She turned and smiled down at him. He seemed to try to act like he was older, or something like that. "Tsotsi is a cute name" She said with a nod. Interesting as well. "What brings you out here anyways?" She kept off the subject of him living with her for now, trying to get to know him more. She went to wondering what Letakida would think about him and if they'd like each other. "And no more sticking your head into logs." She said with a stern motherly look. She didn't feel like chewing on nasty logs again. Now... the fresh ones were good, but old rotting ones... no... not those.

"Thanks," Tsôtsi blubbered with a grin. He shuffled his feet, flustered. No one had ever told him he had a cute name before. Heck, no one had ever used the mention of him with the word "cute" in a sentence at all. Quickly changing his demeanor and clearing his throat, he put on a smirk. "Well, I live out here." he said airily in reply to her question. "...Sort of..." He glanced back a ways at the dried-out brambles he "lived" in. Pfft, it was decent. It's not like he wasn't happy there or anything. He glanced up at her on her comment about logs and raised an eyebrow. "It was an accident, alrighhhht?" he drawled, turning his head in an attempt to look care-free instead of how he really felt: embarrassed.

She raised a brown. He was an silly little guy, now wasn't he? "Well, I guess if you live with me, it'll sorta be your home too. " Thinking about it, she really had no exactly place she lived. Just roamed and when she got tired, she'd head back to the general area she was, but never truly back to the same area. It was probably best she started doing that soon. "Well, you need to be more careful. What if I wasn't here to help you? Or if someone else didn't come along?" She said in a serious voice.

Tsôtsi glared. "If you weren't there to help me, I woulda been fine!" he blurted out, obviously lying. "I've been through worse situations than that, anyway..." His eyes wandered away from her and his train of thought went elsewhere. He sighed and squinted up at the hot sun. "Thanks..." he said after a while. "I'll try to be more careful." He sat down abruptly, a cloud of dusty dirt flowing up, and began to think about how it looked where Sauda lived.

She sighed. She didn't want to think about anything else bad that happened to him. No pup should go through horrible things, but some times it happened. "Well, not anymore it won't." She said with a nod. At least not until he was an adult that was. Her tail wagged as she watched him sit down. Wondering where she'd head off with him first. In the same direction she normally went most likely. "Well, I don't really have a real home, but I guess we could find one." She said with a smile.
It wouldn't be hard to find a nice safe place, right? And she'd have to remember to come back to the spot with food, and other things for the pup. It was going to be hard, but she could do it. She could be a mother, right? "So how about it?"

At the words "find one", Tsôtsi's ears stood tall. Finding? Finding was what Tsôtsi loved to do best. Unless, of course, what he was finding caused him to end up stuck in a log. He shuddered faintly at the memory of musty-log smell, which was still floating around in his nose. "You wanna know what I think?" he said wryly. Bouncing up from his spot in the dirt, he spun around to face her. He pointed his face up until their noses were almost touching. He smirked. "I think that sounds like a plan." Then, with a cocky laugh, Tsôtsi went running.

As he started to run she called out. "Wait! Wait for me!" Such a hyper little pup, she thought as she started to trot after him. At least she didn't have to run too fast to keep up with him. That was one thing that was good about long legs to short ones. She loved the feeling of running. The sound of her paws hitting the ground, the feel of the wind blowing at her hair. It was lovely. Sauda's pink eyes watched Tosotsi, and the land as they ran towards no where at all.
