As the smog was still kind of thick, Kayla heard a loud yip and whine from Houndberry, which could only mean that Adira managed to make contact with him. Kayla smiled. They were a good team. Adira trust her trainer completely and has never doubted after she was rescued.
The smog began to clear and Kayla could now see the status of this battle. Adira was on her feet, panting sure, but still in the game. Houndberry was slowly getting back up but also getting tired. This looks like an even match.
Houndberry attempted to take a bite out of Adira but the smog was still lingering and he missed as Adira dodged it.
"Let's give something to be shocked about. Use Thunder!" Kayla shouted as she pointed up into the sky.
Adira roared again and dark forming clouds started to build at the top of the ceiling. Lightening and Thunder was flashing and shaking the stadium.
Suddenly, the Lightening struck at Adira but she wasn't hurt by it. In fact, it started to form a static ball on top of Adira's bulb head. When the electric energy started to get out of control, Adira released it and it went straight for the Houndoom.Quote: 400/800 XD I forgot that this was the old system. XP

Even Leroy could feel the power of Adira's attack forming, all the way up here. All the little hairs on the back on his neck and on his arms were standing on end, and he had goosebumps. He quickly shook his head to wake himself, and to help himself concentrate.
By this time, Adira was collecting electricity into the attack, and Houndberry stood agape. He hadn't seen anything quite like this before. But, as usual, he wasn't as afraid as he should be. As the ball of energy got larger, Houndberry kept waiting for a command from his 'trainer' but soon realized that the order might not come. Deciding to take the matter into his own hands, Houndberry ran along the walls of the canyon until he came to a large rock fairly close to Adira.
CRRRRRACKKKK! Leroy heard the attack sound before he saw it. With horror he realized he had left Houndberry with no sense of direction! What a poor trainer he was turning out to be. But wait? On his screen Houndberry was stepping out from behind a boulder, completely unharmed by the attack. Leroy could jump with joy, he was so thankful!
"That won't happen again Houndberry... now come on, let's try flamethrower again! Get in real close this time!"
Houndberry rolled his eyes. This trainer was sooo sappy. Nevertheless, he started heading towards Adira. Slowly at first, building up speed. Opening his mouth he spewed flames, aiming directly for his target.

 Adira was not please that the attack did not make contact as she had hoped it would and neither was Kayla but what could they do.
Before Adira could prepare for another attack, Houndberry released another flamthrower at her. It made contact. Even though the attack did not do much damage to her, it was starting to wear on her strength and tough skin.
"You can take it Adira! Let's try Zen Headbutt!"
Adira started to charge up her bulbus on her head before she roared again and charged straight at Houndberry as she lowered her head as she ran.
