soft side behind that tomboy front! Of at least I was so hopeful of it but now it came true and..."
The girl clamped her mouth shut from ranting, hoping she wasn't annoying the other. "Sorry about that." A soft smile was given as she shook her head. "You have no debt to me, why would you think that? Besides, I'd rather stay hungry than bite a friend."

Zazel couldn't stiffle the chuckle. Sounded like someone was jealous. The demon arched a brow at the clearly excited Celes and shook her head, scoffing, "No soft side, I assure you. Make no mention of it." Still, the other's enthusiam was infectious and Zazel grinned as she spoke, making it entirely possible she was only putting on a front and wasn't totally serious.
"I do have a debt. You... didn't run when everyone else did." She batted the dandelion stem that Celes has earlier discarded back up at the vampire, "Helped even though I told you I didn't want it. That's a debt." Another low chuckle, "Bah. You couldn't hurt me. Takes more then that to bring me down." Puffing up, she squared her shoulders as though showing off, "Dare you to try it." Another devilish grin.

Suuure. So said her twin and father on the same topic. Why was everyone so stubborn about being nice? Was it that hard to do? Celes would never understand it. Using three tails for balance, Celes sat upright on her haunches while listening to Zazel's perspective on things. Would it be bad to point out she did run just moments ago? She could still feel the echo of quivers in her knees from the action.
"Nooo, that's just being annoying." She giggled at the logic, never once thinking of it as an owed trade between them. Golden eyes slanted to side glance the blonde as a dare was issued, Celes perking ears playfully. "I can take you down easily!" And she crouched forward teasingly, thinking the other was up for games of tackling and pouncing.

Zazel blinked then cocked her head to the side, emerald eyes glittering in the light, "Annoying? Isn't that supposed to be your job?" Smirking, she dipped into a play bow as well, "Then prove it!"
Grinning, the demon's tails swished in anticipation. She hadn't thought she'd enjoy another's company as much as she was Celes'. Such an odd thing, to be happy.

Cheeks puffed out in imitation of being offended. "I am not annoying! I'm cute! 83" She blew at her bothersome hair as it strung across her face. But wait a moment...
"Oops, hold on." She shuffled as she removed her long coat. It was too much a hassle to go rough housing with. Getting it dirty or shred, either way wasn't something she wanted to do. Folding it out of the way, Celes acted distracted with her little pause. Setting down the cloth and patting it lightly, she glanced secretly at Zazel and her poise. That would do...now! Pouncing, the pale kitsu yipped as she swipped the air with her paws, small claws withdrawn of course. "Take that, and that!"

"How about settling for both?" She quipped, sticking her tongue out in mock irritation.
Shuffling about with a huff, Zazel drew nearer to where Celes was and frowned, "Are you go- Hey!!" Yipping as the vampire swiped at the air, she growled competitively after the first hit and countered the second swipe, looming in to send her own strikes at Celes. "Have to do better then thaaat!"

"Cause then I'd be like mother. Ha!" Celes swiped the air in random sweeps. The only play fights she'd have were with her siblings, so of course they were sloppy. And she'd never had one on one lessons of fighting with her ninja father.

The kitsu jumped back a pace as Zazel blocked own of her wild paws. She was good to have made contact with one of those random blurs of attacks. Or Celes was just that bad. "Nyah, what else can I do without hurting you?" The point of a fight going over the girl's head in quest of keeping each other safe. Constantly tripping over white tails, Celes was becoming more passive in her moves as Zazel lurked nearer between their play.

"Told you, you can't hurt me." Zazel retorted, pressing further until she jumped the other and tried to bear her to the ground to pin her once more, gnawing on an ear, "Don't be such so soft, Celes." Grinning, she stood before the other and turned her head to the side, winking, "Told you you couldn't hurt me."
For a moment, she stood there, pondering. She was curious about this whole vampire thing... And since Celes really couldn't hurt her, Zazel cleared her throat as she settled more closely to the other, "Are you hungry...? What's it like?"

"Eeep!" Celes fell over backwards, wincing as the weight of the other toppled over her. She managed one good roll, flailing as she went, before her energy expired and she flopped to the ground in defeat. "No fair! You know that's not fair." How? Just because she said so. The kitsu grumbled as the victor chewed at her ear and she batted Zazel with her white tails in retort.
Some of the weight lifted, allowing Celes wriggle room and to rest on her elbows. It was now she was glad she didn't wear her clean coat. A pout formed to the other's bragging. "I so too can beat you...just another day." Ears hung, thinking they'd be bit again, only to receive a question. Hungry? Oh..
"No, I'm not. And I already told you that I don't know."

Zazel winced at that. Oops. "Another day, yeah. Keep trying!" Laughing awkwardly, the demon shuffled away a little to give the other space. "Sorry..." It was the first time she'd apologized for anything and it came out quietly. The femme had little idea how to handle such situations and so she just backed off with a slightly sour look on her face.
Backing further away, it almost appeared as though she were thinking of bolting. Anxiously, she scuffed her feet.
