Amanda glared right back. Her wrist was killing her but she had the knife to his chest. "Are you sure about that?" she challenged. 'who the hell does this guy think he is?..'

She rolled her eyes and slid off the counter pushing him out of the way. "Kill me...and you won't have anyone to stare at" she grimaced "I'm not stupid Jamie..at least I know I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty" she walked back into the living room,sitting on the couch.She rubbed her wrist.

He smirked, "The boss of the mafia." he replied, leaning over to her. Damn, he wanted to kiss her! His boys would wait until they were done, like usual when he brought a girl to be his lapwarmer in meetings. Amanda was different though, but they didn't know that.

Damn! He lay down on the couch, was she so damned impervious to him? Most girls melted in his hands when he did that! That just made him wanna try harder. Maybe he'd go sneak into the bat-
The door opened and a flow of men older than him barged in. "Boss! We have a crisis!"
"What?" he glared at his right hand man.
"Christine has ratted us out!" the man yelled.
"Shush!" Jamie shot up. "Christine?"
"Yes, the girl who was here for the past three me-"
"Yes, I know Christine!" he snapped at them. "Reconnaissance, Lars, Opal, Lyle and Perry, report back to me in two days. Kerra, you go to the allies and inform them. The rest of you..." he sighed. "Go get us some cookies, the Missus isn't with us."
"What?" they all exclaimed.
"JUST GET ME MY DAMN SNICKERDOODLES!" he yelled, and watched the crowd scatter.

When Amanda was done doing her hair,she walked over to the kitchen getting hit by a crowd of guys. She rolled her eyes and went to the door grabbing her knee high converses slipping the on. She grabbed her jacket .'Damn it!' she had to go back to the living room to get her cell. She walked back to the living room trying not to grab anyones attention. She grabbed her cell and started heading for the door.
