Blinking away the dust and grit that attempted to cloud her vision she watched as the big male wrestled the root from its earthly home and carried it out of the hole. She couldn't help but smile at the disgusted look on the male's face at the taste of the thing. She knew well enough that it was foul at the best of times.

Pale blue gaze followed the male as he moved back, running over the sweat-soaked and breathless figure before she dipped her head, sniffing at the root carefully. A low, rich chuckle slipped from her before she lifted her head and studied the male again. Shifting a little, head turning slightly to the side she looked up at him that smirk still curling her muzzle. As if some secret thought amused her, or maybe it was the visions of death that seemed to dance in her eerily pale gaze.

"That depends on you." She replied smoothly, lifting her muzzle to peer at him closely. "You can leave here, but the road ahead of you will likely be short.. or you can honor our agreement, in return for the small part of your life I desire, I will keep you safe." She looked down at the root again. "Now, let us be off, we have a fair way to travail before sun-up. I have no desire to be caught out here when the light arrives."
