I don't think i believe in soulmates. I wish i did, but yeah, what about crazy/murdering people? I think that some people just "click" better than others, and some people never find someone to "click" with as well as another person...

I totally believe in soul mates. I think I've found mine. I can be my total self around him, and he loves it. He's helped me forget about my previous relationship, which was really awful. He's always there, and there's nothing about him I don't like. He's perfect to and for me.

As sad and horrible as it may seem I don't believe in soulmates. I thought that I had found mine as I experienced a love beyond any, but in the end it came to the light that she didn't have the same feelings for me as i later found out that she was cheating on me, so answer me this; how twisted and corrupt is a fate that will give someone a "one true love" that doesn't have the same feelings for them, oh sure she said she did but that was obviously BS. Not only do I not find it convincing that fate exists but i don't want to believe in something that would be so cruel to so many people.
I found my soulmate, but not she her's, is fate so cruel or does it not exist? If it does then I scream to the heavens that have cursed me so: the simple but all too painful word: "Why?"

I completely agree that everyone has a soul mate. I found mine. (read one of the love topics on here). Some people might not believe in it just yet. Maybe because you are still a bit young or maybe because you aren't looking in the right places. I found mine at a place I didn't like to go to. You never know. biggrin

Um, no. I don't believe. True love yea but not Soul-mate. I belive in reincarnation and since it's a soul mate you'd really only be able to love (playing on the words) that person who's also being reincarnated but since some people die single, having lived their lives single, I can't say that I do.

I believe we all have more than one soul mate. We just pick the one that is more convinient. Also, about the whole dreams thing. I read this book called echos of the soul.(Because I'm just awesome and nerdy like that.) Anyway. She was talking about how dreams, usually your soul travels to see another soul. That could be where you're getting these dreams before you met. Your souls might have known eachother in the past. It all sounds not so real, but if you read the book, it acually starts to make sense. wink

Soul Mates are one of the impossibilities I believe in both before and after breakfast.
First I do not consider a soul mate to be someone with whom you get along perfectly. You will never get along with anyone perfectly unless one of you is a dominant asstard and the other a doormat. The disagreements may be small, like which brand of coffee is better, or they may be large, like child rearing philosophies when you have kids. Most likely there will be disagreements of varying sizes.
Second a soulmate could be a mate using the Australian usage of the word mate. A good friend with whom you have a strong connection. My partner has a friend who I think falls into this category, they've know each other for over 20 years and are closer to each other than most people these days are to their families.
Third you could have a soulmate type connection with someone you can't stand at all! This would be someone you're drawn to, even though you can't stand them.
Fourth you are not limited to one Soulmate. There could be several people you have this level of connection to.

I definitely believe in soul mates. I'm actually holding out for mine. 24 years old and never been kissed. Do I believe everyone is lucky enough to find theirs? No. Sometimes their soul mate is right under their nose and they let their head rule over their heart or can't see beneath the surface. Sometimes you find your soul mate only to be separated after a short time. I feel that mine is out there somewhere, and I have even dreamed of him... but sometimes I wonder if we'll ever meet or if I'm holding myself back from opening myself up to love by waiting for lightning to strike. Personally, I don't think lightning will actually strike, but after a day in that person's company I think I can pretty much tell whether or not I'm attracted to them - intellectually, emotionally, and physically. I think when I actually meet my destined soul mate I will feel at least something... even if it is just a twinge of mild interest to know him more.

I don't believe in soul mates, but you may get very close to one, but by chance, not by destiny. I know many people that have had horrible marriages, and never found that someone. Hey, studies show that 1 in two married couples will divorce before they die. not what I call destiny. there is no such thing as the "perfect" couple.

Half_Monkey As sad and horrible as it may seem I don't believe in soulmates. Why should we think of that as sad and horrible? That really irks me, that we're supposed to pity people who don't believe in something as unrealistic as magic. Some people you get along with, some you don't. Some make you feel comfortable, some don't. It's a matter of meeting someone who suits your personality and vice versa. And just because a relationship doesn't last forever doesn't mean it wasn't important or meaningful or even real love. Love is not a constant.

I believe...in something. I don't believe love can last forever, even though I'd love that. It's just...sad. I love someone, so much...everything about him. We talk and like a lot of the same things and he's the first really intelligent guy that has stayed my friend. He's my best friend, he's pretty much everything, yet I've had so many friends just leave me because they found someone that was a better friend in their opinion. There's always someone better. There's always regrets. There will be the fights, the upsets, the breakups, even if we want it to last forever. As said in one of the best songs ever, Who wants to live forever when love must die? (ILU QUEEN!) I don't, but I believe that there is someone that you could be happy with and not want it to end, but...I don't think anyone could be happy with me always, no matter what he tells me. There are plenty of girls more beautiful than me and more intelligent and special.

I believe in soul mates. That there is one for everybody, be they gay or straight. It's something that I have always thought about.

I believe in soul mates. I haven't met mine, but I hope I will. We need something to believe in.
