Seeming relieved that he understood, she beamed at him, giving a little wag of her tails. "Alright! As long as one of them is home, it should be alright." At least one person in her family was nearly always home. Though if she could help it, she'd rather not tell Kitsumi. While she loved her 'sister' dearly, she didn't think Kitsumi would remember to pass on the message to the rest of the family. On the contrary, she'd probably forget completely and go outside to roll in the dirt or something, just for the heck of it.
"Alright." She chirped, landing on the ground. She waited patiently as Horus went into the house, drifting off into her own thoughts. 'The helmets...should be in the closet by the front door,' Kalliope thought, furrowing her brows, 'And I'll probably find whoever is home in the living room. I'll just tell them quickly about where we're going.'
She seemed satisfied with herself when her new friend came back out, and returned his grin with one of her own. "Yup! It's pretty close by, but we'll get their faster by flying anyways." She spread out her wings and looked at him, her eyes twinkling, "Think you can beat me there?" Kalliope challenged playfully.
Before even letting him answer, she laughed softly and took off. "Come on, now!"

He was up for the challenge. Of course he would beat her there! There was the pride of an adventurer he had to keep. If he weren't fast then he wouldn't be able to get past all the traps! There was no way he'd lose to her!
Orange-brown colored wings unfurled as he quickly made the flight after her. "I won't lose!" He yelled as he tried his best to fly faster than her. But he forgot he didn't know where her house was. He was too into the heat of the moment to realize this little fact would prove difficult to obtain his victory.

Her tail waving behind her, Kalliope giggled as Horus flew after her. "We'll see about that!" She called back, teasingly. She was already having fun, and they hadn't even begun their exploration of the cave yet! 'I can't wait,' She thought eagerly, making a small turn. It hadn't quite struck her yet that Horus didn't know where she lived.
Landing on the ground in front of her home, she sat down with a little grin, waiting for her new friend to show up. It was after a moment, did she realize that she hadn't actually told him where her home was.
Squeaking, her ears pinned back as she took flight again, this time backtracking. "Horus!"

It still hadn't struck him that he didn't know where she lived. He merely flew as fast as he could manage to in the general direction she was headed toward. The thought of obtaining victory was so close at hand. He would not let it slide by thinking of some "small technical details" such as not knowing the direction he was supposed to be headed in.
When she landed, he just kept flapping his wings, flying on ahead. He took it she was admiting defeat, not because they both didn't quite realize where he was going. "Aha! Victory!" He yelled triumphantly as he continued his way.

Hearing Horus's yell, Kalliope glanced up at him quickly, her ears flattening as she hurried to catch up with him. "Horus! Wrong way!" She called, hoping that the wind would happen to carry her voice toward him. "We've passed my home already!"
Oh, why didn't she think of telling him sooner?
The former prosecutor's ears pricked up as he caught a piece of someone yelling. 'That sounds somewhat like Kalliope.' He thought, frowning. Slipping out of the door, he looked up in time to see an angelic Kitsusagi whisk past, following by Kalliope.
"...What in the world is going on?" He muttered with a frown, suddenly wishing that he too had wings and could fly after them.

It didn't take long for her message to pass onto him through the wind. What held him up for so long was how long it took for him to register her words. Not too soon followed by that a series of emotions flushed through his mind. Embarassment, disappointment (in himself) and such emotions fought with one another in his mind.
He missed her house? Meaning he didn't know where he was going in the first place. Woops. Now he must seem like such a big fool in front of her! They were racing with one party not knowing which direction they were headed in. Why didn't he think of such an important thing before the excitment of beating her there rushed into his mind? It would help to know where his destination was.
The orange-brown and grayish colored male turned back the other way, a slight blush upon his face. He felt like a total idiot! What a way to make an impression to his partner.

Finally catching sight of Horus as he began to fly by, she nodded her head in the direction of her home. "This way!" She called. It was only a few seconds really, and then her house came in sight. Landing, she waited for her friend to follow, her ears pinned back.
The minute the other Kitsusagi was in earshot, she hung her head. "I'm sorry, Horus! I should have told you before I darted off!" Kalliope shuffled her feet, embarrassed. How could she have been so forgetful? "Looks like I wasted some adventuring time." She commented with a weak smile.
"Adventuring?" A voice suddenly piped up. Kalliope turned to see Edgeworth, and her face instantly lit up as she proceeded to explain what the angelic kitsusagis' plans were.
The male listened with a risen brow, but smiled after she was finished, her eyes glimmering in hope that he would let her go. "Go on then and have fun." He said, after a moment of silence, "I'll go inside and get you those helmets that you need."

When he softly landed next to her, he lifted a paw lightly over his head, scratching a little from the embarassment. A light hue of red rushed to his face, "Nono, it's my fault. I forgot to ask you where you lived. Too into the race." He laughed nervously.
"No worries though. Plenty o' time for adventure time and exploration! We won't go in too far since it's the first time." He nodded thoughtfully.

Seeming just as embarrassed, she grinned sheepishly. "That was a tie then, okay?" She made a mental note to be more careful - much more careful - next time. "It's good that you're okay!"
When she received the a-ok from Edgeworth, the angelic seem to beam, turning to grin at Horus. "First adventure! I guess that means we'll have more after?" She asked hopefully, just as Edgeworth came out with the helmets.
"Here, then." He said, holding them out to the pair, "Go on and have fun. Though be careful."

He grinned, "Ok. Tie it is then." At her second phrase he tilted his head slighty to the side, curious as to what she meant, "Why wouldn't I be ok?" He lightly pounded a paw against his chest, puffing it up with air, "I'm the great adventurer Horus!"
With a nod, he answered, "Of course we'll have more." He was feeling even more excited by the tone of her voice. She was a wise choice in a partner indeed! Her adventurous spirit was just what he was looking for.
