"Well then, perhaps you are a mighty hunter after all." She smiled. "Sorry about er... your tooth." The lioness stifled a giggle inside at the sight, while her heart went out at his loss.
Keefa trotted up to the kill, sniffing it well before tearing the flesh of it's belly with her teeth.

Gouta's eyes flicked back to his tooth in the dirt and his heart sank. It would be so awkward for him to eat now, in fact, he wasn't even sure if he could. As Keefa ripped open their meal, he smiled. Well, it wouldn't hurt to attempt to eat.
"Now, now. The more scars and missing body parts I have, the more handsome I get! Isn't that right?" He asked with a chuckle. At least his lover, Bwana, looked very manly with his scars.
Walking over to the kill, he crouched next to her and began to eat his fill. It hurt his mouth a little bit, and he had to chew more on one side than the other. But other than that he could eat just fine.
After his belly began to fill up, he pulled himself away from the carcass and watched her. He was thirsty now, and the only solution to that was to go to the waterhole.
"When you're finished, wanna go get some water with me?"

With bugs taking up the biggest part of her diet, Keefa's stomach was not able to hold too terribly large of an amount of food. In fact, she had already finished and only nibbled here and there to make sure he wouldn't feel awkward.
"A drink sounds lovely," she said as she gave her bloodied paw and face a few licks. Indeed, splatters of blood soaked her fur all the way up to her ears.

Gouta laughed at her when he saw her face. She obviously didn't eat large animals often if she got that messy. When she agreed, he nodded with a smile. The lion knew there was a water hole nearby, even if it was the same one where Bwana, his lover, had gotten injured by a crocodile. But it's not like they would venture out into the water, or at least Gouta wouldn't since he had learned from that experience.
"Follow me! We can come back later and eat more if you'd like." He said cheerfully. That was unless the hyenas got to it first.
With that he lead them off in the direction of the water hole and Gouta couldn't be happier with his new friend.
