Cheveyo blinked. "I don't think surfing can get you out very far." He said with a faint smile. "I bet we could if we built a boat." He said with a shrug. "But I think that's a lot of effort." He didn't like to get dissuaded, but he wasn't even sure where land was on the other side and would rather not die in the middle of an ocean.

The lemur just smiled. "I'm sure you could, but you have to be very careful when your swimming in the ocean. There's things called riptides that just rip you off course and further into the ocean. They're usually hard to get out of." He said, knowing quite a bit about oceans. "Alright, that's what I like to hear!" He said with a bright smile. The lemur just grinned holding out a hand then pulled his fingers into a fist, but left his pinky out. "Swear on it?" He grinned, looking to her.

The audio continued onto his work, trying to find a board. "Mmn. Most of them. They were all bogus." He said with a shrug, continuing on with the lie. "They just aren't as adventurous as some." He said with a smile. The boy looked over hearing her again and looked at the board. "Nice!" He said, moving to inspect it. He made sure it would break too easy and nodded. "Awesome job. I just need to find one for myself." He said, shifting through the piles some more.

"A boat..." Martika smiled as she looked back out at the ocean. "Maybe some day, we can get one or build one and see what's out there.." She seemed to be daydreaming for just a moment.

However the words he said next snapped her out of it as she looked back at him. "Riptides? How can I avoid those? I might like to see what's out there but not be dragged out there!" She looked a little more cautiously at the water. However she smiled when he smiled and when Chevy held out his pinky to her, Martika smiled warmly. Sticking out her own, she grabbed hold of his with her pinky and squeezed tight. She shook his hand with that pinky hold. "You bet!"

"Those old students of yours sound a little..." She thought for a moment the best word to pick, "Boring?" Though, when he liked the board she had found Martiak beamed with pride. As his back turned to look for his own, the rainbow's smile disappeared. She carefully lifted it up and hurried in front of the male. She held it out to him. "Here. This one can be yours! I'll look for another." She smiled gently.

Cheveyo just laughed a bit by the expression Martika had on her face with the thought of traveling. "Yeah, sure babe." He smiled widely. "You don't seem like you get out much, do ya?" His tail twitched behind him. "I guess I'll need to see to it that you do get out more."

The lemur seemed to catch her attention on the topic of riptides. He cringed, not sure how to answer exactly. "I'd just advise to not swim out too far." He nodded. "And to always have company, just in case." He said qith smile. He laughed, feeling her pinky wrap around his and he did the opposite, squeezing softly. He found this quite -adorable-, which wasn't a vocabulary word he used mostly on girls. He just seemed to shrug that thought off.

The male audio just grinned. "I guess that's the case. Oh well, it was their choice." He grinned. The lemur shook his head. "No, it's yours." He winked to her. "I'm fully capable of finding one too!" He said, trying to find another board with much more added vigor. He, of course, had to out do a girl.

"Well, you could say that." She smiled gently to Cheveyo. "This is my second time being outside, away from home." She spoke with such a serene calm as if this was how it had been for a long time and this was normal for any audio. Hearing him tell her that he would see to her getting out more, she giggled. "Are you just going to show up my house?" she teased.

Martika smiled and hugged onto his arm. "Well you are certainly company so I don't have to worry about riptides right?" She beamed. It was true though that she felt safe as long as he was around. Chevy's energy was very high and it gave her courage to face lots of things. She released him to allow him to go through the wood pile.

Martika smiled and held onto the side of the wood she found. "Suit yourself, Chevy! Watch you find a better one." She glanced around seeing if there was anything she could move to help him find another board. So she pretended to just kick some wood around and maybe he would spot something she didn't.

Cheveyo smiled. "Oh really? I guess that definately needs some change then." He said with a laugh. The audio just shrugged his shoulder casually. "That could be arranged, if I knew where you lived." He winked at her, hinting at her for some kind of contact information.

The lemur just smiled, feeling her arms surround his own. "Of course not. You shouldn't have to worry when I'm around." He said with a brilliant, cocky grin. His ringed tail swayed behind him. "As long as I have my eye on you, then you'll be oooo-kay."

The audio male shook his head. "I might." He said with a half-shrug. The male pulled out a board, but immediately saw a gaping hole in the middle. He pondered patching up the hole, or find another one. He glanced over to Martika, seeing her kick things around. He just laughed. "You know, your making things more hard to find when you do that." He said with a laugh, carrying his board as he tried to find a piece that would cover the hole.

Martika laughed. "I think you would get lost coming to my place! We live out in the middle of the woods by a lake." She smiled. "Though I would be thoroughly impressed if you did find the place. Do you have a good sense of direction?" The rainbow walked passed the wood pile and to the sand that had been dampened by where waters had touched it earlier in the day. She set down her board, knelt down and began to draw.

"From here, you would go up to the trees and there would be a path." Her finger drew the trees and the long snake like path. "You would make a right onto that path and follow it until you saw a lake." It was there that she drew a large circle. "There would be a house before the lake but you don't want that place. Its on the other side the lake. A wooden cabin." She drew the one house and an X over it just before the lake. Then on the other side she drew another house and circled it.

"See?" She rose from the ground brushing off her hands. "Its pretty far so you would need a good sense of direction to get there." She smiled to him. "And besides, its such a distance from this lovely place!" She held out her arms to emphasize the beach. The rainbow audio looked at him curiously. "How is it you can teach me to surf, surf yourself and keep an eye on me all at once?" She smiled playfully. "You might end up right back where I met you if you do that!"

The minute she heard that, Martika jumped and stood still. "Oops!" She smiled. "Did you find a good board?" Distraction time! She hurried over to where he had moved to examine it closer.

Cheveyo blinked. "Is that so?" The ring-tailed lemur audio just smirked. "That doesn't seem too hard." He said, hearing only that tidbit so far. The audio blinked and shrugged. "I'd say it was pretty good." He said, not really sure with his answer. He walked over curiously to where she knelt down and looked to her with curiosity.

The audio tried to watch the other audio explain how to get to his house. He nodded at every little tidbit, trying to remember it all. He cringed. "Well, can you see your house from the other side of the lake when you get to the house that isn't your house?" He said, thinking it was relatively easy now that he repeated it in his head.

The audio just grinned with great cockiness behind his smile. "I suppose you do. I don't doubt my abilities." He said with a shrug then winked at her. "Have you ever gotten lost?" He asked. The lemur just laughed. "Oh, it's called multi-tasking, babe. It takes great skill to perfect it." He just grinned then shrugged. "It worse comes to worse, I'm down with it." He said, totally fine with wiping out.

He just laughed at her again, seeing her reaction. "Oh, it's the right size, I just need to find something for this hole." He said, pointing to where the wood had an opening from it's previous life.

Martika smiled up at him. "Well I'm certain your senses will help you along the way. Its not so hard because of the path there." She then answered his question. "You can. Its a huge wooden cabin and there is a hot spring in the back that someone else created. So it looks a little out of place with steam coming from the back of it."

The rainbow smiled childishly. "A few times I did but it wasn't that bad." She smiled warmly with the memories that flooded her mind. "I got to see a bunch of nice things, like beautiful birds and gentle deer. It was actually pretty fun!" She glanced back at him curiously. "Multi-tasking? So you can surf, have a good sense of direction, and you multi-task." She smiled at him. "Aren't you just full of talent? Any other tricks I should know about yet?" She giggled.

"Hole?" She then took note of it and hurried along the pile wood. "Let's see.." She began to look every which way. The rainbow was very determined to help him if she could. After all how else could she repay him for the lessons he was going to give her in surfing? She glanced up at him. "Are you looking for a piece of wood or any material?"

Cheveyo nodded. "I see. Yeah, the path makes it all the easier. I just need to remember that after taking the path, I need to head right, then I need to go all the way around the lake." He laughed a bit. "Really? I wouldn't mind trying that out, if you don't mind?" He grinned, loving the idea of a relaxing hot spring.

The lemur laughed. "Oh really?" He said, looking at her. "Well, exploring the woods would be fun too. I'm all for that adventure." He said with a grin. There was nothing on this planet that he didn't want to do. He was open to experiencing everything and anything. The lemur could only grin. "I guess I'm just full of talent. I'm sure you could come to that potential, if you tried." Hearing her next comment, he could only wink her. "Oh, that all comes later with time." He said.

He nodded, holding the board up for her inspection. He just watched her as she observed it. "I was thinking a combination of both wood and another material." He said with a shrug. "Unless you have a better idea."

Martika smiled. "I don't mind you using the hot spring at all! That is if you show up." She gave a nod in a playful manner. "And if you can get there. But sure, once you do, the hot spring open for everyone to use. I never have though." She never tried it because hot water didn't seem exciting to her and she was more eager to get outside.

Her purple eyes turned their gaze to him. "Have you ever gone exploring in there before? There is a lot of fun stuff to see and do but you do have to be careful. There are some mean plants and animals." She tried to use a scary voice for that but just ended up giggling in the end. The rainbow looked at him curiously but still all in play. "And who says I don't have my own hidden talents?" She just smiled. At his wink though her head tilted slightly. "Huh? Later?" She didn't understand. "Why must I wait to see what else you can do?" So innocent.

"Well," She looked back down at the pile she had been working on. Her fingers pulled free from the sand a bottle with a cork in it. "I was thinking this might be useful." With some effort, Martika managed to free the cork and hand it over to him. Inside the bottle was a piece of paper.

Cheveyo just grinned at her. "Oh, don't you doubt my abilities to find your house." He grinned. The audio just blinked. "Oh sure? I don't mind sharing." He nodded. "It could be a good social thing." He said with a smile. "Won't you be joining me?" He asked curiously, lifting an eyebrow in her direction.

His dark blue eyes met her gaze and just smiled. "I haven't gone exploring in there much, but I agree. There is so much to see!" He nodded in agreement. "Oh, I know. But I'm sure I can handle them." He smirked, puffing out his chest. "Well, maybe not the poisonous things. Sometimes, those can't be helped." He nodded, not actually coming across danger that severe. He paused and looked at her. "Oh? Like what?" He asked, curious to what she had in store. He just grinned. "Because some things are just better after time has passed." He said smoothly.

The audio watched her scrouge for stuff for a while, still holding onto the board. He blinked and looked at the bottle curiously. First, he was trying to figure out if it was a beer bottle that someone just threw away, but why would it have a cork? He then saw the contents of the bottle and looked to her curiously. "Looks like there's some treasure in that bottle." He said, holding onto the cork. He tried to fit it through, pushing it into the hole.

Martika smiled very pretty. "What would you do if I do doubt your abilities?" Hearing he wouldn't mind sharing continued to make her smile but when he questioned her she just let out a sigh passed those smiling lips. "Well I just never tried it out. I don't understand what is nice about hot water." She gave a shrug. "But I wouldn't mind sitting with you by the hot spring. There are these really nice boulders to rest on."

Her tail swayed. "There is hardly enough time to take everything in. That is why I like the forest. Always something new to find." Martika laughed when she saw him puff out his chest and she poked his chest. "I don't think you want to take on poison ivy." Using that same finger, the rainbow audio wagged it, "Nope! You don't share I won't either." She smiled up at him coyly. "With time." She stuck out her tongue at him.

She looked back at the bottle she had been holding. "Treasure?" She turned the bottle upside down and tried to get just a small edge to tug it out. Succeeding, she took the note into her hands and read, "To Whom It May Be Concerned, Hiya from the other side of the world!" She then laughed and handed Chevy the note. "Treasure huh?"

Cheveyo just felt like the smile was contagious and smiled back. "Well, you know, because my ego is too large for my body," he paused and winked at her, "I would be completely devestated if my capabilities were doubted." He said with a grin. The audio shrugged. "It's nice because it relaxes your muscles and such. It also feels good," He said, "but maybe not in the middle of summer." The lemur just smiled, hearing her agree to it. "Good."

The audio tilted his head a bit before straightening his head. "Well, you live right by the forest, so shouldn't you have all the time in the world?" He asked. Feeling his chest poked, he eyed her a bit, his lower lip jutting out in a pout. "I didn't say I wanted to." He said, twitching his tail. The boy blinked again, seeing the finger wag in front of him. "That's fair." He said with a shrug. "We'll just see whose talent is better." He grinned.

The lemur nodded, still looking at the bottle. He saw the note drop into her hand and looked over at it curiously. "Well, you never know. There might be a treasure map on it or something." He shrugged, finally patching up his board. He grinned, thinking that it would do. "Thanks."

Martika played naive. "What ego? You? Ego? Nah." She smiled though. Hearing he would be devastated she pouted in play. "We can't have that now!" Her purple eyes blinked a little. "Is that what it's for? Huh. Well if you get too warm in the hot spring, there is a very nice cool lake right next door."

The rainbow smiled and giggled a bit at his question. "I've only been allowed out twice. Once I ended up at a park and it was my first time in the forest. Then today, and while I was there I did get to see some of it but I think I've seen more of this beach and of you then the forest." Seeing him pout, Martika looked sad to have made him seem so sad. So, she immediately lunged and gave him a hug to try and make things right again. She didn't want to make anyone displeased with her especially Chevy! Releasing him, she smiled. "Yes we will!" It was a rare competitive tone in her voice.

"Do you see a map?" She asked curiously after turning over the note to him. Hearing him thank her, she blinked. "For what?" Already the note had her distracted enough. Her gaze fell to the board. "OH!" Her tail wagged excitedly. "Can we go surfing now?" She was really hyped to learn something new.
