Dude-LAP Duke_619 Dude-LAP Duke_619 Dude-LAP lol, it seems like every conversation you're in relates to either Jeff Garcia or Tampa Bay xp well Jurevicius did play for Tampa....and is it a bad thing, i try to bring stuff into th econvo tht i know a lot about lol No, it's fine. Just noticed something, is all. But Jurevicius didn't really thrive in NY or TB, because they quarterback style really wasn't for him. He's more of a west coast offensive WR. he had 423 yds and 4 td's so that is kinda true, but without him tampa maynot have reached SuperBowl 37, and then go on to win it. He mad big plays when it counted. It didnt help that he had to share the feild with keyshawn Johnson, and Keenan McCardell. coach Gruden has always ran the West Coast offense in Tampa, 2002 being his first year with the buccaneers. So Jurevicius was playing the west coast offense Well KJ was the deep threat, while McCardell took Jurevicius' possession receiver role. But Gruden never handled the run game like a west coast offense. It only really seemed like he put more of an emphasis on the pass. Well that was Grudens first year, the run game was pretty bad in 2002, pittman had like 700 somethign yds and 1 TD, while alstott had almost 500 and 5 td's. Te run game has gotten better since. With DA i think that he will have a bad year and Quinn will end up starting after week 3 or so.

Even since then, their offense has gotten even better. A very good offensive line. Great receiving core with Edwards, Winslow, Stallworth, and Jurevicius. Also a good back in Jamal Lewis, to ease the pressure and stretch the game. I doubt that Quinn will play at all this upcoming season, and the still-young Derek Anderson will only get better. And even if Anderson does struggle at the beginning of the season, I think the Browns' coaching staff trusts him enough, not to replace him with Brady Quinn right away.

Second, I think that Derek Anderson is a fluke. He did nothing in 2006 when he played, well he did injur ehis wrist at the hands of chirs hovan on christmass eve (i was at tht game blaugh ) so i have no faith in anderson sorry

Good running game with Jamal Lewis. Great passing game with Braylon Edwards, Kellen Winslow, Joe Jurevicius, newly acquired Stallworth, and Josh Cribbs. Very good offensive line. Nothing will change, and they will continue to do well with Derek Anderson at the reins.

Duke_619 Dude-LAP The Browns offense will click. Stallworth joins Braylon Edwards, Kellen Winslow, and Joe Jerovicious in one of the best receiving cores in the NFL. The Cleveland offensive line is great. RB Jamal Lewis is one of the current elites. As for the QB situation, Derek Anderson should remain the starter. A Pro Bowler last season knows how to manage the Cleveland offense well. Brady Quinn is a reliable back-up, but should remain seated until Anderson departs or does not perform well. The Browns gave up a lot to select Quinn in the 2007 draft, but they did not know that Derek Anderson would be this good. ITS SPELLED JUREVICIUS!!!! lol (i met im, nice as hell, I brought my buccaneers stuff, he signed it, and thought it was cool tht i knew stuff about his past.) you met Joe Jurevicius???? OMG I loooove him so much he's amazing!! He was really good with the Seahawks too. I was so pissed when I found out we lost him. Can you get me his autograph too? sweatdrop whee whee whee

He was also a good route runner, but he was in single or no coverage mos of the time.

The Browns situation with Anderson and Quinn reminds of the Chargers situation with Rivers and Brees. The Browns should stick with Anderson til he proves he can't lead the team, unfortunately Quinn is a big money sink and sooner or later they're gonna have to go with Quinn.

Good point with how the Browns invested so much money (and draft day trades) on Brady Quinn. They'll be eager to get their worth for him, but as long as things are positive for Derek Anderson, they'll stick with Anderson at QB. I don't think it's too similar to the Chargers QB situation a few years ago. Rivers wasn't as proven as Quinn was in college. The Chargers also got a pretty good deal in the Rivers-Manning trade, which eventually sent them Shawn Merriman and Nate Kaeding (as the Browns gave up a lot). Also, Brees hadn't had much success in San Diego (whereas he would for the Saints) and Anderson has made a statement with a huge Pro Bowl year.
