Chouko smiled brightly at Rune before preparing herself by taking a few deep breaths. The truth was she had never really pulled this off properly and was told not to try it because she was far too clumsy, but she really wanted to impress Rune. She was sure if she did this right it would impress him.
Chouko sat back on her hind legs a bit and glanced over at Rune to make sure he was watching. 'Okay! Here goes nothing.' She threw herself forward in a poor imitation of a cartwheel. Once she managed to get halfway through with her hind legs in the air, her front paws slipped out from under her and she ended up barely missing the rock as she collapsed on the ground in the most ungraceful manner imaginable.

Rune rushed over to help Chouko, despite wanting to keep still. "Are you alright?" he asked as he attempted to help her up. "No broken bones or anything?" he panted. He pawed at her fur, trying to figure out if she was hurt.

'I-I'm okay' she whimpered pulling back a bit. 'It's just that...' she buried her face in her paws 'that was so embarrassing! I'm sorry' she looked up at Rune with tears in her eyes 'I just really wanted to do something to impress you!'

Not knowing why, Rune felt a rush of affection for Chouko. "There, there," he consoled. "It's alright. Don't be embarassed. You did better than I would've anyways." He nosed her gently and wiped away her tears. "You know, I enjoy your company."

Chouko blushed slightly feeling much better and very warm. 'Thanks. I-I really enjoy spending time with you too' she mumbled looking off to the side slightly. She suddenly turned her eyes toward Rune 'I think you're really great, I want to spend a lot more time with you!'

"Really? With me? The lazy one?" he teased. Her eyes drew him in, compelling him to lick her ruffled fur back into place. He felt as if he were going to explode with joy, but held his tongue.

She giggled slightly and pushed him away teasingly 'But it works out doesn't it? I'm sure I have more than enough energy for the both of us and you can be the lazy one. It all works out. We make the perfect pair!' She licked him on the cheek before bouncing away a bit 'And maybe I can get you to exercise more. Wouldn't want you getting fat' she giggled before winking at him.

"Perfect pair?" Rune raised an eyebrow before breaking into a grin. He chased after her, scaring some butterflies away. "And I don't need exercise, I have high metabolism," he joked back. He caught up, licking her cheek too.

'High metabolism? That's no fun' she grumbled sticking out her tongue. 'Well, if you don't think we'd make a good... I mean if you don't want to... What I really mean is do you...? Ugh' she sighed in frustration 'What I mean is I really like you. Do you like me?' she asked tilting her head down slightly so she could look up at him through her eyelashes.

Rune tilted his head. "Oh, so you like me that way?" He laughed, licking her cheek again. "Of course I do, you silly furball," he told her. "And I'll like you forever."

'Then we'll always be friends okay? And maybe a little bit that way, I just know I enjoy being with you more than anyone else and I feel really warm and happy when I'm with you' she giggled before pressing her nose to Rune's nose 'Forever sounds really nice' she pulled back and smiled.
'And I'm not a furball' she growled puffing out her cheeks.

"I feel the same," he murmured. "Forever for eternity," he said before nuzzling her side. He then yawned, ruining the moment. "Sorry, and you are too a furball!"
He grinned sheepishly before laying down to sleep. "You wanna take a nap with me?"

'A nap actually sounds kinda nice' she mumbled yawning 'Unlike someone I've been running around all day' she walked over and lay down beside him. 'It's so nice out here, really peaceful' she whispered while staring at the rock and all the lovely butterflies. 'Let's make this our place okay? We can come here when we want to be alone together and no one else will know about it' she mumbled sleepily as her eyes began to close.

Barely able to keep his eyes open, Rune nodded. "Okay," he replied as sleep descended down on him. "I want to be with you always."
