Angel shook her head. "You know that I don't believe in retaliation. Karma is, after all, a total b**ch. The Slytherins will get what's coming to them, sooner or later." Angel had the personality of a flower child, since that was generally how her parents had raised her: calm, cool, independent, and fighting the "man". So she totally believed in peace, karma, and things of that nature. But unlike her parents, she didn't like hippie fashions. She peferred things that were wilder and funkier, such as her hair. For instance, today she was wearing a pair of earrings that looked like chicks hatching out of eggs. And being that they were magical items, they sometimes peeped loudly, which was usually pretty cute.
Angel stretched her hand out and scratched the cat lightly behind the ears. Smething about cats always made Angel want to pet or scratch them behind the ears. This made Angel think about her own cat, Sunshine, who was probably up in the dorms, lounging on her bed. Angel loved the sun and had given her cat that name because the cat's yellow eyes reminded her of that.

Leaning into the other girl's unexpected complaisance, Pepper's purr grew into a low, pleased rumble. 'Not that I'm not enjoying the attention, but... My back is really starting to bother me,' she thought, tail twitching as Pepper fought the urge to reach up with her paw to relieve the burning itch. Lifting herself onto all fours, she arched her back, hoping one of the Hufflepuffs would get the hint and scratch her where she really wanted it.

By the time small footsteps could be heard pitter-pattering towards the Hufflepuff entrance, an out-of-breath witch wore a large smile as she threw a look over her shoulder. Surely, no matter how long those boys’ legs were, she had them beat. Even if Pip happened to stumble up the stairs a few times….they couldn’t possibly have gained that much ground during her floundering moments…could they? After all, she did get a good head start. But admittedly, the blond wasn’t the best runner, what with her clumsy balance and distracted mind. Which was why, once again, Pippa’s foot managed to tangle with her other and send her sprawling across the corridor floor. Perhaps constantly looking behind her wasn’t the best choice….
Gritting at the ache on her legs and bum as she stood, Pippa didn’t stop for a second to check her knees, which were sporting slightly bleeding scratches by now. Instead, the determined witch gasped and wheezed her way completely to the hidden entrance and attempted to spit out the password. “Drehemsnickacklelumps.” No use. Her words were too broken and jumbled for the door to accept them as the password and allow her entrance. So taking in a heaping breath and forcing her heart to slow as she bent over and rested her palms upon her sticky knees-- “Oh gross!” Immediately Pippa jumped back to standing and examined her ‘wounds’ with quirked interest. All the while wondering how such small scrapes could produce so much.. Red.
Whiping her hands off, Pip didn’t even notice she was smearing small stains on her white uniform shirt. No, instead her interest was on keeping an eye out for her two favorite boys while taking a final breat and uttering the password, “Dreamsnackle! HA!” Her voice slammed out and bounced against the portrait entrance in her triumph of finally producing the correct word. Earning a scowl from the portrait beings that resided in the same hallway. She simply smiled sheepishly and set one foot within the common room while the rest of her body stayed in the corridor. After all, Pippa Darling really did want to start the year entering her home with her closest friends. “Hurry up you ninnies!” A sing song, teasing voice floated down the hallway.
(( I'm so, so terribly sorry it took me so long to respond. Just got busy with school. I've missed everyone!!! ))

Addriene stumbled into the common room after her shower and she was dressed. Her curly hair was pulled back into a decent half-pony and her glasses were as high up on her nose as they could go. Addriene fiddled with her tie sleepily, she was still sort of out of it. The shower didn't exactly wake her up as she had planned it too.
Her purple bag was slung across her shoulders and the pack part beat against her leg as she walked. Forgetting about her mismatched socks, Addriene sat down on a couch and looked around, giving up on her tie. She let it hand loose, limp, and wrinkled around her neck.
Addriene yawned loudly and stretched her arms high, already wishing that the day was over and she could talk to Luis. Hmm, maybe she'd sit at the Slytherin table this morning just to annoy him and Judas.
'Good plan. Good plan,'she thought to herself.

Jesse clambered into the portrait hole after Pippa, moving to rush right past her and up to his room so he could grab his summer project. As he went by, however, he noticed that Pippa's white uniform as streaked with red, and he screeched to a halt and whirled back around, creating a rather comical effect. He hurried back to her and took hold of her wrists, turning her palms up so he could look at her hands. "Pip, what've you done now?" He inspected her hands closely but didn't see any scratches, so he glanced her up and down.
He spotted her scraped knees and knelt down, placing a hand behind her left knee and pulling it forward, so her foot was resting on one of his knees, and her scrapes were easily visible. He looked at them closely, and, deciding it was nothing too bad, relaxed and grinned up at her. "Well, looks like you haven't managed to do any permanent damage this time, Pip. Try not to deprive us of your lovely company too soon, eh?" He glanced back down at her knee, letting his hand trail down the back of her calf absently while he inspected the cuts. He was suddenly distracted, however, by how smooth her skin was, and... He stood up, dropping his hand and clearing his throat, saying with very uncharacteristic gruffness, "Well, I'll, er, go get my project and uh, Archer can take care of you, all right?" He turned and hurried up to the dormitory, frowning. What by Merlin's baggy trousers was that?
(( So, I know we've moved on to the next day but I was thinking we should probably finish up tonight? ))

Sasha nodded to Angel, saying, "Yes, I always admired your ability to let things be." She chuckled. "And you're probably right, I'm sure everyone will eventually reap what they sow. So what are you most excited for, being back?"
She smiled down at the Cat while Angel petted her ears, and laughed when she arched her back, reaching down to give it a good scratch. "Where's your boy, shouldn't he be paying you more attention?"
Sasha gave a large yawn and stretched her arms, standing up. "Well, it's pretty late and we have class tomorrow, so we should probably be getting to bed, eh?" She turned and walked towards the girls dorms, giving a small wave to Pippa, who had just crashed through the entrance, as she went.

Angel smiled at Sasha's compliment. "Being back...I'm most excited for...I don't really know." she said. Truthfully, she loved everything about Hogwarts, even the mean Slytherins and the scary Forbidden Forest. She thought for a moment. "I guess the thing I'm excited for the most is the O.W.L.S. It's both exciting and unnerving." she finally replied.
When Sasha mentioned how late it was, Angel pushed the sleeve of her robe back to reveal a wristwatch that perfectly matched her uniform. The watch, a special little thing that she had charmed last year from being an ordinary muggle wristwatch, had the ability to change colors to match anything she was wearing, even if all she was wearing was a hair scrunchie. "You're right. It is so late." she said when she saw the time displayed on the watch. She got off the couch and grabbed her little bag, which she had dropped next to the couch and proceeded to follow Sasha up the stairs to the girls' dormitory.

Eyes closing blissfully as Sasha scratched her back, Pepper barely heard the human girl's question. Turning her nose up at the mention of 'her boy', she stood where she was, content to let the girls continue to fawn over her. And then, just as suddenly as she had appeared earlier, they were gone, headed down the other tunnel out of the Common Room. 'Figures. She finally gets the spot, and then she up and leaves me... Humans.' Not one to mope for long though, she leapt into the abandoned armchair and curled up, basking in the warmth of the still crackling fire. Pepper began to idly wash her paws, carefully observing the one girl still in the Common Room with one green eye.

Breezing through the underground tunnel and through the Common Room, Makoto nearly missed the sight of his cat curled up in an armchair near the fireplace. A soft smile graced his lips as he went over to scratch gently behind her ears. "Morning, pumpkin," he whispered as her eyes opened. She gazed solemnly at him for a moment before sighing and laying her head back down. 'Guess she had a long night,' he thought, chuckling just a bit as he climbed out the portrait hole.

Dawn sat stretched out in one of the overstuffed couches, being lazier than normal as she couldn't even find the strength to pet Elliot who had recently jumped onto her lap. He was nuzzling her hand, and had been for a few good minutes, trying to get her to pet him. She looked down at Elliot's black and brown coat and met his calm emerald eyes with her translucent blue orbs. "Your so needy", muttered Dawn as she began to pet Elliot who instantly began to purr like a motorboat. As she lounged on the comfy couch she thought of the things she should be doing, such as adding three more inches to her essay for History of Magic, ordering more supplies for Potions, reading the chapters for Charms, DoDA, and Transfiguration. God, she had a lot to do.

Mysti had a few books in her arms as she made her way to the Hufflepuff Common Room from the Library. Aside from the books in her arms, she still had a few others in her bag, which was draped over one shoulder. As she walked in, she saw the fourth year girl sitting on a couch. "Hi, Dawn. How's it going?" she asked as she went over to a table to set the books down. Taking the bag off her shoulder, she set it down on the table with her books.
Mysti then took a seat at the table and started reading through some of the information in the biggest of the books. Though Mysti wasn't much of a studier, she felt it necessary if she were to pass her classes this year. The past few years hadn't been too hard for her, but the teachers were all stepping up the lessons now. 6th year work is harder than she would have thought, but she was determined to at least pass all her classes.
