Taelia nodded, "Will do!" It had been years since she had climbed a tree, but she remembered the basics. She slowly but surely climbed up the tree, the squirrel leaping away from her and chattering angrily.
Riku smiled at Rein's words, not really understanding them, but her tone was kind. He decided he liked meeting new people. He made a cute noise, trying to talk to her as well.
Taelia continued making her way up the tree, making sure to test every branch before actually putting her full weight on it. This was going good so far!

"You're almost there!" Rein cheered happily. Hearing Riku make those cute noises again, she couldn't help but 'aww' and coo at the baby in her arms. "You're so cute!"
"Hmph..." Lucy snorted and then watched as Taelia continued to grow ever so close to her treasured toy. "Don't fall." She called out. Though, it may sound rude and mean, Lucy wasn't the greatest at comforting and cheering people on. However, that was the best she could do in looking after someone.
"Lucy!" Rein scolded again.
And the toddler would endure the scolding to whatever extent...At least that way, she can get some of Rein's attention.

Taelia smiled, "That's great!" It was hard to tell how close she was getting, everything looked all leafy and green and the same. But, now that they mentioned it, the branches were getting smaller.
Riku smiled again, loving all the attention. He snuggled up to Rein, still making happy noises. He was completely unaware that he was taking attention away from Lucy.
Taelia finally found the plush critter and she grabbed it tightly, taking care to not tear it or smash it. When it finally was free, she held it close, and made her way down, even slower than how she went up. It'd be harder with only one hand free.

Lucy's eyes widened with delight now that her toy was in safe hands. However, she did notice that Taelia was now having slight trouble getting down. "You can drop it...I'll catch it"
Though, Rein didn't really want to pull her attention away from the boy, she looked over towards Lucy and frowned. "I don't think that's a good idea..." Though her opinion seemed to fall upon deaf ears,
"It'll be faster..." Lucy simply stated. "Besides, then Miss Taelia would be able to get down safer too..." Of course, the last statement had been muttered under a low breath.

Taelia paused at Lucy's suggestion, it would be easier to climb down without carrying the plushie. But, would it really be okay to drop it?... Lucy insisted that she drop it again, even though Rein didn't seem to like it. "It's okay, it'll be easier if I have both my hands free."
She leaned her arm out as far as possible, while still safely in the tree. "Come underneath it, so you can catch it better." She didn't want the plushie to hit the ground and be dirty.
Riku blew a few spit bubbles and burbled happily.

Lucy paused for a moment. She could either let go of Rein's arm and save her plushie. Or she can still manage to save whatever attention from Rein that wasn't being given to Riku. In the end...she chose the plushie. Lucy wouldn't dare have her treasure dirty. It had been through enough today. Slowly and carefully, she slowly walked over towards the tree until she was directly under Taelia. Holding her hands out, she was prepared to catch it.
"Okay, you can let go!"
Rein sighed and shook her head a little. She looked back at Riku and chuckled lightly again. "Hey now, you'll get messy!" The woman says in a rather motherly tone. She shifted him around so Rein could hold the boy in one arm while she reached into her purse to see if she had any tissue to wipe the saliva off.
When she did manage to find some, she gently dabbed the tissue around around Riku's mouth to clean him up a little bit.

Taelia watched Lucy and when the girl said she was ready, she nodded, "Okay, here it comes!" She moved her arm as low as she could get it, then let go of the plushie, hoping it would reach its owner safely. She grabbed back onto the tree, and continued watching until it reached either Lucy or the ground.
Riku blinked, not knowing what she was saying, but in his confusion, he stopped blowing bubbles. When Rein wiped his face, he giggled because the tissue tickled.

As the plushie fell down to the ground, it had managed to slip through the gap between lucy's hands. But before the stuffed animal could hit the floor, her vectors immediately grabbed onto it and pulled it safely back into Lucy's arms.
Now that her plushie was secured, the pink-haired girl backed away from the tree and held it up for Taelia to see. "Thank you. You can come down now!" Lucy says and smiles happily for the first time in a long while.
Rein sighed with relief for what it seemed like the hundredth time today. It seemed that Lucy was only being grumpy without her toy. "Okay, Riku. Your mommy is coming down soon now~!" Rein says. Although, inwardly, she felt saddened to let the child go. It seemed necessary though. The look that Lucy was sending her way, made the woman rather nervous.

Taelia gave a gasp as it looked like the toy was going to fall. But, it was saved by something that looked odd. Was the girl the cause of the ghosts that were causing so much panic? Interesting... If the girl had powers, would Riku have some as well? She wondered what his would be, if he had some.
She nodded and smiled, "You're welcome, Lucy!" Now that the toy was safe and sound, she started on her way back down, much quicker with both her hands free.
Taelia reached the bottom, "There we go!" She was glad it was a success.
Riku made a happy burbling noise, not sure what Rein was saying, but her tone was exciting!

Rein smiled happily as she made her way over towards Taelia. "I happy to see that you made it down safely! Thank you again for your help! I'd probably still be...well...busy hugging the tree while possibly crying if you hadn't offered to help out!" She gently held Riku out towards the woman.
"He's a very sweet boy~! It was fun looking after him for a while!"
Once Rein's arm were free, Lucy quickly locked one arm around Rein's. "I'm hungry~!" She complained. "I wanna eat somethin'!"
"Alright, alright. I guess all the excitement must have left you hungry...!" Rein says and gently petted the girl, who grumbled slightly knowing that she'd have to fix her hat afterwards. "Taelia, would you and Riku like to accompany us? It will be my treat as thanks for saving Lucy's plushie!"

Taelia smiled, "Thanks so much! You are welcome, it's no trouble at all!" She gave a friendly laugh, "Well, I'm glad I came along and was able to help then!
Riku saw his mom and laughed happily.
Taelia took him gently and hugged him close, "Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed spending time with him! Thank you for watching over him!"
She nodded, "Thanks so much, that sounds like fun! Though, you don't have to pay, I don't want to be trouble..." She hated mooching off other people, it seemed a bit rude.
Riku got caught up in the fun and bounced slightly, giggling.

"It's the least we could do. After all, we made you climb a tree to rescue a toy! I insist!" Rein pushed on. "There is a really nice cafe around here. They sell really good food and sweet desert!" Her gaze dropped down on Lucy. "Lucy and I go there sometimes after our trip to the park!"
Though, Said toddler had already wandered away from the group and was now waiting for the adults and Riku to finally join her. Despite being less grumpy, she was still an very impatient child.
The area around her had been packed with children, until the pink haired girl arrived. It seemed that they were afraid of her, or the toy, in her arms, that they thought was possessed.
Though, Rein didn't like it when other kids tend to avoid her. Lucy is a really nice girl deep down. But at times like these, she was a little happy for the child's cold exterior. That way, the woman wouldn't have to push through little kids and possibly trip over them and fall to her doom. Not to mention getting yelled at by the child's parent.
That wouldn't make her day any better.

Taelia laughed, "Well, okay, if you insist!" She thought it'd be rude to refuse now. Though, she planned on paying for the tip or something to help out. "That sounds great, I've not been there before! This will be fun!" She was looking forward to eating with the two, she usually ate alone.
Riku, feeling everyone excitement, giggled happily.

Once Rein had caught up with Lucy, she firmly gripped onto the child's hand so she couldn't wander far away. "Well then, I'll lead the way!" The woman says as the two exited the park. "It's not very far from here but the streets are very busy"
Lucy turned her head over towards Riku and tilted her head a little bit. Were babies always this cheery and happy? Since it wasn't long ago that she was still a baby, she had remembered what had happened in those days. The only time she was ever happy was when she had been with Sesshomaru.
The toddler was going to open her mouth to say something, but her direction was pulled away from Riku to the street in front of her. Obviously, when crossing a street, people should always look around. Otherwise, they ended up turning to road kill.

Taelia smiled and nodded, "Okay, thanks!" She walked along with Rein and Lucy, it'd be cool to go someplace new in town! She nodded, "Okay, we'll have to be careful then."
Riku was a pretty happy baby, he was loved and got attention. He had nothing to complain about.
Taelia saw Lucy look at Riku, she wondered if they'd get along when Riku was older.
She payed careful attention as everyone looked at the street, she didn't want to get hurt crossing the road.
