Hirimi glanced at him when he finished, then glanced around the room. "I think... you shouldn't have let it get to you so bad. They didn't understand, they didn't have the right to judge, or pity. The only person allowed to pity you is yourself, and even then it's by choice."

Ryan looked up again. "I know...I didn't mind at first, but I just got so sick of it. Sick of how they'd shove dirt in my father's face first in my face, then behind my back. They never knew how much honor he had, how he was trying to care for me by finding a job. No, he's an ungrateful b*****d for going off to find a job, he shouldn't have left me with my uncle." He punched the bed with his right fist, wincing. "They didn't know the reason why my father chose to do that...or if they did, they just wanted to ignore it."

Hirimi knew he was upset, really upset. She wanted to comfort him, probably because she didn't like it when people were upset or depressed. She glanced at him when he punched the bed, unsure about what she could say, hopefully to cheer him, if only a little. "It must have been hard on you growing up like that..." She then gave him a reasuring smile. "I'm glad... you could trust me enough to tell me this. People are always saying it's a lot easier when you don't have to keep everything to yourself."

Ryan nodded. "Perhaps you're right..." ...and perhaps not. That will have to wait, though. He shrugged. "Either way...the fair was still nice. I feel bad for you, because you don't seem to have known what it was like. There was more to it, too. The skill games, the races, the sports bets, the chance games..." Ryan then chuckled a bit. "It was fun to be there, even if all you did was watch the events."

When Ryan said it was sad she didn't know what a fair was like, she shrugged. "Actually, to tell the truth I actually might have known what one was.... I just can't remember it. I can't remember anything from my life before Soul Society, except for maybe a flash of light and a really loud annoying sound..." Hirimi had figured out through what she rembered how she died... or probably died.

Ryan shrugged. "Well, I worked on a farm, so I can't help you there, unless you died in an atomic bomb explosion. My apologies if you did, because Hiroshima and Nagasaki, to me, felt like necessary evils as a means to end World War Two." He looked up and sighed. "I never paid much attention to that part of the war, though...anyway. The fair itself, while it had its games, we also had what we called the Greenvale Olympics." He then paused for a second, remembering what Hirimi had said. "You know...sporting competitions, gold, silver and bronze medals, stuff like that. We even made our own little Olympic rings flag that flew over the town hall when the fair was on."

He smiled a bit. That had actually been fun. "We had lots of events. We had an auto race, where people pulled out their cars and raced them. There was what we called a horse race, but because only a few people had horses, others brought bulls, or cows, or other animals. One year, someone managed to actually get a hold of a wild buffalo to race it. Probably the most humiliating event in the history of our little Games..."

Still feeling a bit dazed with drowsiness overtaking him, Nagi tried not to let it get to him as he ascended the stairs to the first room on the second floor. It had taken him quite a while to realize where he was actually going and was actually surprised to notice that he was back on his own grounds. Yuki- probably making sure he didn't fall backward down the steps- was close on his heels. He still felt a bit bad that she was awake on his account and wouldn't have been surprised at all if she was still angry with him.

Though his memory was a bit off tonight, he had this feeling that the two of them had been in this place before, heading for the same destination. He did not fully recall what had happened but for some reason, he could feel his face growing warmer and warmer the more he thought about it. Seeing her in those pajamas didn't help matters.

At that moment, he stopped trying to think as he slid open the door and stepped into his designated room. It had been a while since he actually slept in here for his office was usually his first choice for a resting location but since there was a futon already made for him here, he didn't care where he passed out.

Yuki was practically shoving Nagi back to his squad. He had to lead the way because she had only been here once, and she wasn't really looking then. When he lead her to the Barracks she didn't really notice how simmaler the surroundings where until they made it there, and she flushed a bit with the memory as she helped him up to his room like he was some kind of drunkard.

"Jeze Nagi... What where you thinking running yourself into the ground, at his hour, like that?"

She asked as she walked him over to his futon. She helped him lay down, concerned that he might just fall over and crack his head on the floor in his exhaustion. Seeing him so tired was making her tired, and a yawn escaped her mouth as she remembered that his excursion had woken her up too.

As Nagi found himself staring at the ceiling, he shrugged a bit, feeling his eyelids suddenly start to become lead.

"I didn't run myself into the ground though..." he replied, trying his best not to laugh. "It just came up at me really fast..."

Though his last comment was merely a joke, it gave him the time to think of the real answer for he had to remember exactly what it was. At the moment it came to him, he suddenly felt as if he were about to complain about something.

"I just couldn't sleep." he sighed. "I've always had some trouble trying to sleep at night. I normally take naps during the day but lately with all of this training going on, I haven't had much of a chance. I think that I ended up no your roof because just thinking of you put my mind at ease."

Yuki couldn't help but think they had to have pills for that kind of insomnia, but at the same time she was grateful that he needed her. She had to admit, it was good to be wanted. Aw hell, she was already here, and in her pajamas no less. She looked around the room for something to rip to bandage his head.

"Well... If it will get you to sleep... I guess I could stay."

She said, her statement was a neutral one, but her voice was soft, and said that she wanted to stay. Sadly she didn't find anything to patch up his bleeding with, it was already starting to seal up anyway. With a huge yawn she layed down with him. There wasn't enough pillow so she settled for his chest.

The moment she said the word "stay" Nagi's face began to grow warm again. He didn't utter anything to that (especially protest) as she rested her head against his chest, using him as a pillow. He was really too tired to feel nervous at this point. Everything felt so comfortable and perfect that he didn't want to ever have to move again.

Unfortunately, there was one little detail that had to be mentioned that was going to make things really awkward. It wasn't that big a deal, but he knew it would get to him after a while if it wasn't taken care of.

"Hey... um, Yuki?" he asked, sounding nervous though he tried his hardest not to. "You might need to move your head for a second... I just realized that it's a bad idea to go to sleep with my uniform on."

He wasn't about to explain the fact that he'd most likely overheat and die in his sleep for he was sure Yuki would probably realize that.

Yuki was starting to drift off to sleep when Nagi's voice rumbled against her ear, it was intresting to feel the noise as well as hear it wile her head rested against his chest. However what he said made her wonder something.

"What kind of Pajamas do you have?"

She asked, sitting up. Yuki looked down at him and wondered if he would need any help, he certainly wasn't coordinated enough to get here, why would he be coordinated enough to... No, no no. She pushed those thoughts from her mind before they went any farther.

Nagi's face continued to flush as he sat up and removed his haori and black uniform top. He stood up though wobbling a bit but felt better due to the fact that he felt a lot lighter with the removal of the layers. The way he was feeling strongly reminded him of the time he tried Sake and what had happened afterward. The past event reminded him never to drink with Kuro and Iu again.

"Well..." Nagi uttered, trying not to sound too awkward at that point. There was really no truthful way to answer her question without sounding like some kind of freak. As he tried to find the right answer, he hung up his captain's coat and tossed his black coat in a laundry basket. Glad that the room was completely dark, he wasn't afraid to change into his preferred night clothing which consisted of a plain white yukata. "Whatever I fall asleep in I suppose... as I stated earlier, I normally fall asleep in my office... but when I'm alone in here... I usually just wear what is..."

He paused for a moment as he tied a black obi around his waste.
"Comfortable." he finished while turning back toward her and his bed. Though Nagi had horrible vision in the light, he had no trouble with spotting anything in the dark. He could easily see the shapes of objects in his room around him, including the location of his futon and the girl in it. Feeling his face begin to turn into something feeling and resembling a chili pepper, he strode to his bed and returned his head to the pillow. It wasn't hurting or throbbing as much. His tired body made everything seem kind of numb at this point.

A second later, he let out a small laugh.
"I remember now..." he grinned, wanting to stuff his pillow into his face before he spoke the words "what happened here last time." He wasn't about to for he knew that Yuki would know the rest because of the amused yet embarrassed tone in his voice.

Yuki stole the pillow as Nagi got up to do his thing, she knew if she thought too much about it things would spiral to less sleep inducing activities. However she couldn't help but glance back as he paused in saying what he usually wore when he slept here. She was just a little sad that she wasn't rewarded with much of a view, but kept that to herself as Nagi lay back down beside her.

She rested her head on his chest again, not having the heart to rob her love of a pillow after she smashed his head with a rock. Once again, she started to drift off to sleep, but was interrupted by a statement that made her laugh.

"Do you now?... I would have reminded you if you asked."

She said, a touch of teasing laughter entering her voice as she spoke.

Nagi just lightly chuckled as he lightly placed his arms around her and held her close. Now back in the comfortable position, he felt his body relax once more as well as his mind. The lovely scent of her hair drifted up to his nose, making him want to bury his face in it. He was beginning to think that when he fell off that roof, he died and this was the eternal nirvana that awaited him. Such a thought made him shun the morning.

"That depends on what I would have asked for..." came his reply in a whisper. With that, he leaned his head downward a bit and kissed her on top of the head. As he placed his head back down, the feeling of exhaustion hit him between the eyes as he felt the room begin to turn a bit. His body had reached its limit and he was unable to stay awake no more even though his mind wanted to spend more time with her.

"Good night, Yuki." he said as his eyes were forced shut, giving into the sleepy haze. Moment's later, for the first time in months, he was fast asleep.
