She perked up and nodded at where she thought Donnie was. "If you can speak then I should be able to follow you without trouble!" She smiled happily until the thunder roared out loudly and she twitched, frowning.
"Do you think you can speak louder than that when it yells.. I might get slighty distracted" She giggled a little when she starts to follow him.

Donnie furrowed his brow a little bit. "Hmm. I can try. Or, you can hold onto me if you want. Either way, I'll try to speak up."
He began to run forward, calling out to her as he did. "Come on, this way!"

She looked lightly confused before following his voice again. "How would I hold onto you? Wouldn't it be hard for me to hold you with my paw and run at the same time? Or I can hold onto your tail with my mouth!"
The thunder grew to a loud roar and she began to hesitate, looking out towards the sky. "Huh.."

Donnie looked behind him and realized she wasn't with him. At this time, rain began to pour out of the sky. Donnie didn't really mind all that much, but he was a little concerned for Mint, and a little upset with himself for leaving her behind. He turned around and went back to her, for he had not gone very far. "You can hold onto my tail with your mouth if you want to. And I'm sorry, I guess I didn't yell loud enough." Donnie was trying to speak as loud as he could to be heard over the rain and the thunder. He extended his tail to her, hoping that she would grab it and make it easier on both of them.

Mint looked up.. or really turned her head up, to the sky even more.. her ears twitching at the sound of the thunder and her face looked peaceful from it. "Ohh.." She seemed like she couldn't hear anything else until Donnie came back to her and she jolts out of a trance like state.
"W-what.. O-Oh geeze. I'm sorry Donnie! Thunder tends to make me become.. dazed and very out of it... Mint feels the wind from the boy's tail and moves her muzzle towards it and bites it softly to keep hold. She muffles a "Thank you"While she tries not to pull or tug the tail to hard.

Donnie laughed, "That's ok."
He felt her grab onto his tail and he called to her again, this time a little louder, "Alright! Here we go!" He then began to run again. He made sure to keep a look out for any kind of stumps or rocks that Mint could trip over, and tried to avoid them, or at least warn her that they were coming. Every so often he would look back to make sure she was doing ok.
A little ways ahead Donnie could see the river. Just across the river were some mountains, and he knew there would be some shelter in the caves there. He did wonder how they would get across the river though. Donnie knew he could jump over it...he just hoped that Mint could. Just then another bout of thunder roared, this time with a bolt of lightning. The storm was coming upon them. He called back to Mint. "Are you ok?"

Mint was doing well on concentrating to where they whereheaded. She tried to keep her thoughts to continue padding only ahead of her, several times she would wonder out of her train of thought but she forcefully pushed it back to Donnie and how helpful he's being to her.
Mint continued onward and only though of one thing. 'Don't get distracted' Btu this all fell as she shivered from the crack of thunder which was almost piercing to her ears, she ended up dropping donnie's tail from her mouth and movie towards the sound in small movements, her already foggy gray eyes seemed to daze and yearn for the sound that gave her picture.
"Huh..?" She couldn't comprehend what Donnie was saying because she had become so distracted she forgot who was with her.. Mint wondered if the voice she heard was just a remembered thought or if someone was talkign to her...

Donnie stopped and turned to her as soon as he felt her loose grip of his tail. It was quite now, except for the faint rumble, meaning that another clap would be on it's way. The gray clouds churned in the sky over head. The weather didn't frighten him, but he was concerned for Mint. He didn't know if it frightened her or not.
He nudged her gently and asked, "What's wrong?"
