She shrugged and listened to him talk. "I live with a wind stallion and he seems to spend equal time in the air and on the ground. He says you have to see beauty in both perspectives and he does't brag about his wings." she repsonded.

She wished she had some sort of family to talk about but alas she really didn't have none, except for her adoptive mother. She wasn't sure if her family looked like her or not or if she was the only one with the copper coat. She really didn't dwell on it though. That was all in the past and there was nothing she really could do about it.

"I don't really have family to speak of, so I am not sure I can relate to where you are coming from. I was the runt and left for dead, never knowing my true mother. Though I was taken in by a mother wolf who had lost her litter days before." she said calmly, not seeing anything weird with the fact though some found it hard to take it all to be true.

She shifted her feet a bit and flicked her tail, chasing away the flies and any other bugs that had come to bother her. "Don't worry about boring me for I am not bored at all. If I were to leave it would take a lot more than just plain old boredom. I don't believe it is your fate to, bore and drive others away, as you say. Everyone has some grand scheme set for them, even if they do not know it." she finished and looked out into the sunny clearing. The butterflies were going around from flower to flower and it looked like a dream.

Myrrh had nodded, his eyes closed as he listened. Absorbing what was being told to him, though his eyes snapped opened at the mention of not having much of a family to speak of. He would gladly trade with her, though he hadn't actually taken in the 'runt of the litter' thing or the 'left for dead' comment. Though he was glad that he hadn't bored her into wanting to move on. Though being that she was only the second of his kind he's met, he was very... Unsocialized.

"I would gladly trade with you." He nodded again, "Wait, Wha?" the last but finally sunk and it just about knocked him over. "What kind of parent is that?" ah eye twitched lightly at the thought before he shook it off trying to compose himself.

Boy, this was going to be harder then he thought to keep straight faced. Of all the things he had heard through the 'grape vines', he had never heard anything like that one before. Surely if he had been eating something he surely would have choked upon it. He watched Sadie, observing her, how she moved and how the light moved over her. She didn't look like she had been a runt, more like the pick of the litter.

"I'm sorry that you had that experience, if I may be so bold as to say this. You don't look the type to be the runt of the litter. More like the pick of the litter, even if I haven't ever seen anyone else like you." Awkward moment as he merely watched her, had that really come out of his mouth? So much for being 'level' headed.

She wasn't at all suprised by his reaction to her history. She had seen many do the same thing as he had when she told them. She honestly didn't know what was so weird or suprising about it. She had taken it to be truth and the normal thing for her. But there you were back to wondering what truely is normal and abnormal.

"I suppose that kind of parent would be one following instinct." she said with a shrug. She honestly didn't know what he ment by that kind of parent. Her mother had only done what she could and what she thought was right at the time. She supposed if she ever got the chance to meet her mother she would ask her about it but she didn't feel her mother had ill intentions when she had done what she did.

Sadie turned back and the look on his face was rather interesting. She couldn't help but let out a little chuckle before quickly recovering. That was not right of her to laugh at him for his obviously suprised experssion. He couldn't help they way he thought about the information he had just recieved.

"No reason for you to be sorry about it. You didn't do anything and its not like you could change it anyway. It's done and over with and thats history. Though I am not sure what any of my siblings look like, assuming I have any at all, so I am not quite sure if I really was the runt or not and that also means that I am not sure if I am the pick of the litter, as you put it. But thank you for the compliment all the same. Just means my adoptive mother did a good job raising me the best that she could being that I was of a completely different species." she responded and gave him a small half smile. He deserved that atleast for his efforts to carry on a conversation with her.

Myrrh's eye still twitched at the thought of a parent just kicking one of her brood out like that. Just because it was smaller. He was smaller then most his siblings when he was little, but he didn't get kicked out, then again his family wasn't like hers in coloration and what not. But still... Shaking his head he took control of the twitching and eased it away, this wasn't really the time to be foggy headed.

"At least someone was kind hearted to take you in." Myrrh nodded, though an ear turned backwards. "Sometimes I wonder if everyone who's... Well..." He didn't know how to put it without insulting someone. "Well older then the both of us, be heartless. I was the runt of my batch of siblings."

No that wasn't really right, there he went again, his mind shrouded with thoughts, questions and many other things that were to be left unanswered. Sinking to the ground, his legs folded beneath him, his head laying on the cool grass. Oiy, his head was starting to hurt, and hurt a lot.

"All this seems like utter, foalish non-sense. Kicking someone out of the family on size." He muttered staring blankly. "Very foalish..."

She watched him curiously and thought she could see a slight twitch to his eye. How strange? Then it quickly stopped with the shaking of his head. She wondered what that was all about but figured it wasn't important, for if it was he would have told her...or so she thought.

"Yes and for that I am greatful. Nikita was a wonderful mother to me and I will never forget her." she said thoughtfully as she wondered what her mother was up to these days. She really needed to pay her a visit sometime...if she could find her again. "I do not think everyone who is older is heartless. I live with an old red mare now and she is very caring and would go to great lengths to help others. Her mate is the same way along with thier children." she said, coming out of her small day dream.

She knew that there were those who didn't care but she didn't think that everyone was like that. Her biological mother only did what she thought was right at the time. There wasn't anything that was going to change how things went besides it all ended well in the end.

"Foalish non-sense?" she questioned as his words came to her. She had never heard of such a thing. It may have been non-sense but foalish? She didn't think so.

Turning his head to one side, Myrrh looked up toward Sadie. All this was starting to make his head hurt, he was so ready to ask for a subject change. Maybe to something that wouldn't make his head hurt, or maybe it wasn't everything that was colliding within his head. Maybe it was the heat? Perhaps that, or maybe other things that were making feel sick. Shaking his head and soon dragging him back up to his hooves.

"Perhaps not, but the most I can't really say." He added at no more then a soft mutter. "I know one in my family that's cold hearted, one of my Aunts. Neva, she's always trying to get herself disowned from the family, but my grandparents are too kind for that kind of thing." He often wondered how they coped...

Things changed to something that he had said, his foalish non-sense comment. Now there was something he went blank on, he didn't remember what he had said it for. So he merely shrugged, and turned around to head deeper into the shadows, before stopping and looking back toward Sadie.

"I'm heading deeper, where the air is cooler then here. Your welcome to join me if... You want." He left the invitation open to her if she wanted to join him. Charming, perhaps he wasn't all hardheaded after all.

She watched him as he started to head in deeper into the forest. She was a bit suprised at his invitation. The last one to invite her to go somewhere was him...and she was not about to let that memory resurface. But...maybe...could this one be different? She shook her head and made a quick decision and started to follow after him. She was her own person afterall and she wouldn't let old memories control what she did now.

"Cooler air sounds wonderful at this point. I think the heat is starting to mess with my mind." she admitted softly as she continued to walk with him deeper into the forest. Her mind was practically screaming at her. This was something that was out of character for her. Once upon a time it wouldn't have been to strange for her to follow someone she had just met, but that had all changed a long time ago.

"So you have a crazy Aunt? That's interesting. Somewhat reminds me of the family I live with now. Only it was an uncle and he just kind of disappeared. he's not crazy or trying to get disowned, he just has a wild spirit is all." she commented calmly as they walked.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 21, 2008 6:02 pm

His ears turned back toward the following steps as he heard her following him. Already the air seemed to cool even more then before. He didn't know where he was going, but that clearing wasn't going to be so close for long. Walking pretty much blindly, he just stared forward, though his ears listening to what she said.

"Yea, she's crazy. My Aunt Del'Nal is a strange on herself. My uncles aren't much better. One thinks he can go anywhere in his head and think up the craziest and most foalish stories. Ones of chasing dragons and the like." Myrrh shrugged gently. Then there's my sisters who bear wings, one whom is falling for some other stallion. My brothers... I haven't heard much of them. My grandparents and the like... I don't really know them."

At this he turned his head back a little to look back toward Sadie. Though he didn't quite look forward in time before he ran smack into a tree and knocked himself backwards. Ears falling back he glared at the tree, thinking a lot of things he could have shouted, though only picked himself up off the ground and shook it off.

"Blasted things always jumping out before someone." He muttered stepping around the tree, a small lump growing on the side of his head...

The copper mare coulding help but laugh at his moment of clumsiness. She tried to stiffle it but only ended up in slightly choking. It reminded her of how clumsy one of her friends was. "I don't think that trees just jump out of no where." she commented still chuckling to herself and shaking her head.

She took a few deep breathes and calmed herself down. The image of him running into the tree would be in her mind for quite sometime and she knew she would still chuckle about it when she would think of him. "Sounds like you have a pretty interesting family. Are you sure your not the same way?" she asked rather boldly and waited for him to get up and celar his senses.

Myrrh shook his head as his ears twitched listening to her 'laugh' at him. This brought a bit of pink tint to his silver and white face, though he whipped around to face her, though no glare was present. He merely watched the copper and cream mare with a seriousness about his features before he merely shrugged them off.

"They do when one isn't really paying attention." His voice a bit gruff as his head as slowly easing up on the pounding. "And no I'm not like my family. They are too happy and foalish for their own good. Like I've said before, I would wish I were an only child or have no family at all."

Turning around again he stepped past the tree that he had bumped into. The roots of the tree being above ground some, tripped him up, thus aggravating him more, though his stumble didn't land him on the ground, it certainly did make him just want to kick something. Though he kept himself composed the best her could, though this trip was starting to bother him and really he wasn't feeling himself for some reason...

The copper and cream mare snorted as she watched him trip after he had turned to face her. She couldn't help it though she did not laugh this time. She fought it and figured he had enough embarassment for the moment. She was glad that the atmosphere around them had lightened up a bit and it wasn't so stuffy anymore. For that she was thankful.

"Maybe then you should be paying more attention to your surroundings so that they don't suprised you again." she said still amused as she carefully stepped around the roots that had tripped him up. "You should be happy and lighten up as well. One can't always be so serious and grumpy all the time." she mused again and came up along side him and then nipped playfully at his shoulder. That deffinately cought her off gaurd, she never acted that way with anyone.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 27, 2008 5:23 pm

Grinding his teeth, unseen, he turned his head back toward the mare as she spoke of him watching where he was going. Well if she hadn't been 'distracting' him, he might have been paying attention. Looking forward again he passed through another small clearing before turning and heading a little further. There he stopped and looked back at the mare, though something had startled him before he had completely stopped. Had she just nipped him on the shoulder? Playfully? Blinking a couple of times, Myrrh watched Sadie for a moment as the same action had startled even herself.

Stepping back a moment he returned the favor, raising his head a somewhat sweet smile on his silver and white face before he turned and headed deeper into the trees. His pace a bit brisk, was he trying to get away from her? Or perhaps he was in the 'playful' mood? That was settled as he yelled,

"Your it!"

back toward Sadie as he dashed through the trees. His earth colored tail swayed behind him. Ears turning back to listen, to see if she would follow him. Was this serious, realisticly thinking stallion actually connecting with his 'foal' self? Perhaps, but only time would tell if Sadie happened to follow him to someplace that he wouldn't commonly show anyone... His 'secret' place. Why he was leading her there... No clue, maybe he trusted this one to not speak of it, even if he hadn't even told her about it? Maybe...

She quickly tried to look as if she wasn't suprised by her action and gave a small huff at his smile, but she couldn't help the small smile that was upon her lips in return. Then her ears perked at his yell and she looked up in time to see him dash off into the trees.

"What?!" she exclaimed rather confused. Seriously, weren't they too old to play tag anymore? Wasn't that something only foals did? Now here she was thinking foalishly, as he would have put it. She rolled her eyes and stood there a few more moments. She was not going to play this game and looking around the small clearing they had come to she felt rather alone. So maybe he wasn't joking...and maybe he wasn't going to come back...

"Oh fine!" she said frustrated before signing and charging in to the trees in the direction he had left in.

Myrrh had slowed when he didn't hear her right after him. Almost stopping he looked back to see if she was really going to follow, almost turning back he caught the sounds of hooves coming his way. So maybe she was following him? Waiting a couple more moments before dashing again through the trees weaving and swerving. Trying his best not to get too far a head, but also not trying to get 'caught' either. Dashing through the low hanging branches and almost completely vanishing, Myrrh came to a halt in the middle of his secret place.

Turning his head to look back over his shoulder he wasn't sure if she would... Well... He didn't rightly know. Around him the trees shadowed the ground a good sized brook ran off to one side before falling down a small waterfall and vanishing to the lower part of his 'home'. Dancing over the central pond were fireflies, all fluttering and lighting up the small area around them. Other insects and birds made their home here and it never seemed to remain too quite unless everything was sleeping... Here it was peaceful away from the other more populated areas of the valley. Myrrh's secret spot and he hoped to try and keep it that way.

"I only hope she doesn't mind. Being she's the only one I brought here.." He muttered to himself stepping over to the pond glancing down at his own reflection, waiting for Sadie to catch up to him.

She could hear his hoof beats ahead of her as she gracfully dipped and dodged branches and brush as she ran after him through the forest. Atleast she hadn't lost him with her moment of confussion. She wasn't sure what he was planning or what kind of game he was playing now. But being that she was a competetive one, she couldn't just let him run off like that.

It wasn't long before she broke through the remaining under growth and came into full view of the small meadow and it's pond. She came to a sudden hault as she took in the view that was around her. This was something out of a story or a dream. She had never seen a place that looked so perfect before. At that thought she instantly began to scowl. Why in the world had he brought her here? Was this some kind of trick he was trying to pull?

"Where in the world are we?!" she asked/exclaimed rather rashly not liking the idea of being in such a place alone with him. She had never been so foolish...not since he had left her.
