"Mtima'safi is looking for her, she said she'd be able to find her," he hoped it was true, and that they'd be whole again it just wasn't right having Shemshi gone, he may have lost respect for Amadet, but he was Mommy and Mommy said protect the girls.
"I'm sure she'll be alright, back in the group in no time flat, right?" he beamed hesitantly trying to reassure Noki.

Noki realized just how much trust Pepo had actually put into the situation when he said that Mtima was looking for Shemshi. He wouldn't have let something like that happen, wouldn't give proper identification information, if he didn't trust her on some level. And she believed him to be a good judge of character, and as protective as he was.. she must have been convincing and kind to get that out of him. If anything, that bit of information earned the most confidence from Noki.
"Right," she agreed, sighing and finally smiling again.

The pale lion hadn't realized the weight of the news he was carrying, and once the burden was lifted-- being able to tell someone Pepo's eyes glazed over. He was with family finally, with Noki who was same old familiar Noki her name had not changed and the other girls were near.
Sighing he spoke, "Maybe we could nap before the others come to us? I've been running since the Queen sent me on my way." His orange eyes washed over his sister.
He realized he hadn't asked about the creature she mentioned, she trusted their judgment, had all of them met new creatures and lions? Did they have experiences he did not share. That was a startling thought in itself, he closed his eyes. One thought at a time, Wahabu..then...think about them being so different.

Noki smiled at him when he sighed, glad that they were all together again- except for Shemshi, of course, but there was hope. She might end up sent towards them, and that was better than nothing at all!
"Yeah," she agreed, "You deserve a rest, it's quite the run to get here. I'll show you where we've been staying, everyone will meet us back there by dark." With that, Noki turned around to lead the way. Her mind still went over the new information, but Pepo deserved a good rest and they could chat about it until their sisters returned- and then again with them.
