Stryder tried to comfort the young she-wolf. He pulled her in closer, tucking her head in. "Your sister?" Stryder asked. Didn't this come out because he asked about Schatze's adorning objects? Was this Nina a two-legger?

"Was... was she a two-legger? A dark one, perhaps? They're... very kind... They were to me," Stryder said. He nuzzled the back of Schatze's neck, trying to comfort her.

He nudged her, asking, "Whelps? Whelps that what? Why... why are you not with her? Why with this pack you're with?"

Stryder settled, laying his maw closer to hers. She was hurting... and since she hurt, he hurt. He wanted to help her, comfort her. But... she was so hurt.

"I... Why wouldn't she not recognize you?" He asked. "Did she not know you long? Or... did the two-leggers not like you? Or..." He trailed off. Why wouldn't the two-legger not recognize her?

As she calmed down, she grew more embarrassed than she had with the bush she had collided into. Here she was, breaking down and crying in front of a stranger. ;.;

She nodded. Jaeger had hit it dead on. "She was a native. 'Human' is what my pack calls them." she had seen the pale humans, and so far the only thing to come out of them was destruction - but the darker natives... seemed to be the complete opposite.

She was relieved to hear that Jaeger knew about them, and even had experience with them. For some reason it hadn't occurred to her that he would have had to have gotten his adornments from somewhere.

"We were given to each other before I could even see." she spoke, referring, of course, to a pup's blindness. "As my eyes opened, hers began to close... I think she was losing her sight, and I was meant to keep her happy and safe, to give her life meaning and help her live easier." she was nearly crying again. She missed Nina so much. They had gone through a lot together. Human pups, like wolf pups, grew up fast but lacked the quick instincts that kept them alive so easily on their own.

Nina had her pack, but she didn't have her wolf sister.

Stryder nuzzled Schatze, trying to comfort the young she-wolf. "Human.... I see."

So that was a term to call the two-leggers? Interesting... did it apply to the white ones too? Or was it this... native two legger?

The young one, Schatze's sister... losing sight? So she might have become blind, just like Venda? But... this sounded natural. As if this Nina's own eyes started to fade away, not like the violent stealing of Venda's eyesight.

"This Nina, you 'human' sister. She was so close to you... but why are you not with her now? Why are you with the pack by the ocean?" Stryder wanted to know, what caused this separation? Was it something horrible? Did Nina's family leave Schatze out? He nuzzled her again, and ran his paw down her back, trying to comfort her.

The position she had found herself in was very uncomfortable, physically. Emotionally, it was comforting, and it would have been nice to stay there for a long time...

"Oof." The sound barely came out as she let her body slump into a less stressful posture. She sighed at the questions, and set in to explain them as best she could with what she remembered. "We were playing in a thicket when the adult wolves came - a pair of them, the ones I call mom and dad now." her brows furrowed, and her ears fell back against her skull again.

"They chased Nina away and snapped me up, saying they were taking me 'home'. But.. but I WAS home. They took me away from home, if anything." she wasn't even really talking to Jaeger now, more -at- him, getting it out and trying to reason with the events.

"They took me to the ocean pack, and... while I love it there, I love my new family - I always have that need to go back and find her." She felt that if she never saw another wolf again, she would be happy if she just had Nina... but there was a tugging deep inside that she couldn't understand. In response, she leaned harder against Jaeger.

Stryder felt Schatze lean into him, and he helped try to put some force back but to show her that he was there and that he would comfort her. He wouldn't leave, and so Stryder also moved in, as in an embrace. At least she looked more comfortable in this position, as the other didn't look that good.

Stryder took in all the information Schatze was revealing about her life, storing it into his mind so he could realize it all fully. Information was never too much, or bad. And this was important, it was Schatze's history.

He tried to comfort her while she spoke, revealing her own mysteries of her life. This Nina was very important to Schatze. He wondered where Schatze's sister was, where this pack of native two-leggers were.

"This... your dad and mom... their pack... They don't like the two-leggers?" Stryder asked, "I'm sure that, in the future, you will be able to find Nina." If she wasn't dead, or or killed... especially without sight. These thoughts filtered through Stryder's mind, not saying anything along these thoughts to Schatze. Something like this could have happened... but he hoped that it hadn't... wouldn't... while Schatze searched.

"If... if my alpha agrees, and if you're allowed to... I could help you search? I seek information, and scout for anything for my alpha. If he agrees... maybe I could help you in your search?" Stryder wanted to get closer to Schatze, spend more time with her, and even more... help her. He wanted her happy, since he felt in his heart that if she was happy he would be happy. Maybe... maybe if she was discontent... and if Wraith was willing... she could join him in his pack?

This was very uncharacteristic of Schatze. Usually the teen was bounding around, playing and excited. Happy... she was happy.

But when she thought of Nina and how she had been separated with the human, she was far from ever being happy... she saw no point to life except finding the girl again.

"I don't know. I think they fear them, and honestly I don't fault them for that." she sighed, growing weary of the questioning suddenly. She would answer as many as he asked, but if she was just dwelling on it and not doing anything about it, it could get very tiring. "I hope so... someday." she tried not to be defeatist about it... someday she would find the girl.

She nodded. Help could always come in handy, especially if Jaeger knew of the humans, and had experienced how they acted and lived. "That would be nice." she smiled softly, then thought of something else.

"Maybe I could meet him?" she dared, continuing. "Maybe he would let me join you in the pack." she was fully prepared to prove herself to this alpha. She felt suddenly that there was no point in going back to a pack that made her feel so unhappy.

Stryder felt her discomfort, the wariness of his questions. He never really spoke or questioned so much... it was Schatze's effect maybe on him. He didn't want her to dwell on thoughts that would make her sad.

He smiled back at her when she smiled and blinked. That was something to ponder over. He didn't want to bring her too close to the den, it would harm the safety of the pack and his alpha but he also, for some reason, wanted to be closer to her. Stryder wanted to see Schatze join the pack.

Stryder nodded, replying, "If you follow me, we can run for a bit, towards the pack territory. I'm not sure how my alpha will appreciate you near the den so after awhile I will leave you alone. Follow me!"

Stryder led the way, at a fast but not too tiring pace towards the pack territory. He stopped, not quite close to the den but not too far away that Schatze would wait too long for him as he spoke with his Alpha. Turning to Schatze, he told her, "Please, wait here. I speak with my alpha now to see you." He left her with a soft, gentle touch and ran towards the direction of the den.

He approached his alpha. Cautiously, making sure his alpha knew where he was. At last, Stryder spoke, "Wraith, my alpha. I went to scout the surrounding territory and found a potential pack member. She is waiting outside of the territory."

The large wolf looked up, hearing Stryder's paws before he heard the words excitedly spoken. Laying tangled with a rather dark large antlers similar in shape to that of a roe deer, the male shifted, prying himself away from his favorite object, giving his full attention to the male as their eyes met and words were shared. A potential pack member? A soft interest entered him, especially sensing that Stryder was adamant about the prospect, even if he didn't express it through words Aguta could sense the attachment already growing. Who was he to separate the pair? Well...now that wasn't necessarily true. The alpha wanted his pack members to be productive, not a burden to the pack in any way possible, but if this female was cut out for Tomkin he would have no objections.

He stood fully erect, stretching slightly as his front legs moved forward but his hind stayed put until they followed lazily along with him. "Alright, Jaeger, show her to me," he instructed, moving past the cloaked wolf already headed toward the exit with calm ease. Surely if Stryder felt comfort in the wolf then perhaps they would be a good addition, but of course Stryder was new himself to the pack. All the same, Aguta trusted his judgment for the time being and was willing to speak with this female.

Stryder was apprehensive, he was new... would Aguta react well to Schatze? He was hopeful that the alpha would. He didn't want to step on Aguta's paws so to speak. He hoped Schatze was up for it, proving herself to the alpha.

Stryder nodded and turned in the direction Aguta was facing and passing him, "Follow me."

Stryder ran, not too fast as if he was pressured or in any desperation, but also not too slow. He didn't want to leave the teenage Schatze out too long. He spotted her and turned to Aguta saying, "There she is, Wraith."

Stryder moved quick, quickly moving to Schatze's side saying, "Schatze, this is my alpha." He nodded to her, hoping to convey his hope that she would prove herself to Aguta, before moving to stand behind his alpha.

She got up, following Jaeger easily. She trusted him, and felt deep in her heart that he wouldn't hurt her. "That's fine, I understand his feelings." she did, really. Loki, if she ever found outsiders on the packlands, would have them escorted by the bigger males of the pack back to the outside with gruffness and withheld anger. Loki was never really imposing - she was very small for an adult.

She nodded and was left. She kept standing, however, not wanting to seem lazy or sickly. There really was no need to sit now. By the time she saw Jaeger heading back towards her - with a very large male in tow - she hadn't felt that she had waited very long at all.

She gave a sort of bow to the alpha, saving a greeting to Jaeger for a bit later. The alpha was more important than anyone in a pack - and especially more important than an outsider. "My name is Schatze." she offered, though Jaeger had already told him that, she figured it was only polite to tell him herself.

Aguta followed Stryder with an easy gait, wondering who this she-wolf was and how she and Stryder had just met. He seemed taken with her...perhaps she was the same toward him. Upon coming up to the female, he observed her silently for a moment, noticing her young age, but the vigor in her soul as well. He shifted slightly, not taking up a dominant stance, but his head was up, set proud as he listened to Jaeger and Schatze.

As she bowed her head respectfully, he also gave a nod of greeting. "You are a companion of Jaeger's, Schatze?" he started, "I heard you would like to join the pack? Is this correct? What do you think you have to offer Tomkin?" Aguta finished with his questions and waited patiently for her reply, interested in seeing what she had to say. This situation reminded one of a teenager applying for a job and being interviewed by the manager.

Lifting her head from the bow, she took in the appearance of Jaeger's alpha. He was very interesting in appearance, like Jaeger was in his own way.

"I am, somewhat." she answered the first question and nodded at the second. "I am interested in joining your pack, sir." she paused, thinking a moment about the last question. What could she offer...

"I am a young and strong body capable of anything you could want. I'm willing to do anything needed, from defending the pack or hunting, to pupsitting or storytelling." She could tell some stories, too. Her early puphood had been spent with humans... and they ALWAYS made for good stories.

Augta listened to her patiently, taking in the words she had to offer him in reply to his questions. He noticed right off the respective tone in her voice, the Sir added into her statement, and the professional way with which she handled her words. He appreciated this and thought it admirable for one so you. His head titled slightly while he listened. Her abilities seemed well rounded.

She could provide for the pack as much as she was needed, but what struck him most was the storytelling option she brought up. A storyteller was essential for every pack, or so Aguta believed, and considering the pack was built on the foundation of stories he felt this was a good quality.
"Hmm...you sound talented," he muttered, "I'd like to hear some of your stories sometime." He looked to Stryder before returning his cold gaze back to the female observing her further. She seemed eager, genuine, and polite; a well rounded member to be brought up in the pack.

Not accepting her now would seem foolish. "Hmm...I trust Jaeger's judgment, and I think you would be a valuable addition to Tomkin. I'm also eager to see how someone so young will be brought up in the pack. Consider yourself accepted, Schatze." A small brief smile breached him. "Now we must consider an alias."

She smiled at his compliment, and bowed her head momentarily, smiling. "Thank you."

As he spoke again, she sat and listened. Her heart fluttered in her chest, but it wasn't so bad. It was scary - she had just left her home pack, but they were the same that caused her to have to leave her sister so long ago. It would all be fine in the end.

"An alias." she repeated, thinking it over. The idea was mysterious and, she felt, in these times warranted. She also felt that this should be up to either just Wraith, or possibly both of the males before her.

"It would be difficult to be objective and give myself an alias. Any name I could bestow on myself would be from the heart, and the heart oft gives a body away to the opposition." she explained, best she could, with that smile still in place.

Stryder moved forward, to address his alpha and Schatze. He had an idea. No reason from where this idea came from or how it related but he thought it sounded nice.

"May I make a suggestion?" Stryder asked. "How about Sunbird?"

He moved closer to Schatze, wanting to know her opinion but turned to Aguta, and asked, "What you think, Wraith?"
