Reaching over, the trainer gently starting scratching the dark-type pokemon behind his ears. "An egg, hm? Never saw you as the fatherly type, Zen" A playful grin replaced the evil one she had previous. "Nevertheless, he's pretty spiffy. Have you thrown him into the arena yet?"
"Teddy is that model person everyone talks about in the city." She pointed towards some month-old fashion magazines laying on the table. "The guy is....annoying to say it mildly. Basicly, he's irritation at it's best and complete form."

Wagging his tail happily, Axel gave a small, but pleased, bark at Jen. He enjoyed being scratched behind the ears, and he was able to tell by her tone of voice she was saying good things about him. "Dour!"
"Oh, haha Jen." Zen sarcastically laughed, rolling his eyes. "And I've never sen you as a motherly figure." He whispered, making sure he was loud enough for her to hear, grinning devilishly.
"But no, I haven't taken him to the arena yet. You know me, Jen. I only battle when forced too..." He shut up then. He definitely was going to regret saying that.
"Oh! That guy. I've only seen him on commercials, since I live in the country and all."

Laughing, and while keeping one hand at scratching his ears, Jen reached out with her other hand and started scratching Axel's side. Aura enjoyed this same treatment....
"Hey now!" Removing her hand from Axel's head for a split second, she hooked and tossed an empty pokeball at Zen before proceeding to pet Axel more. "Im plenty the mom type! I mean, I can take care of my friends, right?" Sighing, she shook her head as Abiba scampered over and pawed at Zen's leg before jumping up onto his shoulders. "I haven't been in the arena myself in a few weeks, so I don't really know what's changed and stuff. Been living the hermit life." Jen laughed. "Needless to say: Aeon iusn't happy at the moment."

Axel panted with enjoyment, licking Jen's hand after she threw the pokeball at his trainer. Zen gave him a pout, and Axel just winked,, and went back to his enjoyment.
"Traitor." Zen muttered, scratching Abiba behind the ears and patting her head.
"Only teasing Jen, yeesh. No need for violence." He joked, but saw that she was being serious. "But really, you do take great care of your friends. Heck, if you hadn't been leading that trip, I'd probably be a gonner, alright. Now smile, would ya?" He smiled, lifting her chin up with a finger. "Really, you look better when you do." He said, removing his finger.
"Ah, why's the old fart so upset?" He asked, killing the moment. That was intentional, of course.

Abiba purred happily at the affection she recieved, nudging Zen's hand for more.
"Maybe i'm just having one of my serious days!" She gave a grin and pointed a finger at him. "Besides...who was the one who was planning on letting me wither away outside? Hm?" Laughing, Jen waved away the seriousness from before. Giving Axel one final pat, she stood and brushed off her jeans.
"You know how battle-happy Aeon is. And the fact that I haven't been to the arena lately...let's just say you should see some of the trees around our campsite." Glancing around, Jen walked over and poked a very expensive vase that was on display. "Place is still as fancy as ever.....How did ya manage to get the key anyway? From what I heard: This place is bolted shut, save for contest days."

Zen stroked Abiba's head some more, laughing at bit at the Pikachu.
"Hey, I wasn't really going to! I'm not that mean, you know!" Zen humphed, crossing his arms playfully. When provoked as to how he got in, Zen laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his head.
"Well...don't be surprised when you see the east side window..." He muttered, grinning sheepishly.

"ZEN! You.....you didn't break into here, did you?!"
Jen flipped out: If he had broken into the contest hall through a window....not only would they get slapped with a large bill, the police would have a few words to say to them!! Oh geez.....
"Are you nuts or something?! Oh wait.....I already knew that...ANYWAY! Look, WHY!?"

"Umm...yeah. I did." Zen cowered, attempting to sink into his chair.
He knew it was wrong, but he had to get in somehow! It was hot out there!
"Well, it was hot...and...and..ARMAGEDDON MADE ME DO IT!" He pointed dramatically to the black Absol that had been snoozing in the sun all along. At the mention of his name, he looked up, and gave an annoyed huff.
