Through his confusion, Yero could barely focus enough to attack let alone defend himself against the cascading rocks. He let out a small yelp of distress and was barried in a heap of rubble.
"No!" If it weren't for the railing infront of him Carter would have been at the pokemon's side in an instant. This was obviously too much for Yero to handle he had to call it quits. His eyes widened, however, as the boulders began to move around as the Growlithe attempted to resurface. When he finally did it was clear that the damage had been a direct hit. Yero was breathing heavy, but with the exception of his confused state still looked able to battle. Carter's heart swelled with pride. "This is the final pursuit Yero, corner the suspect and take her down!" Perhaps it was a little overkill, but Yero would get the message anyway.
Carter just hoped that Kayla wouldn't take offense, he would have to do some major apologizing later. The rubble stopped moving as Yero began to fly underground again, the terrain giving beneath his paws for what seemed like the hundreth time that day, but instead of an attack it was just a way of getting himself out of the rubble. "Now Yero, ascend and use Bite!" He had intended on Yero using dig, but in his confused state, he couldn't risk the extra damage it would cause the Growlithe.
Yero sprung out from underground just a little to the left of where the rocks had burried him, and once again he flew at the Cranidos, his jaws extended again. Neither he nor Carter liked to use the same attacks over and over again, and to Yero Crunch and Bite were pretty much the same. He would personally have to apologize to his opponent for his monotonous movements after they were finished. But now was not that time, right nwo he was too focused on trying to decipher the enemy from the surrounding rocks, and it was not going well at all.

It seems that Yero confusion was starting to get the best of him because as his leap was going towards Adira, he totally missed by a few yards and started attacking the large boulder, possessively.
Soon, his bite attacks extended towards his paws and legs as he attacked himself.
Kayla tsked as she watched all this happen. It wasn't what Kayla wanted to resort to but desparate times calls for desparate measures. At least it happened when it really counted. Now it's time for the finale, hopefully!
"Now Adira! While it's confused, let's shake things up with Earthquake!"
Adira roared again and slammed his tail hard several times, causing a shockwave that made the ground to tremble and shake. The sand started to shift and the boulder started to crack and break into several pieces due to the ground movements. Quote: 100/800 Now your confusion is over. ^__^

That darn confusion had been his downfall, he could only watch in horror as the tide of the battle changed in Adira's favor. Fists clenched he called out for Yero to halt his attack on himself.
[color#900000]"Snap out of it Yero!" Tumbling backwards Yero struggled back to his feet, he was starting to feel the fatigue of battle. Shaking he turned to face Adira again only to be hit by one of the most deadly attacks to fire pokemon.
It hit Yero and the pokemon tumbled forward. Carter gasped the edge of the platform leaning as far forward as he could to see if Yero had survived the attack. But alas, Yero's legs gave out from under him and he landed spread eagle, his eyes showing that he was no longer able to battle.
"Yero!" Retreving his pokeball from his side and recalled the Growlithe. "You did great Yero, despite a great disadvantage you almost made the arrest." Tilting his head upwards he looked over at Kayla.
"It looks like you win this one. It was a great battle, your Cranidos is very formidable...Thank you for your help."

After watching Yero collaspe in a faint, Kayla did not really believe it until the growlithe was called back. She let out of relieved sigh as she slumped her shoulders. They were so close to losing another battle yet somehow they managed to make it.
Adira was panting and barely on her feet as she rested a bit. Kalya smiled pridely. "Come on back, Adira! You did great! Take a nice long rest and I'll treat ya to a sunbath." Taking out her pokeball, she claimed Adira back into it and placing it back onto her waistbelt.
Kayla looked up at Carter and smiled. "You fought a great battle. Yero almost had us real good. If it wasn't for that piece of luck, I would have been a goner." She was trying to cheer him up and letting him know not to give up too easily.
Kayla smiled as she blushed slightly. She shuffle her feet and squirmed a bit. "Well, after so many losses, I had to win at somepoint, don't I?" She looked up again. "And no problem! I enjoy helping trainers who need it." If you ever want to battle again for training purposes, then just holler!"
Kayla started to descend from the platform and looked back at Carter. "I guess I'll see you around. See ya!" With a wave, she turned around and headed for the pokemon center.

Carter shook his head with a small smile. "Luck was on both of our side at one point, I'd say you won this battle on skill." A hand dug itself into one of his pockets casually. "But seriously look, thank you for helping me out with this battle system. Yero can't get enough of the battle field and I know he appreciates it too."
After so many losses huh? Had he lost to a big looser? He truly doubted it, she ahd shown great strategy in the battle after all. "Well then, I'm glad to have helped turn around you're luck I guess. Oh and I will, we will have to battle again sometime for sure."
Yero's pokeball still clutched in his hand he waved at her as well and turned to exit the Stadium. "You did well Yero, I'll get you all healed up and treat you to a big dinner." Yero couldn't hear him of course, but Carter would make good on his promise none-the-less.
