Triska Knowing isn't enough. As it was, non of them could break the last barrier. It had to take a tremendose amount of power to do so. Something Filia didn't have. And neither did Xellos. He needed Filia to cast at him so he could combine it with his own to have the power. Ah, but you have the order wrong. Xellos used that trick before Filia began to take off the final spell. I do believe the Elder, forgot his name, appeared right before she started to crack at it. It might have taken her a LOT longer, but we never know, now do we? I mean, she never got the chance to after. It could be that those other barriors set up by the Golds were mearly warning traps set up so Elder could tell when one is trying to steal the treasuer. And, as I said in the Offical Slayers Guild, Xellos/Zegladis is one of my most dispised couplings. Ever.

Xellos/Lina: I have no idea why so many people like this one. Aside from when Xellos kissed her those two times, in the Artemey (sp?) Tower episode and the one where Xel is introduced, I see nothing between them.
Xellos/Amelia: This works even less well than Lina. Not a very popular coupling either.
Xellos/Filia: This is the one they hint at in the series. Their clothes and hair are even opposites, but I still don't like this one. Then again, I don't really like any Xellos pairing, because they are all impossible really.
I hate the Xel/Zel coupling as well. What do people see between them? I don't get it...

The majority of the rabid yaoi fangirls out there like this because whenever there are two [main] male characters who just don't get along at all, to put it lightly, then their brains just automatically go "OMFG! they r liek SO a couple!!!!1111one11" I don't understand why they do this, but it happens with any/every anime. Actually Xel/Zel is my favorite fanon coupling, but is 'cause I KNOW it could never happen and therefore is fun to joke about XD

Sadly, they'd probably go together better than Zelgadis and Xellos, though. But pretty much all the fan pairings disturb me greatly.
