"NOW!"
Nine broke through the ice and leaped out if the way in one single movement, completely missing the icebeam.
"There's no escape now!" Luna said, smirking. She wasn't going to let Bell freeze Nine anymore. This next move would assure that and buy enough time for them to eat up Bell's HP. Hopefully. "Safeguard!"
Nine's eyes glowed as a thin and transparent veil materialized around Nine, keeping her safe from the future status conditions that the Delibird would have inflicted. And after this, they would attack fast and hard.
((Safeguard is a new move made available to the system. Prevents status condition for five turns, requires no rolling ;P ))

"Rain Dance!" Renekai shouted.
Bell swooped upwards, suddenly accompanied by a roaring storm of rain, which dampened everything. Bell breathed upon some drops; a cool, filmy mist enveloped them, and they suddenly grew larger, more condenced. Nine just might be wishing that she had brought an umbrella, if these monster rain drops hit.
".... That's creative," Renekai said, nodding a bit.

"Don't let it bother you, use a small heatwave attack to evaporate the rain!" Luna ordered. Nine had a weakness to water, but they were never going to let it effect them too much.
The area around Nine seemed to shimmer as Nine released waves of heat that caused the raindrops to evaporate almost instantly and turn into steam. Lots and lots of steam. Steam that covered the field and made visibility difficult.
"NATURAL GIFT!"
Nine's eyes glowed red in the steam as chunks of rocks rose up from the field and threw themselves at Bell once again.

Renekai gripped the railings tightly, hardly able to bear watching any longer, but unable to tear her eyes away from the scene before her.
Bell was pummeled, rock after rock, until she was knocked unceremoniously from the air. The second time from that attack didn't suit Bell very well; it was a long time before Bell was able to stand again. She was bruised and cut all over, yet the glare had not left the Delibird's eye as she faced her opponent; she was outmatched, but she held her ground.
Renekai didn't know if she wanted to laugh or cry. Bell was so brave, yet she was getting slaughtered! Renekai couldn't call off the match, though... Bell would kill her... There was only one way to win, then, and that was only if they had the sheer luck and willpower to succeed. "Water Pulse," Renekai said, barely loud enough to be heard. It hurt to see Bell not only get beaten, not only being tossed about so easily, but also because Renekai admired Luna and her pokemon so much, and that she now realized she had a long, long way to go before she would ever be a competent trainer. Bell had a gaping weakness to rock, Renekai finally understood. She had a lot more studying to do...
Bell struggled to her feet, then did her best to shoot a Water Pulse at Nine. Things were still looking hazy to Bell, who had not yet recovered from the blows.

Nine was taken aback by the waterblast, half missing it from the mist and half missing it because she did not expect for the weak penguin to attack back so fiercly. She would not make the same mistake twice.
"Come on! Keep at it Nine!" Luna encouraged, knowing that even though Nine had taken some pretty bad damage, if they kept hitting, they could knock out Bell in about one or two more moves. They just needed to keep on persisting.
The ninetales silently accepted her trainer's command, red eyes glowing brightly once more as rocks up again at the Delibird.

The good thing about this battle was that it was almost over. If Bell could hang on just a bit longer... "Water Pulse," Renekai commanded miserably.
Bell did her best, but she was losing hope... That Ninetails had the advantage. Bell had never hated rocks quite so much before... The ultrasonic waves zoomed towards Nine, barely visible.

"Nine! Shoot a heatwave right through the center!" Luna ordered, figuring that not only would it get an attack through to Bell, it would weaken the attack when it got to Nine. Hopefully this move would end the battle as well, her opponent was pretty tired.
The ninetales shot a powerful, shimmering heat wave straight through the center of the water pulse attack and at the delibird. The waves of heat that radiated from the attack evaporated some of the water from Bell's attack. So when the waterpulse did hit Nine, the damage was minimal....or at least as minimal as a super effective hit could get.

Bell couldn't move out of the way. She stood perfectly still, eyes glazed, beak slightly open, as the heat blasted through her and racked her body. After the wave had passed, Bell's eyes slowly closed. "De..." She said quietly, before falling over backwards. She had fainted.
"Bell!" Renekai shouted. She returned Bell to her pokeball, saying quietly to it, "Good girl. You did well." Renekai then turned to Luna, a small smile on her face. "We're not good enough to beat you yet," Renekai said lightly, "But you just wait! One of these days, my team will be strong enough to match your pokemon." Renekai laughed. They had lost this match, but Renekai also knew that they had come fairly close to winning. They would just have to work harder next time.

The electric towers started to deactivate as the battle came to a close. Nine looked at the fallen delibird with satisfaction. She had won.
"Haha~I'll be looking forward to that! But don't think we'll wait for you!" Luna teased the other trainer, pulling out Nine's pokeball. A ray of red light shot out of the ball and hit Nine, sucking her back into the device. Tucking the ball inside her bag, she unclipped a second pokeball that she kept on her hat.
"Later Rene~" Luna said, tossing the ball into the air. Prince popped out of the ball, wings outstretched. The trainer grabbed onto the bird's talons with one hand and waved to Rene with the other as Prince took off towards Katarina.
