Cyclops smiled at her rushed speech and impatient noise. Either she was younger than he thought, or… well, a rushed and impatient wolf. It takes all kinds.
He moved with Rally, and felt her stumble. "We don't have to go so quickly," he said quietly. "There isn't any more danger here, if we keep an eye out." He bent his head to lick her hind leg in sympathy.

Rally was frowning, how she truly disliked whomever laid out those traps. Hands of those wierd pale faced two-leggers she figured, disabling a wolf from doing what came natural, and what burned her energy up the most, Running.
Her and Shelby had always been hasty, except for the brief moments they hunted or stalked. The pure concentration turned the two over zelus femme's into sharp atuned killers. Well at least Rally, she hadn't hunted with her sister in what felt like seasons.
Turning her face to look at the sympathetic Cyke, her maw turned upwards in the corners, though her voice was laced with a rare admodity, embarressment, "I'm not good with slow paces." Though the touch of his tongue to her leg brought back the fact.
Moving too quickly could possibly snap any hair-line fractures in her leg, if she kept having to put it down.
"But, you're right, no need to rush..." she paused and looked back towards the direction of the path she came this way on. "So, do you run into this type of thing often?" if she was going to be stuck at a hobbled pace, she was going to be talking and asking alot more questions. Hopefully not too many to drive this kind male away.

“What sort of thing, crazy females who get caught in traps?” Cyclops asked dryly. He wasn’t sexist; he’d lived too long with a strong female at his side for that. Maybe a chivalric chauvinist, the sort that had grown up strongly conditioned to protect and serve the ladies of the pack. That sort of training never really went away, but his comment was meant humorously. “No, not frequently, really. But there are a lot of lone wolves in these parts. If I find one in trouble, I try to help. It’s just... what I do.”
He continued to pace forward slowly, close enough to her side that he would be able to stop her from hurting herself if she stumbled again, but far enough away that it didn’t look like he was coddling her. If he was quixotic at his heart, he knew that appearing so could be insulting to those who banked their lives on their own independence.

Even if he meant it to be humorous, the way her mother's mind was so frail, Rally wasn't one to like the comments about crazy wolves, unless it was associated with the witch and her children of Aqua Azul. She scoffled abit though and muttered, "Only crazy wolf I know is the b***h alpha who turned my brother against my sister and me." Yes, Rally knew Shelby and her both sounded like little pups at times, or emotional teens, but it was just who they were. Trap or not, they had suffered at the paws of the deepest betrayal a frail family bond could suffer.
Shelby was kicked out of the pack, for her own safety was the rubbish Waz was stating and she was exiled the moment she traveled to Akiiki Chibale with Alas. Rally's adrenaline pumping hyper exterior hardened at her unpleasant thoughts, normally kept at bay but unleashed by the flood gates.
As Cyke continued to talk and answer her light conversation question, she nodded her head once or twice, not that the loose marbles in her own mind would rattle signifying such.
"I see," she finally said. Eyeing the stream that was coming into view from between some trees.
Letting go of the crazy statement for now, even though somewhere deep inside Rally truly knew he wasn't pegging her, she looked towards him. This male was being kind enough to make sure she didn't die, well being less dramatic, suffer heat stroke at the top of the day and die before she could get some assistance.
"Sooo, your kinda like someone that does kind things...deeds whenever you see them needing to be done?" Golden eyes shifted forward again, "You sound like a few of the wolves in the pack my sister is part of, they'll do anything for one another or help those that mean no harm to them or their family. Do you have a family?" The tri-colored female rambled off. Letting her floodgates rebuild and close out the negative thoughts.
She slowed her pace and had a small voice slightly scold her last question, a voice she hadn't heard in almost a couple seasons, "Sorry, you don't have to answer that last one..."

The large male rolled his shoulders in a shrug. He, too, knew the stream was nearby, because he could hear the water and smell it on the breeze. Beneath his feet, the undergrowth turned from loam and fungus to lichen and fern, water-loving plants. Processing this was second nature now, and he kept up the steady pace, estimating that the size and speed of the waterway would not pose a barrier.
"I suppose that's what I am," he said. "Really, it's not so kind as you make it out to be. I have... nothing else." He stumbled a bit on the words, not trying to sound like a cynical woe-bearer. "I don't... have a family, and haven't for awhile. I suppose being a constant savior is my calling in life," he added lightheartedly.
