Brish cringed and shook her head, "I know too many Warriors who've been lost to those Twoleg monsters; they'd have to kill me, too, to get me inside one..."

"Humans killed them?" He suddenly turned very serious. "Let's go," he said determinedly. "We're finding this place you're from and those humans who hurt those 'Warriors'." He couldn't stand the thought of the injustice.

"Really?" Brish asked, her eyes widening in surprise and undesguised longing, "Th-thank you! But how are we going to get there without using those Twoleg Monsters?"

"I'll swim the whole way if I have to," he said impulsively. He then attempted to calm himself, knowing he couldn't really swim that far. It would make things harder since she wouldn't use the normal modes of overseas transportation. "We can build a raft," he said in more controlled tone.

"I suppose... Since we built it ourselves it wouldn't be like a Twoleg Monster exactly..." she said, her ears twitching as she thought it over. She could maybe go to Treasure since she had sailed before and might know a bit about boats, but then she would have to go through Chaos, who wasn't exactly feeling herself. And she didn't want to get so many Namrah involved in her dilema. So she sat lost in hers thoughts, her ears still twitching with indecision about even involving Oliver.

Oli tilted his head to the side slightly. "Deep in thought, huh? What's bothering you?" He almost placed a paw on her shoulder, but stopped, unsure how she would react.

"It's just... I can't ask you to help me, this is my problem," she said, "I must follow the Warrior Code, and usually outsiders make the Code fuzzy... I don't want to betray my Clan..." She stopped, unsure if this would insult him or not. It usually did to most outsiders she'd mentioned the Code to. She looked up, her eyes filled with determination, "But as a Warrior I cannot deny any help my Clan might need."
(Yeah, I can imagine him touching her and then she elbows him in the gut, flips him and sits on him with her claws scant inches from his neck before she realizes what she's doing xd )

Oli didn't understand anything about her Clan or their code...but he did understand determination, and he saw that clearly on her face. "I want to help. I want to help because that's what's right. If you really don't want me to help you, I won't force myself upon you. But I am willing to do whatever it takes."

Brightshadow blinked and looked at him, studying him hard. "You would make a good Warrior," she said finally, "I'm sure my Clan would be glad to have your assistance; Vinestar is a very understanding Leader."

He smiled, knowing that what she said was a true compliment. "I look forward to meeting Vinestar, then." He looked around, wondering where they should start. "We should find supplies if we're going to build something."

"I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with building a- what was it called again?" she asked, "What do we make it out of?" She was eager to get started, but she knew she wouldn't be of any help unless she knew what she was doing.

"A raft," he filled in. "Wood is best and there is a lot of it around." He looked at the surrounding trees. "We tie them together with rope. We'll also need a big cloth for a sail." He could easily just buy all the supplies, but he knew already that she wouldn't go for that. Not if it was something the 'Twolegs' made.

"A raft," she repeated, this time committing the word to memory, "Got it." She set about gathering as many vines as she could, weaving them together to make a flexible yet steardy rope. "Usually we weave brambles and gorse to make our dens more defendable and less appealing for wolves and foxes," she said as she worked, "But grapevines work especially well as rope, not that we'd really need it."

"Lucky we have grapes then, huh?" He began weaving the vines like she did. He was beginning admire her knowledge of the forest and everything natural. "Your dens, huh? Are they hard to make?"

"Not really," she said, "Usually we choose a camp that has most of what we need from it; a well-guarded place for the Nursery, a higher den for the Leader so they can call Clan meetings and such, and of course an Elders' den, and then the Warriors' den and their Apprentices' den, and you can't forget the Medicine cat's den, that's one of the most important. They need lots of storage places for their herbs and stuff. We have a nice little cliff to our back, with lots of brambles we've dragged in to the front. Our Elders' den is actually a really large dead tree that we dragged in from the forest; the roots were tangled and strong enough for us to pull them apart and then our Medicine cat went in and rearranged everything to make his den. Actually our old Eders' den was made of sandstone, but Lightfoot and Rockfoot kept complaining that it got weaker everytime it rained so Windstream and Wheatcloud with their need to compete over everything raced to see who could come up with a better den and while they were busy doing that Oakpelt found the tree and Brambleleaf, Pineclaw, and Bobtail hauled it in. They were so mad the senior Warriors beat them to it, and then they were even more mad when those three got Apprentices that Leaffall and they didn't..." She continued to babble on until she had a good amount of rope, trying to keep herself talking so the memories wouldn't make her do something weak. "I hope they're all alright," she whispered.
