Jess frowned. "Fine, we don't have to tell Dumbledore. First we need to find a spell...if there is one...to hide that mark. And then we'll have to think of a plan to get you away from Bella and the rest of the horrible crew you call your house mates." She stood up and started browsing the neverending book cases. "Hmmm, where to look first? Dark Magic? Magic Fixes? 100 and 1 Magical Jinxs, Hexs, and Spells? Potions for the Everyday Wizard?" Jess muttered as she looked over the book titles.

"Everyday Charms for the Young Witch" Kate muttered, "use that. I use complextion charms from that book whenever I had a breakout in my first year." she blushed.
"It should cover it up, I also used it for...bruises and such" she whispered the last part.
She subconsciously tugged her sleeve down, even though it still hid the mark, I guess that was to become a habbit of hers.
Her eyes welled with tears, she still couldn't believe she did what she did.
"And all of this for a guy I will never have" she muttered to herself sadly.

"Oh?" She found the book on the top shelf of one of the book cases and took it down. She blew the light layer of dust off of its cover and walked back to the couch. "Hmm. Cover spells...cover spells..." she muttered flipping a few pages. "Ah here we go." She took out her wand and pulled up Kate's sleeve. She muttered a spell and toucheed her wand to her arm. "There ya go." She said. "It's not perfect but now you can pass off the mark as a birth mark or something." She said looking down at the smudge on Kate's arm.

"Oh yes, most attractive" she drawled. She was part veelah for Merlins sake! She did not have gastly birth marks, or anything of the sort!
She sighed, this was to be a reminder of the single most important mistake she ever committed in her like.
If she was caught, by anyone, it would not only resort in her immediate expulsion from Hogwarts but, a one way ticket to Azakaban prison.
Not a very pretty picture.

Jess closed the book and frowned. "I'm sorry I can't do anything better. I might be able to whip you up a potion to take care of the smudge. It might not look as bad as it is now..." she turning her focus to the book cases once more.

"I can do my own potions" she spat, "I'm particularly good at them too" she glared.
This whole thing was making her feel very angry inside, and she didn't likes it in the least.
It frightened her.
However she was convinced that she was one of the most accomplished potion students in her House, well...next to Severus of course.
So she easily got jealous if someone were to offer her to make potions for her when she could easily do it herself.

"Oh, ha, that's right. You are a Slytherin after all. If you need help...just let me know." She replied sounding slightly defeated. "Well..what now?" She asked folding her hands in her lap.

Kate ran an exasperated hand through her long hair in frustration.
"I dont know what to do about this" she said, "I will be expected to do such horrible things! I dont know if I can! What if I'm forced to kill someone Jess, if I dont...I'll be killed!"
Yes, she was freaking out.
But really, who wouldn't in her case?

"We'll figure something out, Kate. I'm sure we can dodge the bullet at least a few times before we get things settled. And you won't be asked to kill anyone. We'll find away out of that if you are. Trust me, Kate, we'll make things better." Jess wrapped Kate in a one arm hug.

"You don't understand" she shouted, pushing her away.
"He asked Bella to use the Cruciatus curse on me! And she did! A-And afterwards he...he..." she bursted into tears.
"I don't want that to happen again! You have no idea what it feels like to have your innocence taken like that!"
She started to shake as she hugged herself.
"He'll want me to do it again...I just know it!"

Jess was at a loss for words. She didn't like seeing her friend in so much pain. She took a deep breath and suggested something she thought she would probably regret. "Then we'll fight back. We can get James and Lilly and everyone else to help us."

Jessica sighed, a deep exhale through her nose. "I think having James and Lilly on our side would..." she stopped when she saw Kate glare at her. "Alright, we'll go with your plan."

Kate smirked, she loved getting her way.
"Listen" she said, comming closer to whisper in her ear, "I'm terribly sorry for Bellatrix hurting Lily like that. But you must believe me when I tell you that I had no part in it."
She took out something from her shirt and pulled out a silver locket. Fumbling with the latch, she finally opened it and showed her the pictures inside.
One side was a picture of her slytherin buddies, Lucius, Bella, Severus, and etc. laughing and having a good old time, well...Severus just scowled as he always did.
The other had a picture of two young girls, they looked to be just entering their first year. By the look of the background they were on the Hogwarts express. Both girls were stuffing their mouths full of various candies and hugging each other, both excited to be going to Hogwarts.
"You remember this dont you?" she asked

Jessica nodded. "I know you didn't. But I think it's Lilly who needs to hear an appology. At least from Bella." She said. She felt a pang of sadness and longing for their younger years. "Yeah..." She whispered. She ran her finger over the locket picture and then fumbled with her pockets. She pulled out her own silver locket and opened it. Inside was a picture of her, James, Lilly, Sirius etc. sharing drinks at the Three Broom Sticks on one side and on the opposite side was the same picture of her and Kate. She smiled. "Looks like we both added new pictures, huh?"
