What had he just called her? Sureika's eyes tilted upward at the old words, the old feelings. Everything was rushing back to her and the sound of his voice calling her his beloved.. He had always had a way of making her submissive, of doing what no other male could ever do. He had tamed her. She, the one who had been a force to be reckoned with, was nearly a kitten whenever around him. "Friends..." She swallowed hard, her eyes cast into the distance. "Magnolia I'm assuming?" She was finding it harder and harder to keep her wits about her in this sudden surprise. She had never lost her love for him, no matter how badly she tried to convince herself that she hated him, that he had forgotten about her.
"I've been... raising my children.." A deep breath found escape from her lips. Should she tell him? Should he know? Her eyes turned, meeting his in a direct gaze. "Our children..." The words almost stuck in her throat.
Tasunke wasn't as surprised as Lana had been, he was still expecting his mother to go off like a rocket and so his attention was spent in studying the conversation that the two were having. When he heard the words that this man might be their father... Tasunke began to panic. "Lana.. we need to get out of here.. now." Their mother couldn't catch them now, if she did he was too afraid of what would happen. Surely Kamea wouldn't be that stupid to get involved with his mother again, would he?

Kamea watched Sureika and sighed lightly. She was just as beautiful when he had met her a long while ago. He had always had feeling for her and still did. He looked down at his paws. He was surprised to run into her again and was pleased that he had. He had missed her so even though most lions didn't understand how he could love her but he did and that was final. He looked up when he mentioned Magnolia. He nodded. "She is one of my good friends Suri. She was there for me when you left....." He mumbled. He looked at the two behind him that were somewhere. "Those are yours?..." He was slightly shocked because of how the children acted it seemed like she abused them. He looked back at her then frowned at her gaze. "Our?" He chocked out. "You mean you were pregnant when you...." He couldn't believe it but could he trust her? She had always had a way though of having him wrapped around her finger like a string. He shook his head. "You mean you hanau my cubs? And then didn't come to find me?" He was hurt slightly. He never had any children and this was big to him.
Lana looked at her brother then back at the two. She gasped when she heard that the large gray male might be his father. She looked at her mother shocked. She couldn't believe it. She wanted to go and tell him to go and run as quick as he could but she saw how her mother was acting and wanted to see how this would be. She looked at her brother. "Why?..." She mumbled. She was curious at why her mother was so kind to this male in a way she had never seen.

Sureika swallowed hard and turned her head. Pain was clear in her eyes at his accusing nature. "Good... tell Magnolia thank you... she's done more for you than I could..." Her voice trailed off as her tail flicked around her protectively. "Its slightly silly... isn't it? I've never been the mothering type, we both knew that.. I'm afraid I'm doing more harm to those kids than helping them.." Her eyes slightly moved along his body, tears welling in her blue orbs. "Tasunke looks so much like you... it scares me... they both act like you." Gritting her teeth as a pang of guilt rushed over her, she had to fight her own nature to not lash out in her own pain. "How was I suppose to come back?! After what happened... after leaving, I was suppose to simply walk back into your life and tell you about them?? No Kamea... I had done you enough harm..." Her fast was now downcast toward the ground as she thought, trying hard to keep herself calm.
"Because... I don't like where this is going.." Tasunke frowned. "I'm afraid we'll be punished." Tasunke backed up slightly, fear in his eyes. He wanted to protect his sister and make her feel better and all he could see coming out of this situation was more trouble.

Kamea watched Sureika. He wasn't sure what to think. He sighed and shook his head when she mentioned Magnolia doing more then she could. "She just helped me get back up on my paws again....." He looked at her with soft but hurt eyes. "...Yes...Silly..." He shifted slightly in his stance and looked back to where the cubs last were then back at Sureika. He looked down when she mentioned Tasunke and Lana. He felt some kind of pain in his gut for not being there for them. His brows formed together as a frown and he looked up at her when she said about his pain. He shook his head softly. "The only reason I was and still am in pain is because you walked out of my life. Just gone. I never thought that would happen to me because...well I was a lovesick puppy back then...." He muttered walking towards her slowly but made sure to keep his distance and he wanted her to come to him. He watched her lightly seeing her reaction. He didn't want to cause her anymore pain but if she came to him it would show she still had love for him.
Lana looked up at her brother then nodded and stood up. She looked back at the two then looked at her brother. "What if he is our father Tasunke?" Her voice trembled at the thought but she was also afraid if their mother found them. She moved out of view of the adults and next to her brother.

"I.... I'm not sure he is Lana... Mama... might be playing a joke on us.." He mused a bit with his own reaction at the two adults. None of this made any sense to him. Their mother had always said that their father was good for nothing and they were never to mention anything about him. However, Tasunke knew that this male wasn't that, so it couldn't be their father. It was out of the question.
"Kamea..." Sureika's eyes went downcast as a trickling of tears fell down her furred cheeks. She didn't want this. She didn't want to see him again, nor to feel this way. She didn't want to cause him anymore pain, though at the same time she couldn't help but hate him for everything that had happened. Somehow blaming him for everything that happened was easier. When her watery eyes lifted to see him come near she felt her heart skip. In front of her was the lion she loved, the very one she had given everything to.. so why did she despise him so much? "...I was scared..." She said quietly, trying to keep her place on the grass but she knew it wouldn't last long. The more he watched her the more all she wanted to do was embrace him, cry to him.. let him know that everything was okay like she use to. So much had changed but somehow she could never shake her inevitable weakness to him.
Moving up, she came closer, hesitantly, gently letting her muzzle stroke his cheek for the first time in probably a year. So much pain was held in that one gesture, but also so much love she had forgotten. Even with the male she ran away with she had never let him love her, she had never let anyone love her before until Kamea. And now she was beginning to understand that she might not ever let anyone else love her again...

Kamea didn't like to see her cry. It tore at him but he remembered the tears he had cried and the ones he probably would be crying soon. He took a hesitant step forward when she didn't move for a moment. She was something that he couldn't forget something that stayed in you mind like an annoying song but you knew every word. What he was feeling wasn't knew to him. He had tried to find other mates but failed since they had not kept his attention. They were to plan and dull for him or maybe he was just used to Sureika so much that he didn't want others. He shifted slightly looking down. He had to force himself to stay in one place and not to comfort her. He looked up at her and sighed. "Fear is something you rarely show Ku`u Lei..." He mumbled softly.
When she came over to him his heart skipped a beat and he noticed the way she looked and nuzzled her back lightly and licked the tears off her face. "Don't show weakness..." He whispered softly against her fur.
Lana blinked a few times. A joke? Their mother was crying. Would she be so cruel to play a joke like that on her and Tasunke? She looked on at the adults. Tasunke did look like the male and she had more of her mothers features. She tilted her head to the side. Where they really like him? She shook her head. Her mother said he was nothing of importance and they should never really ask of him again. She frowned and looked up at her brother wandering if he was confused also.
Once again the werid looking word is My beloved XD

"Eh...." Tasunke took an even further step back. "I don't trust them Lana..." At this point he believed that anything could happen, and all he really cared about was keeping Lana safe. He had to agree that he had never seen his mother so emotional before, but perhaps it was just a more elaborate scheme to keep the children on a leash. He didn't trust anyone who knew his mother.
Sureika couldn't stop the tears now even if she had given over all of her willpower. She was usually a very strong lioness, she always had to be but no matter how she tried to fight it... around him she was that weak feline she hated. "....I don't like being scared.... that's why... that's why I left... all of this... scared me.." Hiccup-like sobs were now making their way and she couldn't control herself. Leaning against him, she burried her face against his mane.

Kamea frowned. He didn't like her crying. It made him see one side he didn't like seeing. He sighed lightly and nuzzled her "Please don't cry Suri...." He mumbled. He cooed to her lightly trying to stop her crying. All of this....? He frowned. So was she scared of him or...He shook his head lightly then nuzzled her once more. "Everything will be okay...." He said softly.
Lana looked at her brother "Why not? He hasn't done anything for us not to trust him...." She looked back at them. She wanted to go look at the male to really see if he was like them. She also wanted to comfort her mother. She had never seen her like this even if she was mean she still need to be loved.

Sureika slowly moved herself so her eyes could face him. The warmth of his body was intoxicating and just as always she had lost herself in the feeling. "Do you remember... what I was like before we met..?" She was still staying close to him, not daring to move away for the sake of her broken heart. "..I was... so fearless... and arrogant.. no one... nothing was good enough for me.. I was the daughter of a baron... heir to the fortune... And then you came along... you changed everything..." Her voice was like a whimper as it came. Those were the days when she was so sure of herself, before him.. before the kids... when she thought that everything was perfect. She had given that life up for Kamea and without realizing it she had forced herself down a spiraling road. She wanted that life back, she wanted her money and trinkets.. her status.. But now she was a single mother with two cubs. Life had a funny way of destroying everything.
Tasunke shook his head. He wasn't about to approach his mother, or this male. Their mother had warned them plenty of times what would happen if she was bothered while busy. He tried to protect Lana but he could only go so far. Lana had a strong will of her own when she wanted to and he wasn't about to break it like their mother would. "Then choose for yourself... but I'm not going."

Kamea looked at her as she faced him. He kept his eyes on her not wanting to lose the sight of her like she was a dream or an illusion. He loved her more then everything but sometimes he wandered why. He thought for a moment. Before he meet her he was the son of a huge pride and was to go with another female. "....Yes...I remember...." he sighed lightly. He didn't like his past. Always when he thought about it he remember Suri so he stopped himself most of the time. He looked back at her and listened to her. He nuzzled her lightly. "We can not change our past but we can change our future. We can make the future maika`i or we can make it anuanu....It depends on us.....And the children. I want this to be a happy thing though they hide...Like I am some kind of monster in a fairy tail...." He sighed softly and nuzzled her softly. "What have you done to them...." He whispered lightly.
Lana looked at her brother then sighed lightly and etched forward towards the two with her head down. "Are you okay Mommy?" She asked in a small voice. She wanted to make sure she was okay even though she knew she could be in trouble.

For a while Suri had begun to relax against him, enjoying the feeling of his fur and his warmth, wanting nothing more than to be close to him. However, at the last of his words that dramatically changed. She was taken back and abruptly lurched, staring at him with such an astounded expression. Was he seriously accusing her of harming the kids? "How could you even ask such a thing...!" Anger was now filling her, and rather quickly by the moods she was now going through. "I would never harm them! They're my children dammit!" Sureika hissed, pulling her body away from him when she caught sight of Lana approaching. Frowning, her once content movements were now replaced by jerky strides. She didn't want her daughter to see her like this. "I'm... I'm fine Lana.." It was easy to tell she was lying because the tears had begun to flow again. "We should probably go home.." She leaned down and gave her little look-alike a nuzzle on the cheek, eying Kamea in a glare at the same time.

Kamea watched her calmly and looked back at her. He was sure something was up by the way the children were acting. "They seem scared. Just something I observed talking to them." He sighed. Good going you big fool. His mind muttered then he looked towards the little female. He had a straight face and watched Suri. Such a reaction. He sighed lightly and sat down. "Don't run again Suri. And if these two are my children I want to help raise them." He said sternly but with soft eyes. He wasn't going to let them walk out of his life again.
Lana looked at her mother confused by her mothers sudden change. She looked up at her mama. "But you were crying. Why?" She looked at the male then at her mother and smiled lightly at the nuzzle but looked up at her mother with eyes worried. She didn't want her mother sad.

"Did I say that I needed your help in raising them or that your help was even wanted?!" She snapped, unable to get her anger under control. "Of course they're scared.. there are scary things in this world." Her voice didn't deter from the hiss that was previously in it as she eyed him. Growling, she turned to look at Lana. "Don't worry about it... I'm alright. Please.. lets go." She mumbled, turning her back toward Kamea to walk away.
Tasunke had been watching this whole time. He wasn't entirely sure that he understood it, or that he even believed what was going on. However, it was possible that this was real, and if it were than it meant that his mother turned soft around this male, he didn't want that to go away. "No!" He exclaimed as he walked out of the grass. "No Mama... I want him to stay. If he is our father... than I want to get to know him." He looked up with pleading eyes. "Please?" It may not seem like it but he wanted to do this for his mother. She seemed... happier with this male around, even despite the crying. He wanted her to be happy, he wanted his family to be happy and maybe they would finally have that chance with this lion.
Surprise ran over Sureika's expression. "Tasunke..."

Kamea sighed. He knew that was coming. "I was just saying incase you needed it and if you don't want it apparently this will never work." he stood up to walk off when he heard the little male. He stopped and turned looking at the little male. A soft smile appeared over his face but he looked at Suri it faded. She was clearly surpised. He walked alittle closer but stayed a few feet away. He smiled at the small cub and sat down again looking at Suri.
Lana shook her head and was about to say something when Tasunke came out. She looked at her brother then at her mother and nodded in agreement with him and looked at her with pleading eyes also. Their mother was so happy around him a mintue ago and she liked that for her mother. "Please Mommy? We will make him be good!" She said walking closer to her mother and nuzzling Sureika's leg lightly then looked up at her.

Sureika swallowed hard while looking from cub to cub and then finally to Kamea. "Do you really want to take this risk with Magnolia..? I'm sure she'd have my head as soon as she found me..." It was the only excuse she could come up with though she knew it would easily be cast aside. She knew she couldn't keep him from her children, or even keep her children from him for that matter, he was their father. She had done plenty of harm to him.. probably to all three of them by keeping this secret and it was probably about time that she owned up to her mistakes. "You should probably speak to her..." Moving down, she lowered her head to give Lana a soft nuzzle. "I suppose... if he's good..."
Tasunke blinked as he glanced over at Lana. "Who is Magnolia Mama?" He was now curious as he had never heard mention of this lion before.
Sureika's eyes moved away from Kamea. The bit of explanation she needed to give the cubs was a sad one, and she didn't feel right saying it around him. Sighing, she moved in close, "Magnolia was Kamea's sister's mate... Kamea's sister died.. Magnolia sort of tries to fill that void now..." She wasn't sure the cubs would understand, but it was the truth nonetheless and she felt no need to water it down.
