The Headmaster grinned. "How well...rehearsed." laughing a little, he apologized.

"I forget my manners. Well, Ms. Rosalin, one thing is certain - our students will give you a challenge, but in a way you're not expecting. I'll not spoil the surprise, I'm sure a smart girl like you will find out on your own. I do have a few rules to convey to you before I let you begin unpacking. First, no one is allowed inside the Gateway house. Second, Do try to avoid wandering into Oak and Keystone Dormitories. The boys of Oak and the...students...of Keystone will probably not appreciate untoward visitors. Other than that, do your best and if you have questions don't hesitate to ask. After all, if you don't ask, you'll never know."

"He pulled a key from his desk drawer and handed it to her. You will have the first room in Maple, room 101. Is there anything else you'd like to know?"

"In a manner of speaking. The Keystone Students have special needs that make it necessary for them to have secluded dorms. They are not dangerous of course, but I prefer to have them all in one place." He was unsure about how to approach the issue of the Keystone student's powers. He fumbled around with potential explanations before settling on one.

"Do you believe in other worlds, Ms. Rosalin? Other realms I mean...parallel to this one?" He watched her expression from behind his glasses.

"Well, you're about to get a better education than you could ever imagine." He paused to set down his cup. "I'll tell you what, you obviously passed those two students who arrived before you, correct? I have a challenge for you. They have just been admitted to the Keystone program here. Why not ask them the same question I just asked you. They'll be around campus eventually today, but when you have your answer, why not come back here for another talk with me?"

"Precisely. They'll give you your first official Grove Academy Lesson." He stood as she did.

"Good luck, and I'll see you when you return. Don't forget that you may do with your room as you wish - make it feel like home." He guided her to the door and closed it gently behind her.

He knew that Sebastian and Evangeline would think this a strange event, but hoped that they would be able to help him with this first lesson.

Ella made her way down the hallway, smiling as she always did. She was humming softly, tugging her rolling suitcase behind her.
' Alright, here it is.' She set her suitcase and guitar on a bench outside the office, and knocked smartly on the door, waiting for a response.

Ella poked her head in the doorway, before quickly making her way in and closing the door behind her. She smiled brightly and the headmaster, before dipping into a quick curtsy and speaking.
" Hello sir, Im Ellanore Hayes." Her british accent was obvious. She tugged her acceptance letter from her pocket and set it gently on his desk, all in a respectful and friendly manner.

Ella said a quiet 'thank you' and poured herself a cup. She wasn't quite used to drinking coffee, she drank tea more often, but liked what she had tasted. She smiled brightly.
" Yes infact, I do. I've heard around the campus that the Keystone students are a good bit..different than the rest of us. Can you elaborate on that, or is the information not for human ears?" She asked, sticking the key into her pocket.

Ella blushed softly and looked down at her hands, which were currently wringing themselves out in her lap.
" Not much, sir. Just that some of them have certain powers, or aren't human. Most of the rumors are just that, rumors." She flushed again, looking up at him.
" Im quite alright not knowing, sir. What they are and where they come from is their own business, and I wouldn't want to pry." She smiled softly, taking another sip of her coffee.
