Kima saw the little pictures, and tried to follow suit. When Kima saw that she was finished with sand pictures, she also lay near her. The question that she asked was not something that she was accustomed to from her experiences. With her limited memory of the things that she liked, she remembered that Syd had always held her close to him, and one of the colors he liked was red, and so she chose that for her color.
"Red!" she exclaimed, unaware that Tirio had probably never seen something red in her life. "Favorite color?" She mirrored, asking Tirio the same question.
Syd's head then began to flood with all sorts of questions. The main one was quickly apparent: "How does one know they have a ToR?" of which Syd did pose to the woman sitting next to him.

Tiri shook her head and passed a hand across her eyes "no colour...no see" she kcrinkled her nose "purple feel nice though" she added as an after thought, yes purple sounded rich and pretty! She had just decided this and was quite proud of herself. She rolled over onto her stomach and rested her hands on her hands. She never seemed to sit still although her lack of sight meant that she couldn't move very far.
Eamane bit her lip. "i'm not sure... I found Tiri alone in the forest and then a friend of mine took me to the head quarters..." she paused and wondered how one would know if one had a ToR. "perhaps ou should go tohead quarters somtime?"

No see?! Kima thought as she lay there next to Tirio. How could she not see? Kima had a few creative questions, but she didn't have the capacity to phrase them, and thus they were lost for now. Kima felt confused, as she had never known anyone that could not see. But then, she thought Tirio was lucky in a sense. She did not have to see people turn their backs and walk away from her - something that Kima was sadly all to familiar with. For a moment, Kima thought to herself about her own experiences, but she couldn't for very long. In this case, the short attention span of an infant was a blessing to her.
Syd wondered what he would find at the headquarters, and then made it a point to eventually ask her for their whereabouts of the place. "I'm thinking I will have to", Syd said. "I might be able to get some answers myself about some things that peak my curiousity now." Syd thought for a moment, and noted that it might be a good idea to start on that research as soon as possible. "Come to think of it, could you give me directions? I'd love to get my answers pretty soon. I must be going soon anyway. I'm glad my darling got to play with Tirio, maybe we'll be able to let them play again soon."

Tiri once again changed positions, sitting now and playing in the sand again.
Eamane nodded "of course!" she pulled a small pad of papper and a pen out of the bag by her side. She scribbled quickly and then tore the front sheet off, "here you are" she stood and gathered Tiri up in her arms. it is time for us to be going as well. i hope to see you again soon" she gave Syd one of her more dazzling smiles and was off.

Kima saw that Tirio was being taken away from her side, and lifted one of her hands in the appearance that she wanted Tirio to stay by her side longer, but she could not reach the child when she was in her mother's arms. Kima wanted to cry, yet at that moment Syd scooped her up from where she lay, and held her close in his arms.
"I hope we see her again soon...it seems like you had a lot of fun with your new friend, Kima." Syd said as he held his daughter in his arms. With that, Kima smiled and felt a little light hearted as they made their way home. She beamed in smiles for the rest of that evening.
